General

1. I am the Mod and what I say goes. I reserve the right to change the rules or modkill/force-replace players as I see fit. If this happens, all players will be made aware of this fact. However I am likely going to be too busy hacking into a secured government facility to be bothered.
   
2. That being said, I am perfect. But somehow I still make mistakes, if you see one, let me know. If you have questions, comments or whatever feel free to PM me.
   
3. Preface all in-thread messages to the mod with

4. Punishment for breaking any of the following rules is on a case-by-case basis and is therefore not fixed.
   
5. This is a game. Play to win, and have fun, because what’s the point if it’s not fun? Or don't, you guys might hack all the fun out of the game.

Posting and Voting

1. I hereby reserve the color
   #00BFFF
   for mod use. Don't use it.
   
2. Do not use invisible, encrypted, or ridiculously small text. Everything posted in the game thread should be public.
   
3. All votes must be written in
   bold
   or use the VOTE: Player tag. Unvotes are helpful, but not necessary.
   
4. Votes may
   not
   be contained inside quote, code, area, or spoiler tags.
   
5. A lynch is reached when day ends and a majority of all players, half players alive plus one, are voting for the same person.

Activity and Deadlines

1. This games has day phases last five real life days and 1 real life day.
   
2. Either Day Phase can be cut short if Majority is reached for vote.
   
3. This is a Blitz so prodding is short and you are expected to post every day.
   
4. Failure to post once every 24 hours, will result in a prod.
   
5. If you fail to respond to your prod in 12 hours, you will be replaced.
   
6. If you get three prods you will automatically be replaced. Though I would be shocked if it came to this.
   
7. If your role gives you access to a Private Topic, you may request that a partner be poked. This will not count as an official prod.
   
8. If you are going V/LA please notify me in advance
   
9. A replacement may request that phase be extended up to twenty four hours upon replacing in.
   
10. If you are going to be V/LA for more than 3 days, I will have to auto replace you.

Game Setup

Basics:

1. This is a Blitz game. As such it runs on a speed of 5 days for a game day and 1 day for nights.
   
2. Scum will have day chat.
   
3. Roles are closed beyond the "VT" role pm, which at least one is guaranteed to be in game.

Special Mechanics:
This game has 4 special mechanics in play that are not normal.
Last Will, Message system, Phone, and Items.

Spoiler: Last Will (Hard Drive)

This is a final post by players written before their death and published to all upon flip.
Players are allowed to post whatever they want as long as it doesn't break site or game rules.
This must be given to mod before your death for it to be published on your flip.

Spoiler: Text Message (Messaging)

1. Players are able to message players inside the game during the day or night.
   
2. To send a message to a player you must message the mod with the message and intended designation.
   
3. If someone sends a message to a player. It will be announced who sent who a message publically in game thread but not the contents of the message.

Phones are a mechanic that everyone has access too.
Every player will get some form of this to their role pm:

Phone

One of the most basic utility that everyone has access to. Your phone is your life these days and gives you access to various abilities, though some of these abilities will be limited.

Abilities:

1. Hack: You can attempt to hack a player and steal their possessions. For this you pick a number in their security. If theirs an item in that slot, you will take it. You can use this ability once.
   
2. Profiler: This allows you to see how many item(s) a player has. You can use this ability once.
   
3. Security: This gives you access to three secure slots. If you have an item or items you put them in one of these and hope a hacker will not try to steal them from you.

Spoiler: Items and Hacking

Information regarding Items:

1. Items are given out at certain intervals in the game and must be put in security slot of your phone when received.
   
2. If you do not put it in a security slot within 24 hours of acquiring it will be randomized and you will be informed where it is.
   
3. When a item is first received it cannot be used, you must wait 1 phase before using it. This is including if you stole an item.
   
4. For example hacking an item day 1 that item cannot be used till night 1.
   
5. Some items maybe only day or night uses.
   
6. As far as order of operations goes. Items are generally considered as taking place last in the order of operations although there might be some exceptions.
   
7. The items were not created for balance sake, they were created to increase discussion and strategy. Be warned before using them as means for setup speculation.

Rules on Hacking:

1. Players can hack at any point in the game as long as they have the ability available to use.
   
2. Players who are successfully hacked are told their item(s) have been stolen.
   
3. Some players might be immune to hacking.

Good morning Vietnam.

Not sure other player's experience with Blitz here. I've got a lot of experience in Blitz games from my home site though I will say this game has slightly longer day phases than the ones I'm used to from there. Still though I think this advice applies; really

focus on forming scumreads and cementing wagons sooner rather than later

. Last minute panic for lynches is how gruesome mistakes are made. I remember one game I played (I was mafia thankfully) where town lynched the cop day 1 and the doctor day 2 because it got to the last minute and people were panicking and the PR's hadn't claimed previously since they weren't in any significant danger leading up to that point.
