Listmod in charge - Cephrir
This thread is for games that are
First off, please make sure you meet the requirements to moderate a Large Social Game:
- All games must have two people on the moderation team. It is up to you how the division of duties will be handled. If you've had previous moderation problems, you may be required to bring on a third co-mod. Even if not required, the LSG listmods highly recommend you bring on a third co-mod. It's not required, but it is best practice.
- If anybody on the moderation team has never moderated a game before, then it's up to the listmod in charge if they want to require a third mod.
- All moderators must have at least completed one game onsite or been a member of MafiaScum for at least 3 months.
- Unlike the Mafia queues, off-site games MAY be counted towards moderating experience at the discretion of the Large Social Game moderators.
- MILESTONE 1:Your game has a logo, forums are created, and a basic game outline has been created. The outline doesn't have to include challenges, but will need to include the number of players and initial twist ideas. At the point where you're ready with this, you submit your game to the queue, and a listmod is assigned to your game. Your game is added to the "current/upcoming games" list in the queue thread.
- MILESTONE 2: Forum skinning/graphic templates are completed, challenge ideas have been filled in, and twists have been finalized.
- MILESTONE 3: The game is fully completed: challenge writeups are done, initial posts/permissions have been set up on the forums, and the game is ready to start. At this point, your game is ready to fire in the queue and casting may begin when it fires. The listmod in charge will give a time frame of when your game will run and provide a preliminary game classification to the moderators:
Spoiler:
Game classification is subject to change until signups are posted, in response to any changes the mods wish to make during that time.
When you believe you are at Milestone 1, please post in this thread answers to the following questions:
- Game name -
- Moderators -
- Number of players -
- Link to your game's logo -
- Game outline and major twists have been established -
- Listmod in charge (to be filled in by LSG listmods) -
Once you have answered these questions, congratulations! Your game will be assigned a listmod and its status reviewed, then it will be added to the queue!
Right now we are currently trying to stagger the starts of the games, depending on interest from players and how many games are currently in the Queue. The general rule is that a new game will go into signups when the most recent game to have already started has eliminated 50% of the starting players. However, if there is a shortage of games ready to run, we may stop staggering.
A game's position in the Queue is determined by the game mods and listmods based on their being ready to enter signups.
