Magua drummed his fingers on the manila folder. It was stuffed full of various papers.

zoraster narrowed his eyes.

Magua narrowed his eyes right back.

"You've got nothing," zoraster said.

Magua made an elaborate show of opening the folder and selecting the very top paper from it. "How about this one?" he asked, rhetorically. "Just today. Turns out you've been sending GreyICE other player's role PMs."

zoraster was uncharacteristically silent.

"You've been making my life a living hell," Magua continued. "Now, there's going to be some changes, or mith is going to hear about all of these moderation errors you've been doing."

The look on zoraster's eyes could flash-fry a salmon from fifty yards. "This is blackmail."

"Yes, yes it is," Magua replied. "First, I want admin privileges, but without a horrid Skittle color. Second, I want..."

Role PMs

Spoiler: Cabd - When the Mod Doesn’t Replace Lurkers, a Limited Vote Mover
This thread is kind of dead, you know? People not posting in days...well, weeks, by now, I guess?

Maybe you should prod them? Nah, they might have really good reasons for not being around.

Maybe you should look for replacements? Nah, that seems like work.

Maybe if you just ignore the problem it’ll get better on its own.

You are
When the Mod Doesn’t Replace Lurkers
, a
Limited Vote Mover
aligned with the
Town
.

Limited Vote Move (Day):
When the mod publicly prods a player, you may privately PM the mod to move that player’s vote at any point up until when they post or are replaced. This will fail if it would bring the person being voted to L-1 or higher.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: Cephrir - When the Mod Messes Up the Vote Count, a Miller Vote Swapper
You got into modding of mafia games because you like communication. And talking to people. And figuring things out.

You know why you didn’t get into modding mafia games? Keeping track of useless details. Who cares if it was Alice or Bob that was voting Charlie? Does it, in the grand scheme of things, matter? I mean, it’s still the same number of votes, right? So you swapped a few names around. Big deal! These are mistakes anyone can make!

You are
When the Mod Messes Up the Vote Count
, a
Miller Vote Swapper
aligned with the
Town
.

Miller (P):
Any "X"/"Not X"-style investigation that targets you will return the worse result, if possible.

Vote Swapper (A):
Each Night, you may choose two other players. You may not choose the same player two Nights in a row. If successful and both players are alive the next Day, each player you chose will control the other’s vote for that Day.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: copper223 - When the Mod Ties Alignment to Flavor, a Conditional Cop
You’ve got your setup idea, you’ve got the roles you want...all you’ve got to do is figure out who gets what flavor.

Hey, here’s an idea! Take all the bad guys in the flavor...and make them the bad guys in the game! What could be simpler? Phew, that was a lot of work you just avoided right there.

Yep, all of your PRs get your significant character flavor, and all your scum get bad guy flavors, and absolutely positively nothing could go wrong from this point forward!

You are
When the Mod Ties Alignment to Flavor
, a
Conditional Cop
aligned with the
Town
.

Conditional Cop (A):
Each Night, you may choose another player and give a flavor name (eg, your flavor name is "When the Mod Ties Alignment to Flavor"). If your target actually has that flavor name, you will receive back "Guilty" or "Not Guilty." There may be abilities that alter this result. If they do not have that flavor name, or you are roleblocked, you will receive "Ability failed."

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: Iecerint - When the Mod Gives Results to the Wrong Player, an Amnesiac Tracker
Processing Night actions...like a boss.

Not forgetting Night actions...like a boss.

Alice is tracking Bob….like a boss.

Better send that track result….to Bob, right? Must’ve been to Bob, right? ‘Cause you’re a boss.

You are
When the Mod Gives Results to the Wrong Player
, an
Amnesiac Tracker
aligned with the
Town
.

Amnesiac Tracker (A):
Each Night, you may choose two players. You will track the first player; however, you will not receive the results. Instead, the report will be given to the second player by the mod. There may be abilities that alter this result. If you are roleblocked, the second player will receive nothing at all. You may not choose the same player to receive reports two Nights in a row.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: Katsuki - When the Mod Forgets to Lock the Thread, a 1-shot Miller Thread Unlocker
There’s been a lynch, you double checked the vote count, you double checked that you were flipping the right person, you double checked that you gave a countdown to when Night was going to end..,.so why are there so many posts in the thread about a mistake you made?

Aw, darn it.

You are
When the Mod Forgets to Lock the Thread
, a
1-shot Miller Thread Unlocker
aligned with the
Town
.

Miller (P):
Any "X"/"Not X"-style investigation that targets you will return the worse result, if possible.

Thread Unlock (Day, 1-shot):
Once per game, during the Day, you may use this action. If you are still alive that Night, the game thread will remain unlocked during the Night instead of being locked as normal. This cannot be used after the hammer vote on the lynch.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: Lady Lambdadelta - When the Mod Sends the Wrong Role PM, an Odd-Night Rolecop
So you’ve got your twenty person game, right, see, and you’re sending out your scum role PMs, see, but you’re thinking about Alice, see, because you’re talking to her a lot on scumchat, see, and well, see, the thing is, see, that you’ve got four scum in your game, see, but you just sent five scum role PMs, see, and now Alice is wondering why she got Bob’s role PM, see...

You are
When the Mod Sends the Wrong Role PM
, an
Odd-Night Rolecop
aligned with the
Mafia
.

Mafia Knowledge (FP):
You are a member of the Mafia, which consists of shos, the Night-skipping Vengeful, TierShift the Framer, and Lady Lambdadelta the Odd-Night Rolecop.

Mafia Communication (FP):
You may speak with the Mafia at any point while you are alive during the game here.

Mafia Night-kill (FA):
Each Night, one member of the Mafia may choose to kill a non-Mafia player. Remember, you can perform only one (A) or (FA) action per Night.

Mafia Roleblock (FA, 1-shot):
This shot is shared amongst all Mafia. Once during the game, you may roleblock another player. Any actions they take this Night, aside from roleblocks, will fail.

Odd-Night Rolecop (A):
Each odd-numbered Night (N1, N3, etc), you may choose another player. You will receive a copy of that player’s role PM, with any Private Topics redacted.

Fakeclaim (P):
At any point, you may provide the mod mechanical details (role, role name, etc), and the mod will provide a fakeclaim incorporating those elements with the correct flavor and stylings. One is provided for you:
So you’ve got your twenty person game, right, see, and you’re sending out your scum role PMs, see, but you’re thinking about Alice, see, because you’re talking to her a lot on scumchat, see, and well, see, the thing is, see, that you’ve got four scum in your game, see, but you just sent five scum role PMs, see, and now Alice is wondering why she got Bob’s role PM, see…

You are
When the Mod Sends the Wrong Role PM
, an
Odd-Night Rolecop
aligned with the
Town
.

Odd-Night Rolecop (A):
Each odd-numbered Night (N1, N3, etc), you may choose another player. You will learn that player’s role name (eg, if used on you this would return "Odd-Night Rolecop").

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

You win with the
Mafia
: You win when all living players win with the Mafia, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: notscience - When the Mod Posts the Flip Too Early, a Conditional Hated Doublevoter
We’ve all been there. It’s late, you’re in a hurry, maybe you’ve got a test you need to get to or a meeting or whatnot. You glance at the thread, see that someone’s been lynched, and you’re all, "Here you guys go, this is what they were."

And then some smart aleck is all, "But they were only at L-1!" and you’re all "Oops."

You are
When the Mod Posts the Flip Too Early
, a
Conditional Hated Doublevoter
aligned with the
Town
.

Conditional Hated (P):
While there are more players than (# of Mafia alive * 2 + 1) remaining, it takes one less vote than normal to lynch you.

Conditional Doublevoter (P):
While there are more players than (# of Mafia alive * 2 + 1) remaining and you are at L-2, your vote counts double.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: Rhinox - When the Mod Plays Favorites, a Loud Doctor
You’ve got your setup, with your great new kick-ass role that’s going to be awesome and win you a scummie for making it and wha….? They’re going to nightkill your new role N1! No! That sucks! That sucks so hard!

What are you going to do? This is terrible! An outrage!

But...what if the kill were to fail? For...reasons? Yeah. That’s it. Ok, deep breath, it’s all going to be ok.

You are
When the Mod Plays Favorites
, a
Loud Doctor
aligned with the
Town
.

Loud Doctor (Day, A):
Each Day, you may choose another player. You may not choose the same player two Days in a row. If that player is still alive come Night, you will automatically protect that player (you may still be roleblocked, etc as normal). However, the Mafia will be made aware that your target is being protected at the beginning of the Night.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: shos - When the Mod Changes the Rules During the Game, a Night-Skipping Vengeful
Nice setup you’ve got there. Seems really great on paper! Nice, tight, elegant….oh, no, wait. If the kazooer kazoos the kangaroo while the picnic basket no actions on Night 3 with the dogwalker still alive, then the game is broken wide open and ten people get confirmed as town.

Hmmmm. That’s a pickle.

Well, let’s just skip Night 3 if that were to happen. Problem solved!

Night-skipping Vengeful (P):
If you are lynched, you have up to 24 hours to choose another player (the main thread will be locked; the Mafia thread will not be locked but you cannot post in it during this time). That player will die. The Night after your lynch will be skipped, and a new Day will begin immediately after your and your victim’s flip.

Fakeclaim (P):
At any point, you may provide the mod mechanical details (role, role name, etc), and the mod will provide a fakeclaim incorporating those elements with the correct flavor and stylings. One is provided for you:

Spoiler: T-Bone - When the Mod Forgets a Night Action, a Roleblocker
You try, you really do, to keep all of the Night actions in a nice, shiny spreadsheet. But sometimes, I mean, just every once in awhile, you receive a PM from a player about something they want to do, but you’re busy, see, so you don’t write it in the spreadsheet right away, but you make a mental note to do it later.

Later just never really happens.

You are
When the Mod Forgets a Night Action
, a
Roleblocker
aligned with the
Town
.

Roleblock (A):
Each Night, you may choose another player. Any actions they take this Night, aside from roleblocks, will fail.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: TierShift - When the Mod Messes Up Investigations, a Framer
So you’ve got twenty people in a game, and you think someone’s investigating Alice when they really are investigating Bob.

Who hasn’t made that mistake?

Or you forget that Charlie really did visit David, and you told the tracker that he visited no one.

Oops. But, come on, that’s easy to do, right?

I mean, anyone can understand that. No one’s perfect.

You are
When the Mod Messes Up Investigations
, a
Framer
aligned with the
Mafia
.

Mafia Knowledge (FP):
You are a member of the Mafia, which consists of shos, the Night-skipping Vengeful, TierShift the Framer, and Lady Lambdadelta the Odd-Night Rolecop.

Frame (A):
Each Night, you may choose another player. For this Night, that player will investigate to Cops as if they were Mafia.

Fakeclaim (P):
At any point, you may provide the mod mechanical details (role, role name, etc), and the mod will provide a fakeclaim incorporating those elements with the correct flavor and stylings. One is provided for you:
Cop. Tells you if someone is town or not. Pffft. Simple.

Doctor. Stops a kill. Pshaw. Child’s play.

Jack of All Trades. Four skills? Getting warmer!

A role that’s super hideously complex that it’s function depends on the phase of the moon and the price of the Euro against the yen? Now you’re talking!

You are
When the Mod Just Has to Make Things Complicated For No Reason
, a
DNA Cop
aligned with the
Town
.

DNA Cop (A):
Each Night, you may choose another player. You may also choose players who have died. If the player you chose was alive or was lynched, you will now have their DNA. If the player you chose was dead, or was killed this same Night, you will now have both their DNA and their killer’s DNA. You will automatically be informed of any DNA matches you come across.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

You win with the
Mafia
: You win when all living players win with the Mafia, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: Who - When the Mod Just Has to Comment, a Messenger
OMG

Did you see that player’s post?! It was hilarious! You know what would be more hilarious? If you responded with some youtube video / joke you’ve heard / joke you just made up / dry witticism / cutting bon mot!

The players would love your input into the goings-on of the game!

You are
When the Mod Just Has to Comment
, a
Messenger
aligned with the
Town
.

Messenger (Day):
Once each Day, you may choose another player and give the mod a message of up to 1,000 characters (just text; any formatting will be removed). If successful, the mod will anonymously deliver that message to your target. The message will be within area tags and noted as not being from the mod.

You win with the
Town
: You win when all living players win with the Town, and at least one player is alive.

Spoiler: xRECKONERx - When the Mod Keeps Score, a Points Awarder
Haha, that post was really funny! Points to Alice.

Eh, does this post even make sense to anyone? Points deducted from Bob.

Ooooooh, Charlie called of the scum in his post! Super triple bonus points!

Oh, time for a vote count. Let’s tell everyone how many points they have...

You are
When the Mod Keeps Score
, a
Points Awarder
aligned with the
Town
.

Points Awarder (Day):
At any time during the Day, you may give the mod a list of players and a change in score for each player (eg, "Alice: 10 points, Bob: -5 points, Charlie: 1 point," etc). The mod will post this as part of the next vote count. The points and score mean nothing mechanically.

You win with the

Grey's claimed target the previous day also didn't make sense, which normally wouldn't mean much, but he had used his ability in a way that showed his awareness of how he should use it the previous night.

It was really great that you Rhinox died N2, given that you guys blocked me the same night.

It would've been really awkward if Rhinox didn't get my track result.
