there's a difference between good shitposting and bad shitposting and the difference is the amount of ambient shitposting; I call this Von's Law.

The quality of a shitpost is inversely proportional to the quantity of nearby shitposts; A single shitpost in a serious thread is hilarious, but a multitude of shitposts lost within a sea of shitty threads are obsolete. The same principle also applies to an individual's posting history; if someone shitposts often, their shitposts lose their value, because their 'Von Coefficient' is spread too thinly over their many shitposts. However, if a normally serious poster makes a shitpost, their Coefficient is concentrated in that one post, multiplying its effectiveness. Therefore, a the recipie for the perfect shitpost is a single shitpost in a discussion with few surrounding shitposts, contributed by a normally serious (or at least infrequently-posting) user.
