2 Werewolves

3 Mafia Goons

8 Townies

  • Day start
  • Mafia have day talk; werewolves do not
  • Werewolves have a factional nightkill; mafia do not
  • During the day, the mafia submits a list of 3 players, which can change throughout the day
  • At the start of night, the list is made public in-thread; if the werewolves choose to nightkill, the target must be one from the list

Thoughts?
I think this setup might merit a test run. Thoughts?

Looks harsher on town than jungle republic with the lack of finding out wolves through seer and lack of mafia kills due to NK mechanic

Its basically town loses Seer for two VTs and control of NK shifts from free range to some semblance of a mafia choice.

If someone wants to make the wiki for it, I can get someone to run a trial of it faster.

Good theory question is what happens if there are wolves alive and no mafia. Wolves gain normal kill mechanics I would assume (as opposed to lose factional kill)

I actually think heading away from cops is a step in the right direction. Makes the setup less about 1 role, which typically dies n1 anyway knowing typical luck for these setups.

Yes, this was my thought as well.

I would treat that as if all mafia are dead, wolves can kill whomever.

Something else that crossed my mind, what if the mafia list includes the person lynched that day? Throw out the list completely and treat it as the above situation, or force the mafia to add a fourth person to the list as an alternate that is added in if one the first three is the lynch?

Why not just force it to "If the night phase begins without you having submitted a valid list of three living players the wolf faction will not be constrained in their kill choices"

hey - flavour wise I think it makes more sense for 2 mafias with a kill and 3 wolves without one.


Obviously this is irrelevant to balance. looks like a fun setup, sign me up if you run it.
