i like Best Shot, but in that sense is sounds more like trying one's hardest and not necessarily succeeding.
i do like the theme of reliability/backup that both of the suggested titles have displayed. the concept is good, the wording might need work.
not that i have a better suggestion.

it fits the godlike image, sounds better than "deus ex machina" for a few reasons, is a nod to his program (and yes i would call that a big part of his presence, as he is still a programmer in other contexts besides his meta program, and it's referenced enough to be title-worthy all on its own regardless of how much he actually turns to it), and it fits his persona.

Psyche gets me. the english is nice because the word god has power. but deus ex machina is fine as a title if that's what the majority wants.
i don't think there needs to be a pun when the phrase itself fits Elli so well. and when i read that last paragraph without reading the entire post, i actually expected a joke.
