Explain to me how 116 was a townslip.

(Also I was hoping to solve the game in 5 days but I didn't realize Johnny was in V/LA til today sooooo)

To clarify, I want the newbies to make some decisions and not just take over the game. Again, I should not have made the above statement as it comes off as a little elitist/rude/too obv town to the other mafia veterans.

To be fair I’ve sorted everyone except for Johnny so far so I’ve done as much as I could.
The next potential scenario is that either Johnny comes off town af and I lock my reads as is, or Johnny is a little scumbutt and I try to discern who’s more town between you and Clasko.

Like yeah I only need solid (and correct) 5 universal townreads to win the game so I could be lazy and call for lunch on all three. But I have too much time for that.

I really wouldn't make state statement in a newbie game tho.

At that point it's WIFOM. Regardless of that though, if there exists a scum motivation to make that post and with good reason, it's not a townslip. So I suggest you get off that crutch if you want to be townread.

Anyway since we both know that you don't actually scumread me, tell me why you voted for Clasko for the second time. I know my reason, but I don't know yours.

It's a bit of a hot take, but T3, maybe? Most of my conviction comes off of 198 which feels like an attempted setup for the d2 elimination more than anything else. Also, the strong TR read on Vaxkiller of all things. The only arguments he's given is "116 feels naturally towny" and it's not even a good one at that.

Honestly, I don't think it's too hot of a take after these past few pages. He looks about as paired up with Vax as GIF does with Rock, based on their reads. Though, T3 does have a very distinct meta; my only other completed game also had T3 in it and he got caught through meta on page 1. GIF's statement that T3 is an oddball adds up with what I know. He makes bizarre plays as scum and distances himself hard from a scum buddy, and tends to sacrifice himself Day 1 too.

If he's scum, he's playing against his meta since I haven't seen any weird distancing strats. Which I think would be even more noticeable tbh since it's intertwined with his town meta. That's the biggest reason I have him as a town lean. I've been looking for his tells since page 1 lol.

Since you haven't voted yet, what's your opinion on the current game state? Between Vax, GIF, and Rock, who's coming off most town to you?

Also, Sang, has your read on Rock changed over the past few days?

could still see rock!scum but can also see rock!town. maintain that if rock!scum then GIF is a likely partner, but if not then GIF occasionally has decent reads but more than that vax's attempts to spin 116 as being a townslip or as being strongly +town hits me as wrong, as does the assertion that he's obvtown from a page ago

and it doesn't feel like town that's utterly indignant about being read wrong
