[CONCEPT] Storms of Noraaland

A continuation of my first modded game. I was talking about this with Cakey and Aristo a while ago I think but I want to run a tsunami themed, mountainous, large theme.

I wanted tsunami mechanics to be incorporated and my idea is to make it a 20 person large theme that is again, mountainous. Maybe 18 town, 2 scum. I realize that is kind of unbalanced but the tsunami mechanics are super bad for town with the current version.

The mechanic is that it takes 3 to hammer at any given time and if the wagon flips town, everyone on the wagon dies. If the wagon flips scum, everyone stays alive but doesn't have a vote the following day.

With this mechanic, I worry that it will be too town sided if people can ask scummy players/inactives to vote certain players so I want to make a rule that players are not allowed to ask/suggest/demand that any other player vote someone else. They can argue about reads or present reads but cannot encourage others to vote certain people.

That's kinda complicated but I didn't know how else to balance this setup and I know nothing about balance anyways. help. ples.

I agree. But I felt like the wave mechanic could be taken advantage of if town had some powerful players which could potentially make the mechanic really unfair.

which only allows players that have played 2-3 games with me, minimum

which would feature alts of mine like Noraabear, Tsutsu, Aubriella, Nornor etc

The reason is WIFOM
it encourages scum to be on their buddy's wagon. The issue is that town will know that(WIFOM). Another issue is that scum are kind of at a disadvantage since town is majority. But if scum is on their buddy's wagon, they're basically guaranteed safety the following day as long as people dont wagon them.
idk its a complex system of wifom that overall, I would say, benefits scum.

I didn't think of that but you're right. when its 1v3, its just whoever dies, the opposite alignment wins.

I don't like the cancel vote choice thing because i feel like it could lead to a ton of really really long days. talk to me about the sabotaging elimination? I'm afraid i don't follow.
