We're avoiding having this end up being a game that ends up with everything on discord, so we're not making a general one. Also avoiding non-tribal contact anywhere there isn't this thread.

Immunity Challenge Five.

This challenge is one you may have seen in the Sunday newspaper. It's called a criptarithm, or alphamemetic. The attached link helps explain exactly what this is.

Your goal is to solve this as quickly as possible--you'll see a puzzle, then be asked a question about it.

Answering correctly will stop your time after you submit. Answering incorrectly will get you a penalty time of sixty minutes. Starting but not submitting within sixty minutes will get you a penalty time of sixty minutes. Not starting will get you a time of seventy-five minutes.

Here's how this challenge will be scored. Your tribe average will be an average of the fastest tribe member's time, the slowest tribe member's time, and the longest duration between any two tribe members' times. For example, if all tribe members except one solved within ten minutes, but one person took the full sixty minutes, the third averaged time would be fifty minutes. The tribe that has the fastest average time using the rules above will win immunity. The other two tribes will head to Tribal Council.

Important notes--there is a blue line under two of the letters in this puzzle. This is not wholly relevant to the puzzle.
You are, as always, not allowed to discuss the details of the challenge with your tribe. You can, however, discuss timing strategies. You are not allowed to use outside resources on this challenge.

If the times are (for example) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 40 - is the third score to be averaged 39 or 34? The wording implies the former as the longest duration between two times is the duration between 1 and 40.

34. The duration we're counting between tribe members times is just the time between the two (or one if they're fastest/slowest) on either side of them.

Immunity Challenge Seven

Today's challenge has something familiar, and also different.

You'll be working to complete a jigsaw sudoku puzzle as quickly as possible. This sudoku puzzle, however, will use different regions than the standard 9x9 grid.

Here's an example of what I mean:



NOTE: Your puzzle will NOT have the same nine regions shown above.

In your puzzle, there will be three highlighted numbers. Your goal will be to answer a question about the three highlighted numbers as quickly as possible.

If you answer the question correctly, your time will be however long it took you to finish. If you start but answer incorrectly, do not answer at all, or take longer than 60 minutes, your time will be recorded as sixty minutes. If you do not start, your time will be recorded as seventy-five minutes.

We're going back to an old favourite for this one--the MEDIAN time for each tribe will be compared to each other, and the fastest median time will win immunity. For Mafia, that means the average of the fifth and sixth fastest tribe members will be used. For Scum, that means the fifth fastest tribe member's time will be used.

A cell if it has water in it should be full of water.

Water would make itself as level as possible.
