Prize Task

The Prize Task was "Funniest picture of an object with your name on it."

• BTS miraculously found a bench with a Mini-js logo, which is close to one of hellbooks' monkers.
  
• For their teammate Mist, Noraa's faves (and het) found a T-shirt featuring a gravestone stating "RIP boiled water You will be mist." (Note: The Taskmaster found the T-shirt too cringy to actually wear.)
  
• Everyone Else Sucks showed a photo of the Novelty store CRAPORAMA on behalf of their team member ORAM, which was perhaps more bizarre than funny.
  
• The Human Beans found 8% Natural Growth Enhancer pills with one of their team member's first names on it.
  
• Intensive Care Bears took an early lead with a photo of CreativeMod1 flipping off the camera, with a sticky note covering his face. Written on the sticky note was Searl's former username. That teammate had traveled by train to personally deliver the sticky note and take the photo.

Team Spirit

Next, the Taskmaster reviewed the first task that all the teams had completed, which was to design a team flag and have all team members create identical physical copies of it. It could not be simply printed out; it had to be created using "various arts/crafts." There was some disagreement among some contestants with the Taskmaster about which flags were most identical, though this was not the only factor considered when judging.

• Noraa's faves and het discussed how their flag honored Noraa and the concept of Noraa Korea.
  
• BTS, standing in this case for Bailey's Task Seekers, featured pictures of GeorgeBailey's avatar and their team color. They tied with Noraa's faves and het with two points each.
  
• The Intensive Care Bears made the creative decision to make cakes. They would come to greatly regret this decision not only because it made it more difficult to make identical flags for purposes of the task, but for reasons that will become apparent very soon.
  
• The Human Beans had very happy beans. The design was commended. They tied for first place.
  
• Everyone Else Sucks described the symbolism with all of their design choices in detail, which contributed to their winning score in the task.

Easy as ABC

Immediately after completing the previous task, teams received instructions for the long-term "Easy as ABC" task. They needed to get a picture of these original team flags taken in as many cities starting with different letters of the alphabet. It was recommended to take a picture of them next to a landmark.

• It worked against Intensive Care Bears that they had cakes for flags. Some photos they submitted showed a sad bag of too-old cake. They also submitted the most entries that were deemed not to be cities, frustrating CreativeMod1.
  
• While Noraa's faves and het made it to fewer cities than some teams, they gained 3 of their points from cities not starting with letters in the English alphabet thanks to Skelda's vacation.
  
• BTS took third, being one of only two teams to get the letter Y. schadd_ also notably checked off 5 different cities in one day.
  
• Everyone Else Sucks managed second places with 16 cities.
  
• The Human Beans got first place with 21 cities. They enlisted roommates and family members to help, and one team member even mailed their flag to another when he misplaced his.

Bonus Task

The Human Beans located & completed their secret bonus task of completing a naming ceremony for beans. Emrys completed this and earned her team one extra point.

Sketchy Situation

In this solo task completed by a single team member, players had only 10 minutes to draw a fursona of a member of their team. The Taskmaster was complimentary overall, and judged the artwork based on the style of fursona as well as artistic merit. xofelf won for The Human Beans with Searl coming in close second for Intensive Care Bears.

The Sun and the Rain

Teams were requested in the task to provide the best interpretation of Rainy, Sunny's British cousin, and honestly, they were all very fun.

Spoiler:

Two teams tied for first place. For the Human Beans, Vash took the role of Internet Historian "Mortimer McClapycurhands" from 2075 and did a deep dive into the internet meme Rainy. Everyone Else Sucks provided a musical parody video with the refrain of "Just count on natural immunity," sung by Mina. Rainy was portrayed as the polar opposite of Sunny. Unfortunately, EES's video was removed from YouTube because of it being reviewed as having violated community guidelines, but we found a work-around to still show the video.

Also providing a video with a clever jingle was Noraa's faves and het, sung by Skelda. This team scored just behind the first place teams. BTS presented Rainy with an "unsafety rap" and a fact sheet including the fact "smug bitch." Intensive Care Bears showed a billboard campaign for Sunny, a yellow character with a British flag hat encouraging British tourism.

Prize Task

For this Prize Task, teams were asked to present the "most frustrating thing."

• BTS provided a 2020 tweet about someone who had to remove a bat from their bedroom and get a rabies shot. This tweet was found by the Taskmaster to be "viscerally the least frustrating" but acknowledged that the team not being here to defend the choice could be a factor.
  
• Noraa's faves (and het) submitted a stream of het playing QWOP. The Taskmaster commented that he felt bad giving this 2 points, but didn't budge.
  
• Everyone Else Sucks submitted screenshots of them trying to coordinate to nab the number 10,000 in the counting tiebreaker game, but Vash beating them to the punch.
  
• Intensive Care Bears put together a sarcastic collage of some of Cephrir's least favourite moments in Survivor history, such as bad twists. Cephrir commented that he personally has experienced great frustration from this.
  
• The Human Beans took the lead from xofelf's retelling of an experience of being shipped a large quality of wholesale electronic returns and not being able to get rid of them.

Child's Play

Child's Play was a solo task primarily completed by one team member. However, the other two team members were asked to complete word association first. Then, the third teammate would make up a childhood game based around the word chosen by their teammates. They had two minutes to tell the Taskmaster about their game and the best game that fit the chosen word the closest would win.

• Mina from Everyone Else Sucks misinterpreted what providing answers might entail, and led her team in preparing a large list of children's games. ORAM was challenged by basing a game around something that's already a game. ORAM described a game where some kids would be using a jump rope to help them climb up a play structure and reach other children (the "targets"). "Children as targets" became a joke.
  
• Also getting two points was the Human Beans. xofelf explained a game they played with emrys in childhood in which the "babysitter" would pretend to be asleep while the other players would try to sneak up on them and tag them to win.
  
• For Intensive Care Bears, BipolarChemist had started describing a game about teams tossing a plush heart to each other, but ran out of time to fully flesh it out.
  
• Noraa's faves (and het) plotted that Mist would provide answers starting with vowels and Skelda would provide answers starting with consonants. While het initially seemed thrown off by the strategy not being very relevant, he earned his team four points by describing a game where you compete against another player to paint stripes on an object to try to paint the last stripe. His example object was a potato.
  
• BTS won five points for their "DC" game, where you sing every other word in an AC/DC song, and could go around in a circle doing so. Taskmaster player het commented that for "Back in Black," you would skip both back and black and be saying "in". This game was actually played in Mish Mash following this episode.

Sticks and Stones

In this solo task, players were asked to write a poem that could cheer up Ceph on a bad day and make him the happiest. They had just 10 minutes to make this happen.

Cephrir chose to judge this task based on the closeness of the emotion to happiness. Ethel from Intensive Care Bears earned 5 points for evoking happiness. Skelda from Noraa's faves (and het) also earned 5 points for evoking poetic thoughtfulness. Mina from Everyone Else Sucks earned 3 points for evoking embarrassment. emrysmoonchild from the Human Beans earned 2 points for making the Taskmaster feel "lumpy." BTS earned 1 point for making him confused.

Hat Trick

In this team task, a player needed to make a top hat that represents who they are using as few standard arts and crafts supplies as possible. The Taskmaster complained about there being three criteria.

• BTS submitted a hat made out of a paint can, paint brushes and a palette to represent their team's shared interest in art. It was criticized by the Taskmaster for not being very wearable.
  
• Intensive Care Bears submitted a hat that seemed to be an eagle mask on top of a cowboy hat, donned by their team member who portrayed Eagle in Survivor of the Fittest and is dating a Texan. It amused the Taskmaster, but appeared lower effort than other submissions.
  
• Noraa's Faves (and het) earned 3 points for their hat made of leftover record sleeves, donned by music-loving het.
  
• Everyone Else Sucks earned 4 points for their hat, donned by Mina, made up of family photos.
  
• The Human Beans earned 5 points for their hat, donned by Vash, who made a hat out of unusual science knick-knacks. It had a lightbulb on top that could be switched on.

Bonus Task

Everyone Else Sucks completed their bonus task of poorly redoing a task they'd already completed, earning their team one bonus point in this episode. Mina submitted a hat that was simply a sushi go box on her head.

If it ain't broke

In this team task, teams competed to break something and then fix it. The best fix would win.

• Everyone Else Sucks submitted a creation with blocks that was broken, then rebuilt better.
  
• Noraa's faves (and het) had Mist make cut-offs from Jeans, and then make a patch of painted jeans in a better color (puppet-sized).
  
• Tying with Mist's submission, the Human Beans submitted a "Not Today Satan" mug that was broken and then refurbished as "Not Today Santa."
  
• For BTS, GeorgeBailey decimated a toothbrush including sending it through a blender, then glued it back together.
  
• Intensive Care Bears worked with CreativeMod1's significant other to "break" CM1's avatar. The "break" was to turn his mouth and eyes upside down. As a diversion, they requested access to some of his personal spreadsheets and then asked repeatedly if CM1 had found what they broke. Their "fix" was to change the avatar again to have right-side up facial features, but new and improved ones. This change was less subtle.

Prize Task

For this Prize Task, teams were asked to present the "best stolen item."

• Everyone Else Sucks presented ORAM's family cat, adopted off the street and thus ostensibly stolen. (1 pt.)
  
• The Human Beans presented a newspaper article summarizing how emrys has stolen xof's face. They are difficult to tell apart in childhood photos. (2 pts.)
  
• BTS presented a notebook that schadd_ used to make Taskmaster-related notes and also shoplifted. (3 pts.)
  
• Noraa's faves (and het) presented an abandoned rotary phone that Mist stole from their workplace and turned into a dial-in guestbook for their sister's wedding.(4 pts.)
  
• Intensive Care Bears presented video footage of having broken into the Taskmaster prod team's YouTube channel, locked other users out of it, and then uploaded a stolen copy of the scene from National Treasure where Nicholas Cage steals the Declaration of Independence. (5 pts.)

Divide and Conquer

Teams privately provided 5 multiple choice questions with two answers. Their goal was to be polarizing and get an even split with their answers when scummers were polled.

Picture Perfect

In this task, teams competed to provide a panoramic photo in which one member of your team is personally in the photo as many times as possible doing a completely different activity each time. The Taskmaster was rating them both on the most interesting photo and most activities.

• Everyone Else Sucks had ORAM re-enact activities from their "the Sun and the Rain" video in honour of their original goal of having him be Sunny in that task. Their submission had 4 activities. (1 pt.)
  
• Noraa's faves (and het) had Skelda imitate student and teacher activities in a classroom setting. The Taskmaster complimented them on the coherence of their photo. Their submission had 5 activities. (4 pts.)
  
• The Human Beans had emrys tell a story beginning with loneliness and ending with hosting a party of sorts for stuffed animals. emrys is not fully visible for two of these activities, and schadd_ (from BTS) joked that it's relatable to be lonely, looking for friends "and then the void takes you." Their submission had "6ish" activities. The Taskmaster complimented the playing cards with animals. (4 pts.)
  
• Intensive Care Bears had BPC depict a backyard party where people are watering the lawn, looking for beer, etc. Their submission had 8 activities and was also complimented for coherence. (4 pts.)
  
• BTS had GeorgeBailey in a dining area doing various activities, such as playing chess against himself, sparking controversy as to whether these were separate activities. Their submission had 9 activities. (4 pts.)

Bonus Task

Noraa's faves (and het) had a bonus task to privately count to 500 as a team, subject to a few restrictions. This was a riff on their complaints about other teams' behaviour in the counting tiebreaker. They completed this and earned 1 bonus point in this episode.

Flying High

This was a solo task where players had 1 hour to upload the "best paper airplane video." The Taskmaster noted that all five were art and all were good.

• BTS - schadd_ made a dramatic short video in which he throws a paper airplane, and then makes it appear as if it destroyed his garage on impact. "I could tell you were shocked from the way you just mildly said 'my garage,' commented the Taskmaster." schadd_ explained that a lot of his ideas didn't end up working. (2 pts.)
  
• Everyone Else Sucks - Captain "The Worst" talked us through a short flight on "Everyone Else Sucks" Airlines with a safe landing on the garden path. (2 pts.)
  
• Noraa's faves (and het) - het had prepared for a task more along the lines of keeping a paper airplane in the air for as long as possible, so this ended up being a video of an airplane floating above a fan to Iron Maiden. It cuts to him dramatically headbanging near the end. (3 pts.)
  
• Intensive Care Bears - BPC provided a compilation of many paper airplane stunts, such as setting an airplane on fire. For comedic effect, Chemist stated "airplanes" many times. The Taskmaster referred to it as "so bad it's good." (4 pts.)
  
• The Human Beans - Vash as the "Joey Three Fingers" character provided a surprisingly high production value airplane tutorial. (5 pts.)

Pranks for the Memories

This team task was to complete the "most wholesome and funny prank." Teams were not allowed to prank strangers and needed to make their victims feel good.

• BTS- This team submitted a video of GeorgeBailey rickrolling several people on discord, and then elaborately rickrolling someone in person multiple times. This scored lower than other entries because some victims may have been left feeling "cross." (1 pt.)
  
• THB- xofelf and emrys pranked a family member by pretending not to be available for a family gathering and then surprising some of their family members. This was considered wholesome, but less funny than other entries. (2 pts.)
  
• EES- This team submitted evidence of ORAM pretending that the family cat (yes, the "stolen" cat) puked in his sister's room. He actually leaving her three wholesome notes, held up by some stuffed animals. This was considered the most wholesome, but not trying to be funny. (3 pts.)
  
• NF(ah)- het and Skelda conspired to prank their own teammate Mist by designing a secret, fake task that they would love getting to do. Mist went above and beyond on the fake adorable drawing task, and recorded a video of them swapping drawings with a friend every five minutes. Skelda then posted a video in their team channel purporting to be a prank on Skelda's students, but it was actually het explaining the prank. Part of the comedy of this was that Mist ended up pasting the entire dictionary looking for more secret tasks. (5 pts.)
  
• ICB- This team had BPC prank the Taskmaster himself. The video was presented as if BPC was a YouTuber reporting to "Bear Nation" and then takes place at Ceph's house. BPC gave a gift of bagged milk, which Ceph loves, and then hugged him. But the bagged milk was just American milk in a plastic bag. (5 pts.)

For this Prize Task, teams were asked to present the "dumbest gendered thing."

Ventriloquist Smarty

For this solo task, players were told to research another mod/spectator/player on another team before the task began and then announce their choice. Then, they needed to complete a video interview as their chosen person and explain why they are the best fit for the job. The most convincing impression would win.

Time to Get Tricky

In this team task, players needed to perform the "most miraculous miracle."

• EES presented a random.org roll that was very unlikely. (1 pt.)
  
• For ICB, BPC presented a short video in which water was turned into wine by a "rapscallion." (1 pt.)
  
• NF&H presented a video in which Skelda wins an arcade game challenge against several spectators. (1 pt.)
  
• THB had emrys turned water into wine and detailed the recipe, including items like patience. The Taskmaster commented that they "at least tried." (3 pts.)
  
• For BTS, hellbooks and schadd_ together documented several miracles, such as getting up off their asses, having a simultaneous heart attack and resurrection. (5 pts.)

Yogatta Let Me Go

In this solo task, team members needed to do yoga poses while stopping their time as close to the seven minute mark as possible by stating the phrase "Yogatta let me go." Phrases were provided by video recording and included "Chasing your dog" and "blooming banana peel." Timing devices were banned. The Taskmaster could add/remove points based on poses. The yoga phrase stated closest to the seven minute mark was "lightning strike" at 7 minutes and 7 seconds.

Sadly, hellbooks and Skelda would have been 10 and 14 seconds off had they remembered to state "Yogatta let me go" at the time that they wanted to stop the task. ORAM was also notable in this task for mishearing a lot of the Yoga phrases.

Rainbow Road

In this solo task, players needed to complete seven mini-tasks as quickly as possible. Each task had the name of a color: "red task," "indigo task," etc.

Red	Redo every mini-task you're already completed in the same order.
Orange	Do 5 Star Jumps (Jumping Jacks) for every task you've already completed.
Yellow	Send the Taskmaster a message confessing a secret to them that you've never told them before.
Green	On the piece of paper that's been set aside for this task, do a sketch of your team flag. The sketch must fill the whole piece of paper.
Blue	Rip up the piece of paper that's been set aside for this task into 8 equal pieces and then hide all 8 pieces in 8 different places.
Indigo	Put on a t-shirt on top of the one you're already wearing and keep it there for the rest of the tasks. The bottom of the t-shirt must go all the way down to your hips and the top must be around your neck.
Purple	Ensure that a hand is stuck to your hip for the rest of the mini-tasks.

Many players struggled due to completing tasks in an order close to the pseudo-random order provided: blue, green, yellow, violet, orange, red, indigo. Mist for Noraa's faves (and het) was the most successful overall due to choosing to go in backwards order. The actual most optimal order was rainbow order.

In this team task, players were asked to take a short video in which they were camouflaged in plain sight and then reveal themselves. The most dramatic reveal would win. The Taskmaster wasn't super thrilled by the submissions as a whole and wasn't sure that a lot of them fit the prompt.

My Precious

In the My Precious solo task, players were tasked with showing off their biggest collection of the same thing within 4 minutes. They were asked to show each item to the camera and then take a photo to show off the whole collection.

Spreading the Love

In this team task, teams needed to provide the most impressive spreadsheet (and thereby hopefully impress CM1). Based on this wording, Cephrir decided to let CM1 take lead on the judging.

Congrats to the Intensive Care Bears (Searl, BipolarChemist, and Ethel). We commend Searl and BipolarChemist for leading this team and being a duo that stayed on top of deadlines very well. This team effectively used their knowledge of the Taskmaster to pander effectively. They provided a lot of entertainment by trolling the Taskmaster and the production team. Besides being the series winner, they won two episodes.

The Human Beans very narrowly earned 2nd place and also won two episodes. Taskmaster veterans Vash and xofelf were part of the winning team last season and were one point shy of their second victory. They were a very coordinated team, doing a lot of team calls together to tackle team tasks, complete with high production values and frequently the assistance of a roommate. Newbie emrysmoonchild brought joy and enthusiasm.

Noraa's faves (and het) were a dark horse in this series and a big rival to the Human Beans, with het having defected from working with Vash and xof in the prior season, and Skelda maintaining a friendly rivalry with Vash in most games. This level-headed team worked together to try to outsmart tasks (Rainbow Road and Easy as ABC are great examples of this working out for them.) They were a spicy team that sometimes argued with the Taskmaster with great fervor. We saw great examples of their love for art, literature and music in this series.

Everyone Else Sucks were notable for their commitment to the tiebreaker challenge, but their efforts paid off when this helped them win the final episode! This team did not know each other particularly well going into this and came from 3 continents, and so it was a joy to see them connect and work together well in this series. They dubbed ORAM their "funny decider," providing direction among ideas their team threw out. They showed incredible teamwork in their entry for The Sun and the Rain, which comically and unfortunately got removed from YouTube due to violating the medical misinformation policy.

BTS were the underdogs of this series, going in as relatively new to this side of the site and therefore not knowing the Taskmaster as well. We enjoyed matchmaking this already-a-friend-group into being a Taskmaster team. I think that they stood out for the humor that they brought to the game, both in their successes and when things didn't go as planned. schadd_ provided great commentary during the live episodes. GeorgeBailey's commitment to breaking the toothbrush is unforgettable. hellbooks and schadd_ crushed the miracles task when they miraculously were in the same town! hellbooks's childhood game that she thought was a disaster not only won, but actually got played in Mish Mash.

Overall: Fun was had, and this also took longer than it should have to get done. We appreciate Cephrir for stepping up to be our Taskmaster, and are glad he seemed to enjoy it overall. CM1 invested a lot into designing and running this and I'm glad noraa and I were able to assist in making his vision happen.

Likely there will be a season 3 at some point in the near-ish future, so keep an eye out if you're interested in being involved in that in any way.
