Where have you seen such arguments before? On this site, or elsewhere?[/quote]In post 38, TheRainKing wrote:From what I've seen, "whether I'm scum or not" arguments usually come from scum.
This is my first game on the site, I've just played lots of other mafia style games through the years, and I and other mafia have used it a lot. I guess because as a mafia you want to "think like a townie"? But townies, when accused, would usually just go for defending themselves as a townie, because they are.
Also, Blurry talks about how we need to take action fast, and then claims it's bad when he's targeted. That's fairly sus to me.-

Sorry for the inactivity. Classes just started up: I'll try to be a bit more active from here on out.
I was rather intimidated by PvT initially coming in and making a ton of accusations (especially against me), but I think he just misjudged my newness.
Blurry's longpost had a lot of good reasoning that goes a lot beyond Egix's psychoanalysis of just a few posts.
Echo hasn't seemed to really been using much actual evidence or even a defense, rather just being a smartass.
I agree with earthtraveller that Egix sounds sketchy, mainly b/c of him going inactive after being so vocal early. Especially since he reiterated the definitions to me, it seems like he's trying to garner trust w/ no substance.
Anoher thing I'm not sure how to interpret is that he voted against Echo. However, since he didn't actually submit a vote, I'd say he's definitely not out of the woods yet.
About T-Bone, he has been silent for the past few exchanges, with just token interaction. His early votes were VERY aggresive, especially seeing as I had just gotten off L1
For reads overall I'd say
Most Scummy || Echo, T-Bone, Egix, Nikk || Least Scummy
Everyone else is probably fine. I especially trust earth, he's been seeming to really work calmly and logically to further the town.-

I unvoted because it seemed like putting someone at L-1 would be harmful to the town, since discussion could easily be cut off by someone not paying attention or being overzealous. In post 92, T-Bone wrote:
No, no, let's back up. I made a deliberate choice to put BlurryX to L-1. We have the benefit here of the fact that in response to that, you took your vote away. Why? I really liked that you pointed out that arguments like 'if I were scum' are kinda useless...but there was no flow from there to unvoting in your next post. Why did you remove your vote? Did you even need to do it? One player showed he wasn't going to hammer. That puts an additional perspective to consider. Who would have hammered had you not removed your vote?In post 88, TheRainKing wrote:Looking back on this post, I'm probably a bit too quick to condemn T-Bone. He was aggressive, but some of the other people have been as well. He did make moves that would result in more information, even if they were dangerous. Still not sure either way, but that's just some of my thoughts.
However, your vote still being on Blurry is a little odd. Have you just not taken it off yet or do you believe him to be scum?-

@pvt, I still think EarthTraveller is Town, simply because he seems to be legitimately working through the information and trying to gain more, something that would benefit town more.
I asked for clarification on what you meant since I interpreted it as him as saying it as a theoretical.
I think that jumping on T-Bone for something that shaky so early was definitely something I would do if I were scum, especially considering you led the charge on an innocent yesterday. The immediate backing you received from Salami didn't help either. Also, considering you accused on false premises, it's unlikely you're a role that read him last night.
I thought T-Bone was fairly scummy. I still don't agree with his early L-1, but I think it was an error rather than scum, as the payoff would be very little as opposed to the consequence as strongly incriminating him. Everyone will probably think I'm scum for supporting him, but PvT has been throwing accusations with rather shoddy support for them, and I wish we'd stop taking his word as gospel. A lot of his posts are
"quote"
no this wrong
rather than solid reasoning.-

This is literally exactly what I'm talking about. If you're town, then please try to substantiate your claims more.

Half 1, I'm not sold on salami, he could be a (i believe) misled town, but it seemed like scum supporting a fast, poorly supported accusation. I think I was too quick to condemn him, and was influenced by Egix's read, that I haven't fully thought out yet.In post 179, PvtUrist wrote:
Explain this and why it's apparently bad for town?In post 171, TheRainKing wrote: The immediate backing you received from Salami didn't help either.
So you initially scum-read T-Bone for #32, but think it's error!town because payoff very little something? The only ones I'm accusing are you and T-Bone. When you flip scum, it doesn't matter how shoddy or sturdy my "support" was.In post 171, TheRainKing wrote: I thought T-Bone was fairly scummy. Half 2, I changed my mind on that because it was a very slight lean since we had little-no information, and since I trust you far less now, it makes him seem more trustworthy.
I don't understand what you mean when you say "when you flip scum". The only dead people are town, and you spearheaded the lynching. Unless you're saying that T-Bone is scum, which is, as usual, supported by "but im right tho".
Also, ooc, I need to take a break, since I have hw to do, and there's too many posts. I'll be back this evening or tomorrow.-
