AKA, "Why Democracy is a failure of a system"
(AKA, "Proof of concept for why the title fairy's a dictatorship, not a democracy")
For the duration of this month (October 1st - October 31st), users may post in this thread with nominations of other users for a title.
There's only three basic rules: the nominations must not be insulting; the nominations cannot refer to an ongoing game; users may not self-nominate for a title.
Otherwise, all else is free game. (So, yes, the same user can be nominated for an unlimited number of different titles. Obviously they can only wear one at a time though!)
These nominated titles will not be instantly given out.
Instead, a voting process will begin.
If a title receives
ten
nths
(users may not self-nth), then, after 48 hours if that threshold remains and if the user approves of the title, the title will be handed out.HOWEVER,
anti-nominations for the title will remove two nths from the given title
.(Users may
not
"anti-nom everything". If you want to anti-nom something, you must do so manually.)Users may freely retract nths or antinoms at any given time; a retraction won't result in your vote flipping from one to the other and if you wish to go from anti-nomming to nthing or vice-versa you must specify so.
The title fairy's vote counts for double
; if I nth a title, it's two nths; if I anti-nom a title, it removes four nths from the given title.As the title fairy, I will be giving "title votecounts" throughout the month, tracking the nth number for given title suggestions: who's nthing the title and who's anti-nomming the title with the current nth count for that title, and doing this for every title nominated.
At the end of the month,
voting will close; any title which does not have the sufficient number of votes will not be given
.However, critically:
any title which was previously approved can be automatically kept permanently
.In short, for the duration of this month, title standards are incredibly lax. Get sufficient support for a title, and that title will forever be approved.
You just need to keep ten votes for the title with no anti-noms, or twelve votes for the title with one anti-nom, or fourteen with two anti-noms, and so on and so forth.
