[SETUP] Screw Your Teammate

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Fri Jul 15, 2016 11:23 am

Setup

Vanilla Town
Vanilla Town
Vanilla Town
Vanilla Town
Vanilla Town

Bulletproof Mafia Goon
Bulletproof Mafia Goon

Bulletproof Werewolf Goon
Bulletproof Werewolf Goon

Notes

Town has to lynch everyday.
Scum have factional kill, but it only works if they cross-kill.

Win Conditions

Town: Eliminate both scum teams.
Mafia/Werewolf: Get their teammate lynched and eliminate town.

If one scum team makes up 50% of the votes and both teammates are still alive, both will lose and the game will result in:
  • the other scum winning if only one of them is alive.
  • a town win if the other remaining players are town.
  • a draw if the other scum team is in the same position.
One single mafia goon and one single werewolf goon may win together.

P.S.: Yes, only one of the scum mates may win.

______________________________________________________________________________
The concept of having to bus your teammate is interesting as lynching scum might be a scum tell.

Can you explain what does 'cross-kill' mean?

Both scum teams (Mafia and Werewolf) should target the same person to the kill occur.

I'm having trouble. Why will someone cross-kill their own teammate? I mean, doesn't it takes unanimous vote to decided on a kill.

If a team member is being lynched, wouldn't the other out the other member?

I mean, post restriction is not the way to go. =/

Or it could be different:

Mafia/Werewolf can only win if only one of them is alive. The lynched teammate can still win.
As soon one of the members die, the scumteam will gain a factional kill.
Mafia and Werewolf can't win together.
Town wins if:
- They eliminate all scum.
- They eliminate one scum team and leaves the other entirely alive.
- Everybody dies. (such one werewolf and mafia alive)

So to conclude:

>No nightkill until one partner is lynched. It doesn't have to be cross-kill.

I want to run computer simulation to calculate the EV.

Maybe no bulletproof (or bulletproof disable if one partner is lynched)?

This setup sounds terrible. EV might be fine, but the bizarre win conditions make scumhunting a crapshoot.

I think this setup has much reliance on RNG and mechanics, and what is the point of having both scum teams as BP? In what situation would that even be brought into play? It fees like it lacks fluidity.
