Welcome one and all from across the MafiaScum nation to the first ever Mish Mash event competition. Throughout this game you will be tested on a wide array of skills, and at the end only the best will remain. Without further ado, let's get into the first round.

You've been randomly placed into the teams shown below, with 4 veterans and 4 rookies on each team.

These teams will only last until the end of the current round, however, but being a part of one of the winning teams will guarantee your advancement to the second round of the game, as well as a better chance at getting a partner you want for next round.

For today's challenge, we're starting with the big guns. Since April of 2013, Kublai Khan has maintained his game of Guess the Movie from the Screenshot masterfully. In fact, it was even awarded the title of Best General Mish Mash Game in 2015.

So naturally, we're going to be providing each team with screenshots. And you have to guess the movie. Simple, right?

Game Rules

All team members will soon be given access to a private topic within Mish Mash where 20 movie stills will be posted, labeled "Movie 1", "Movie 2", etc. After 24 hours, you will be given an additional still for each movie, and another 24 hours after that, you will be given your final screenshot for each movie. If you correctly guess the title of a movie with only one screenshot, your team earns 3 points, followed by 1 less point for each additional screenshot. All guesses must be made official by bolding them, and you must specify which movie the guess is for. A single player may only submit a guess for each movie

ONCE

, even after additional stills have been provided. Players that have guessed for a movie may still discuss in the private topic what they think the movie could be, however. This means that throughout the course of the challenge, a total of 8 guesses may be made for each movie individually. If at any point you wish to receive additional screenshots early, effectively ending the first 24 hours, 3 team members must post the following phrase in-thread, bolded: "Move onto next stage."

When guessing a movie, you must match the title exactly for your guess to be counted as correct. For example, "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is acceptable, but "Lord of the Rings 2" is not. However, you will not be penalized for leaving out something trivial such as punctuation or the word "the". The mods will not make individual posts to point out each and every wrong guess, but we will try to verify correct guesses as quickly as possible. If wrong guesses are submitted for a movie after a correct guess has been made, the subsequent guesses will not count toward your incorrect guess tally.

The two teams with the most points at the end of the challenge will win, becoming safe from elimination, and having first pick in the draft for partners. If there is a tie, the team that submitted a lower number of incorrect guesses will win. If any further ties persist, the team that completed the challenge in the quickest time will win.

The order in which players will draft for partners will be determined by how many points a player individually scored for their team. In the event of tie, the tiebreaker is fewest number of incorrect guesses. If another tie occurs, the order will be determined randomly.

NO OUTSIDE SOURCES ARE ALLOWED. THIS INCLUDES THE INTERNET, MOVIES THEMSELVES, ETC. YOU MAY NOT COMMUNICATE ABOUT THE CHALLENGE WITH MEMBERS OF OTHER TEAMS.

In addition to the challenge, everyone has 72 hours to submit a list ranking everyone in the game in order of who they want to draft. Veterans need only rank Rookies, and Rookies need only rank Veterans. During future rounds, you will only need to rank members of the opposing team; however, players will be able to draft members of their own team if they are part of a losing team for this round only. A list of all players in the game can be found here.

Your entire list will not be revealed during the draft process. When it is your turn, the first eligible player on your list will be revealed, and will become your partner for the next challenge. Please send in a list as soon as possible so you don't forget!
