Audience Survivor JOAT

At first, this appears to be a normal-ish game. However, the introduction of the AUDIENCE changes the game entirely.

Any player not involved with the game may PM the mod to join the AUDIENCE team. The AUDIENCE has a PT and acts as a player, sort of.

AUDIENCE players may not replace into the game nor may they communicate with the main thread in any way.

In the AUDIENCE PT, each individual player may cast a vote to vote for a player or no elimination during the day.

During the day, every 24 hours, the plurality of AUDIENCE votes will cause the AUDIENCE player to vote (announced by the mod.)

The AUDIENCE can be voted out, eliminated, or night-killed.

During the night, the AUDIENCE may, using a similar system of plurality, elect to use one of its JOAT abilities:
1-Shot Publishing Cop/Fruit Vendor
- Will reveal the result of the investigation and fruit vend to its target.
1-Shot Doctor
- Will protect their target.
1-Shot Publishing Follower
- Will reveal the result of the investigation.
Or vote to use no ability.

The AUDIENCE acts as a normal player throughout the game, can be roleblocked, and has the win-condition of surviving to endgame.

As per NewD3, Roleblocker has priority while roleblocking. The factional kill is stopped by a JKer no matter who performs it.

Town have way too much power for a 7:2, but this isn't a 7:2. Normally, Survivor is a very scumsided role (basically because endgame comes a day early; in order to play to wincon a Survivor will vote a random townie in endgame and let scum hammer for the win, changing their vote if they hit scum by mistake). I'm not sure that that dynamic holds if everyone knows the Survivor's role and identity, though.

That said, the Survivor's abilities all seem townsided, which is weird for a third party (especially as using them will encourage the scum to nightkill them to stop them using more). Town have enough strength here that it wouldn't be hard for the Survivor to throw the game to them if they wanted to (but it would be throwing, a known Survivor only wins with town if the scum lets them). Roleblockers also don't function in the usual way when everyone knows who has most of the blockable power roles.

I think that what this setup needs is to work out what the Survivor's dynamic is, in terms of what sort of ability they're meant to have to help each side, and what tradeoffs they have in terms of people turning on them if they have too much influence. I suspect it'll turn into a game more like Diplomacy than Mafia, though (possibly a bad thing, given that Diplomacy may be one of the few games that can get even more toxic than Mafia does…)
