I wish to make a more balanced dethy-like setup.

First players are divided to
7 Townies
and
2 Mafia

In pregame each mafia member can choose to be
Mafia Goon
or
Mafia Rolecop
.

Based on their choice town roles will be selected:
2 Rolecops
1 Rolecop
1 Goon
2 Goons
Named Townie
Named Townie
-
Sane Cop
Sane Cop
Insane Cop
Sane Cop
Insane Cop
Paranoid Cop
Paranoid Cop
-
Naive Cop
3 Vanilla Townies
4 Vanilla Townies
4 Vanilla Townies


- Cop Head Start
- Mafia may talk during pregame.
- Rolecop can determine cop sanity.
- Cop Sanity isn't revealed upon one's death.

Interesting setup. Weird cop fest might be fun to play, but i actually really like the fact that scum is allowed to pick the setup rather than it being random. It might be a cool feature to add to the common newbie matrix, should stats show that it is too townsided. I personally think it kinda is, but i lack review logs and experience to say for sure.

The balance is really hard to analyze for a dethy-like setup. My impulse says these look townsided.
You can actually "nerf" town by replacing all VTs with some combination of Paranoid and Naïve cops.

It seems to have sharp power curve.
On the beginning results are completely unreliable, even alternating result could be wrong because of mad hatter. However after ~4 nights all of the results are suddenly clear. On other side scum could win 6v3 in two days, so power roles might wiped out before they become useful.
Maybe traitor would reduce this.

Yeah I'm biased towards scumsided setups, it's pretty likely traitor is closer to even than what I put.
