In the word Psyche it functions as a vowel, not a consonant. Although interestingly it becomes a consonant in "ye"

i like paragone, i like the blank banner idea but don't know i love it somewhat devaluing current winners.

I also like the idea of a vaguely scummy-like banner gif turning "off" into a point like an old-style tv:

I think titles should have a broad but not necessarily site-wide appeal at the moment they're given, but I don't think it's necessary for a title to have broad appeal to all future users. If it's just a title among 3 friends and the explanation is a "you had to be there" then sure it probably shouldn't make it out. But I don't think we need to be super stingy with titles that originate from a smaller group either as long as the title can be explained to those who weren't there in a way that makes them think "hey, that's a good one."

That said, titles that have players' names directly in them are problematic.
