Finale Part 3: Chain Letter

{FINALE ~ PART 03}

Chain Letter

"""You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take." - Wayne Gretsky" - Michael Scott" - CuddlyCaucasian

RulesThis challenge is a more difficult version of Password.

Each member of your team will be given
five words
. The first player's words will be numbered #1-#5, the second player's #6-#10, etc. All words start and end with a different letter of the alphabet. When placed in the correct order, these 25 words will form a
chain
where the last letter in each preceding word is the same as the first letter of the word that follows. There is only one order the words can be placed in that will fulfill these requirements.

For example, the chain could contain:
  • plethora
  • abstract
  • trivial
  • lobotomy
  • yellow
  • whale
You will be attempting to complete the chain as quickly as possible by giving your teammates clues as to what your words are.

The game will take place in 5-minute rounds. On the first round, everyone will give a one-word clue for each of their words, specifying which clue applies to which numbered word. This clue must be a word in the English language, and cannot be a proper noun or a hyphenated combination of multiple words.
Outside sources are prohibited.

On all following 5-minute rounds, you may choose between
only one
of the following actions:
  • Give a clue:
following the same rules as for the first round, give a one-word clue for one of your words, specifying which numbered word it's for. If you think you've figured it out, it is possible for you to give a clue for a word that isn't yours.
  • Request help:
at any time during the 5 minutes, you can ask a teammate to give more information on a specific word you're unsure on.
  • Submit a guess:
to make a formal guess for the chain of 25 words, you must send your guess privately to a moderator. After you submit your guess, you'll be told how many connections in the chain were correct.
The game ends once
all members of your team
have correctly submitted guesses with all 25 connections correct. The team who does it the fastest wins. Contact a mod when you are ready.

The clue you give for a word must relate to the meaning of that word and should not be intended to indicate position in the chain or what the first or last letter is. Planning out a code for the clues to follow or anything of that nature is not allowed.

Congrats to Klick for being the closest to guessing the length of the game! He guessed 128 and it was 126.

That should count for something if it doesn’t already

You all played beautifully. Thanks for taking part in our creation. And most especially, thank you to CC, you're the only reason these events ever happen and you put so much effort and work into it, thank you for allowing me to be a part of the ride <3.

good job everybody! Is it too late to defect to Red
Show
Do I REALLY suck? That's up to you to decide.

Retiring from LSG's and Mish Mash, for the most part. If you want to contact me, I suggest going outside and enjoying what the world has to offer, instead.

Definitely DID suck, in the end...Probably.
