I don't know if the votes on bertrand are actually serious at the moment
Unless being silly is scummy.. if it IS then I will be in trouble in EVERY single game I ever playTripMyWire wrote:Unvote: Talitha, Vote: bertrandfor being silly.

Sorry BigAl you didnt re quote yourself, you quoted what bertrand SAID about your post.. maybe not harping, but certainly emphasising (spelling?)
Tired Stark brains rarely make sense to the outside world so I apologise for the confusion.bigAl wrote:
It's this the same reasoning?bertrand wrote:By your own logic, so was that statement. Vote stays.
Is it to soon to be wondering where Creed has gotten to? With 2 days since his last post?
If I am quiet for a couple of days I apologise in advance, my sons have been unwell recently, they may well be off school till monday and it isn't easy to get time to go online when I have them both home full time. I may post, but it will be when I am grabbing a 5 minute ciggy and cup of tea break to try to re-gain a small amount of sanity.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

ok so from Creed we have
1) lurking (i think he was 4 days between posts, though I could have miscounted)
2) bandwagoning (a third vote on someone without a good reason)
and 3) a poor excuse for a vote on someone (scary avatars? would you retract the vote if the avatar changed??)
anyone else getting a bad vibe from Creed??
Vote : CreedAlways forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

The only thoughts I have on that Amelia are that
1) Creed is bored and wants to get out of the game
2) Feels that it is inevitable that people will vote for him
or 3) Thinks that by saying 'Go on Vote for me' he is going to stop people from voting for him and save himself from being lynched.
This is only my first game and I am aware of how dangerous a third vote can be, so I don't want to say Creed made a newish mistake. Yet that seems to be the only explaination for what he has done, wether it was the mistake of a newb townie or a newb scum I wouldn't like to say.
What I will say is that Creed and BigAl are the only two to have made me wonder at all.
Going to stay with my current vote on Creed however.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

Did a read up myself tonight, started writing down my thoughts then looked at the clock and it's 1.12am, so put down the pen and paper and am dragging myself off to bed.... I may not managed to finish it tomorrow (2 kiddies + sunday + food shop = nightmare) But the kids are in school all day monday so i should be ok to devote some time then.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

*Blush* soz guys n gals I got invaded last week and didnt even check my email for 5 days.
I read through again and really can't pick anything new up.. or at least everything i did pick up looked like grasping at straws on a second glance. About the only things I noticed were Bertrands revote on me which is probably just a simple mistake and Creeds vote for BigAl's avatar, which i have already said about. All in all colour me stumped..Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

Sorry about my prolonged lack of posting, hit a couple of bad weeks including the kids half term break. Then when I DID managed to get back breifly I couldn't post cos it was night . Seeing as it now midnight plus some here I am going to just say 'Hi' and go to bed. But should be able to post properly soon (I DO have stuff on till friday but I will try to scramble an hour or so between now and then.)
Sorry about the complete lack of game related content, but I havent as yet sat down for a proper read.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

OK I have re-read, caught up and confused myself.
None of this really strings together well. I have gone through and picked out the handful of posts I was wondering about and (crossed fingers that I dont mess them up) posted them here.
First up is BigAl's delightful
I read it as a joke, and quoted here more for amusment value really.bigAl wrote:Everythingis scummy.
Amelia, would you care to share your suspicions with us, I am really struggling to get much of a read on this thread.Ameliaslay wrote:
If that's the case, I'll act on my suspicions tomorrow.Bertrand wrote:I'm the cop
Just out of interest, Talitha, what does it take to confirm a cop?
Talitha wrote:unvote: bertrand
I'm prepared to take him at his word for now, but by no means consider him cleared.
<text deleted by me>.
OK I am new to this, but does anyone have thoughts on placing a lynching vote just to end the day? With seemingly no other reasoning behind the vote.
Ameliaslay wrote:I'm tired of sitting here twiddling my thumbs in this game...vote: Creed
I know this can easily be genuine, and probably is, but again, wouldnt this be an easy way to fake a claim as cop?
bertrand wrote:Well, I investigated Thok and guess what! He's TOWN.
Feh.
I was 100% sure I was dead meat though.
On another note, during my reading I saw these and thought it would be worth addressing them.
In response to Thok, (and yes I know he is dead and may not read this) This is my first ever game on this or any other site, And i have never played the game IRL or anything. However, I READ, and lots, must have read 20+ games on this site by now, everything from newbie to the big theme games.Thok wrote:Random thought: Starkmoon seems to know a lot about basic mafia strategy for somebody playing her first game (compare her posts to CreedP's, for example). Could you give us a feel for what your mafia background is, starkmoon?
bertrand wrote:I'm pretty sure I've seen stark play somewhere, even here I thought. I know I've seen that somewhere, possibly on MDV or Salvation.
http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/profile. ... ile&u=1373 you may be thinking about this Stark Bertrand, I actually got a PM from him the day I joined because of my name.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

OK I hate real life... it's official.
Have had a quick look over the thread and all I can see that is new is BigAl and Bertrand pointing fingers at each other..
I am somewhat suspicious of bertrands claim, partly because he was not night killed, partly because the person he 'investigated' dies in the night.
BigAl has posted some suspect things, as quoted by bertrand.
Both of these look like clutching at straws though.
As to the real life stuff.. I am having children problems at the moment, i will try to get on as much as possible, but can't guarantee how much.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

The reason for this? I would prefer to not post at all than to post a one liner to make it look like I am active. If I cannot make a decent post then I don't at all.
It has been said that as I am not dead yet either myself or amelia are likely to be scum, however, use the handy little thing at the bottom that lets you select all posts by a user in this thread and have a look at the actual content of amelia's posts. Her longest post excluding quotes is 3.5 lines.
I will admit that I could have been a lot more active in this game, but please don't lynch me for not posting as often as you would like, my time online is limited, I don't often get the chance to do more than scan the thread. Yes I have posted when I have been addressed directly, but because of time constraints I have been unable to post as full a reply as I would like.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

OK, Firstly I am not going to vote, even though I am suspicious of two people right now I dont have time to compile a long post, I have 40 minutes to check my email and get the kids ready for a day out at the farm. Will be back later on, and will try to post when the kids are vegetating in front of the TV.Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.-

I would have probably replied the same way as scum or as town about the experience thing. This was literally the first game I ever played of mafia. I do wonder if previous RPG experience helped, or if its just through having read some past games before playing one. Was it just the apparent difference in claimed experience over posting style that got you suspicious Thok, or was there something else?
Also I got really annoyed with myself and the real life crap I was having while the game was on. I wanted to post a lot more, but every time I tried to sit down to post I got interrupted or something happened. So I ended up being suspicious for lurking too.
I think it really helped that we did nightkill Thok, oh and Al, could you tell me your reasons for thinking Thok was going to get investigated again please, I cant remember..Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.
