[SETUP] Clashing Colors
I've been toying around with the idea of having multiple uninformed majorities while still having a game that is recognizably Mafia, and this is what I've got. Not yet fully fleshed out, in particular I'm not sure what PRs would be appropriate.
“There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say, ‘There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say there are two kinds of people in this world, and the other kind,’ and those whodon’tsay. Well, then there’s me.” — J.R. “Bob” Dobbs- horrordude0215

I'd be pissed if I lost a game because we lynched all mafia members but more of my town was nightkilled than the other.
Would a Blue cop get a guilty or inno on a green mafia? The Clown is Town. The Clown also uses "they" pronouns. Don't be a dick about it?
I know it's weird given the username, but "horrorperson" just doesn't have the same ring to it.- Umlaut

Wait, just realized a serious problem with this: catching one (w.o.l.o.g.) blue goon means every lynch is going to be of a greeny from that point on.
Maybe better if the colors are just randomized altogether? Though that could lead to setups that are unfair for one color.“There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say, ‘There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say there are two kinds of people in this world, and the other kind,’ and those whodon’tsay. Well, then there’s me.” — J.R. “Bob” Dobbs- Umlaut

My intention was that a blue cop would get a guilty either way, but I haven't nailed down the PRs so who knows?“There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say, ‘There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say there are two kinds of people in this world, and the other kind,’ and those whodon’tsay. Well, then there’s me.” — J.R. “Bob” Dobbs- Umlaut

Another thought, could have more Mafia but make it nightless, so that nightkills won't determine the winner, just politics.
Here's a question I should know the answer to: as town, is having more scum of your color an advantage or a disadvantage (if this information isn't public)?“There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say, ‘There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say there are two kinds of people in this world, and the other kind,’ and those whodon’tsay. Well, then there’s me.” — J.R. “Bob” Dobbs- Randomnamechange

its equally advantageous because any advantages gained are immediately transferred to the other colour (assuming same number of mafia on either side)
if they are uneven then having more is a huge advantage. Mafia won't want to kill their own colour and if you lose one mafia you dont insta lose.
Also shouldn't this effectively stalemate because neither side benefits from lynching it's own side. Potentially you could have the two factions split into two lynch sections for day play. They can only lynch their own colour. Town who finds their own mafia without lynching townies wins. due to it being the same thread and night actions the scum kill and PRs can WIFOM between groups to try and unbalance the amount of people in either group.vonflare (21:40)

I think Ircher already tried the "dueling towns" concept, IIRC it wasn't super well received.Showhttp://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Mhsmith0
Conq: you, sir, are great at being town.
BATMAN: Only jugg was the only one we didn’t scum read at least not me
Quick: There is little to no chance this slot is Power-Wolfing.
SR: I want to give him a day
Life is simply unfair, don't you think?- Umlaut

Honestly, I think the idea would work better cult-recruitment style.
Edit: There's other quirks to iron out, but that kinda solves one issue inherent in the idea. - Ircher
