I mean, in Buy The Bullet, Kappy played the high profile by declaring the Alliance while I intentionally dumbing down when I talk with other players outside the alliance. Thus, I can get away with the betrayal.
Alas, I panicked when Kappy start drawing target and blurt out every move that I played. If only I kept my coolness ><
I definitely agree with this! Putting yourself out in the open can definitely be helpful in the right situation, but if you're doing it haphazardly it's probably gonna blow up.

"So here's the options. I can use the power of veto on myself, removing myself from the block and saving myself from eviction this Thursday. I can use the power of veto on the other nominee, effectively saving them from being voted out in the eviction this Thursday. Or, I can choose not to use the power of veto on either nominee, keeping the nominations the same for the eviction where someone will be voted out this Thursday on CBS live. This is a tough decision."

Yeah, my main point is that anyone TRYING to be iconic comes off as a complete tryhard (see: Reed in SJDS). Sue in Borneo was great because she was honestly speaking her mind

Spoiler: CC's guide to being a finalist
Now that you've made it to the end of your first game, it's time for the jury to decide who wins. So how are you gonna make sure you're the one they vote for? Let's find out!
Make sure your opening speech is 3,000 words or longer. You want to go through every single event in the game explaining your thought process. Go day by day giving an in-depth view of even the most trivial decisions you made. This way, few people will read your entire speech and they will merely assume you put a lot of thought into the game and that you deserve it because you tried super hard.
When writing your speech or answering questions, you want to admit none of your flaws, because you didn't have any.
Assume everyone on the jury is jealous of you and resents you, but that you don't deserve it because they're only mad you got to the end instead of them. If anyone says anything you interpret as critical or negative, shrug it off and ignore those haters.
Questions where people ask you to give a gif describing each member of the jury are the most important questions. These gifs will be graded on a scale from whiff to gifilf, so focus on that over anything game-related.
Everyone on the jury feels like they are equally robbed and deserved to win, which they do. Surrender your spot in the finals to every jury member, because they also tried super hard and deserve to win.
If you ignore a juror's question, they'll probably come to their senses and realize it was a dumb question, and they won't hold you accountable for it.
For your closing speech, you're going to want to find the best way to paraphrase your opening speech, and you need to completely redesign your platform if people didn't like your opening speech. If you're getting the feeling that the jury got a bad impression from your performance at Final Tribal Council so far, the best thing for you to do is cave on all of your bold claims from earlier on, because the jury will respect your newfound self-awareness.
I hope all these tips will help guide you to become the next Sole Survivor! As a one-time finalist, I feel as if I am probably the expert on this matter, so don't listen to anything anyone else tells you. There is only one correct way to win the game.

Also if there were to be a skype chat I'd want to be in on it
Yeah, if Magic Kingdom is any indication of how letting pre-game relationships fly freely goes, I think what we're doing with anon games is going fine for the most part

This isn't really a tip for playing, but something that I thought of after Nexus:
If you don't use your confessional to explain what you're doing, all the spectators will assume you're doing nothing and have no idea what's going on. Even if you're actually playing a great game, no one will have any way to know! They will actively root against you, and you probably won't be happy reading the spectator forums post-game.
