ok we are in the discussion window phase now for both the banner and the title
paragone has so much support (somewhere around 11 vs 2) that i feel it outweighs the opposition atm, though i am also weighing the concern that this nom is too soon
the banner also has a lot of support (not as much), and much of the opposition to it is tied to its permanence - it could easily be a temporary addendum to a permanent title - i'm officially enabling that possibility
so over the next 72, hopefully the community can hash these points out and further think through its stances

Actually, other titles exist which are just images.
He would indeed be the only user with a permanent BANNER, but if the issue is with IMAGES, he wouldn't be unique in that regard; there's precedence. (Albeit rare.)

I actually thought about this too and decided it would nullify the point of the blank banner and make it less apparant that it's not an actual award banner.
Also I'm against the idea of temp titles because as someone said earlier it would set a precedent that just invites more shitposting. Plus, I feel that since titles are gifted by the community to its users rather than being user-made, they should be permanent by default, otherwise it devalues the nature of giving the title as a gift.
I approve of both equally, for what it's worth....but feel the blank banner is superior because it's less obvious...and isn't recognizing people through things outsiders wouldn't easily understand the whole point of this title thing?
didn't/doesn't Kaleidoscope have a blue title? granted that's even before MY time but there's precedent for nonstandard titles (see also, and a better example for this: Hoopla)
temporary titles though... eh. fine in moderation at the title fairy's discretion, but I wouldn't make a habit out of them, personally
also, the Spiffeh title might be a bit too soon imo, but I don't really have a strong enough opinion to nth or anti, so...
