Welcome to newbie 1032!

This game uses the F11 setup. Possible roles are Mafioso, Roleblocker, Townie, Doctor, Cop. There are 4 possible setups:
Mafia: 1 Mafioso and 1 Roleblocker, Town: 1 Doctor, 1 Cop, 5 Townies
Mafia: 1 Mafioso and 1 Roleblocker, Town: 7 Townies
Mafia: 2 Mafiosos, Town: 1 Cop, 6 Townies
Mafia: 2 Mafiosos, Town: 1 Doctor, 6 Townies

The exact setup in this instance was randomly determined. Roles were randomly assigned.

Mafia-Aligned players:

Mafia Goon

You are a mafia goon. Your partner is x, a mafia (goon/roleblocker). Since your plot to quietly overtake the town has failed, you will attempt take it by force by eliminating the others until you outnumber the populace.

* During the day, try to blend in with the normal Townies, and attempt to get someone lynched.
* During the NIGHT cycle ONLY, you may talk with your fellow Mafia (via this QuickTopic) and choose another player in the town to kill that night. One of you must send me a PM with your choice of who to kill.
* You may communicate privately via QuickTopic with your fellow Mafia up until the game thread is opened (this is called Night 0). Once the game begins, all outside communication must cease until the night cycle.
* You win when the number of Mafia equals or exceeds the number of remaining Town players, whether you survive to the end or not.

Mafia Roleblocker

You are a Mafia Roleblocker. Your partner is x, a mafia goon. Since your plot to quietly overtake the town has failed, you will attempt take it by force by eliminating the others until you outnumber the populace.

* The Mafia may communicate privately via QuickTopic up until the game thread is opened (this is called Night 0). Once the game begins, all outside communication must cease until the night cycle.
* You win when the number of Mafia equals or exceeds the number of remaining Town players, whether you survive to the end or not.
* If the roleblocker is the only mafia left, they will be able to block and kill.

Town-Aligned players:

Townie:

You are a normal townsperson, trying to make a living and survive this insanity.

* You have no abilities at Night other than getting a good night's rest.
* Although you do not have any special abilities, your voice and vote are powerful weapons in their own right. Use them to your best advantage!
* At no time may you privately communicate with any other player.
* You win when all the Mafia players are gone, whether you survive to the end or not.

Cop:

You are the local law enforcement, and can tell the good guys from the bad.

* Each NIGHT, you may send the moderator a PM with your choice of player that you want to investigate.
* The Moderator will inform you as to that person's guilt or innocence.
* At no time may you privately communicate with any other player.
* In a Newbie game, you will always get a correct result (no sanity issues).
* You win when all the Mafia players are gone, whether you survive to the end or not.

Doctor:

You are the local physician, and can protect people from harm.

• Each NIGHT, you may send the moderator a PM with your choice of player that you want to protect.
  
• If someone attempts to kill that player during the Night, they will be spared.
  
• You may not protect yourself.
  
• At no time may you privately communicate with any other player.
  
• In a Newbie game, your protection target will always live through the night (no quacks).
  
• You win when all the Mafia players are gone, whether you survive to the end or not.

RULES

General:

1. Each Day will have a deadline of 3 weeks, I may extend the deadline in special circumstances. Nights will last 72 hours.
2. Mafia may not communicate during the day.
3. Do not quote any private mod/player communications. There is to be no communication outside this thread unless your PM states otherwise.
4. Dont use invisible/encrypted text, or any other method to hide messages.

6. I reserve the right to change/add a rule. In the event that happens, i will inform you in game.
7. If i make a mistake, feel free to point it out... but please keep bigger grievances/problems in PM. I will do my best to ensure i dont make a game influencing mistake... however, it will stand if it happens.
8. Bold all requests to the mod so i dont miss them.
9. I will try to make frequent votecounts, however, you may request one if you feel it is needed.

Activity:

1. If you do not post within 72 hrs, you will receive a prod. Failure to respond to the prod within 48 hrs will result in an automatic replacement. Three prods will result in an automatic replacement.
2. Players may request a prod on another player in the following format: Mod: Please prod <playername>. This is only to be done if a player has gone without posting for 72 hours, and I have missed prodding them.

Voting:

1. You must Unvote before voting. Bold your votes/unvotes as such:

3. If a majority (1/2 living + 1) isn't reached before deadline, a no-lynch will occur.
4. Unvotes are not necessary before voting.

1. Votes and unvotes will not be counted after the required majority of voted has been reached.
2. The person lynched may still talk during Twilight.

Thanks for a good game everyone, especially through all of the replacements and holidays. Feel free to leave feedback about my modding, if you wish.

Mafia team, usually the mafia will post a link to their quicktopic thread so that the other players can read it. If neither of you have an objection, you may post a link to it... i will leave it up to you.

I will say that there was a small issue at the start of the game in which the mafia team was talking in the quicktopic during the day. I wasn't monitoring that chat after the game started, so i didnt catch it until one of the members asked if it was ok. As the game had just started, and the discussion in the quicktopic wasn't explosive, i decided to just shut it down and let the game continue without any repurcusions.

Again, great game everyone... i hope everyone enjoyed it.

I'll add that the last day was actually a good 'learning by mistake' experience for both factions.

For the town, you should NEVER place a vote at 5 way LYLO on your own... ESPECIALLY at the start of the day. The town should reach a consensus through discussion, before votes are actually placed... this prevents a scum quickhammer situation. Same kinda goes for 3 way LYLO.

For the mafia, you always have to be prepared to quickhammer during LYLO if someone votes a townie. It's best to have a plan worked out the previous night... perhaps you will watch for the other to be online at a certain time, or maybe you can come up with a code in your post to let the other know for how long you will be logged in and watching for them to post/log-in/vote. You do have to be quick about it, because as we saw with maxous here, you will get a LOT of unwanted attention for that 2nd vote if your partner doesn't hammer ASAP.

It was interesting that Az got lucky because the scumteam didn't quickhammer... but then the scumteam got lucky because the town decided to stay with a quadz lynch. That was definitely the longest i have ever seen a LYLO go on, with a vote on a townie in place.
