surely we could just tell people "pming is rly important, esp in first few hours etc. also idols are hidden in these types of places and you can expect these types of challenges" w/out going to convoluted teaching mechanics. i mean, what could a "coach" do that a guide or reading past games could not. apart from things that we don't want like controlling someone's strategy or allying w/ other coaches.

other problem is to run a game like that we'd need like 16-18 newbies which like...has never happened and has shown no indication that it ever will happen.

Personally I don't like the idea of a hidden anything because 99 times out of 100 it gives people with experience an unfair edge over the newbies

Honestly, I think the practice of hiding idols within the actual forum pages (through secret links and the like) should be done away with. It gives veterans such an unfair advantage, since combing every character of every page is the very first thing they do, right? A vet is basically guaranteed an idol within the first couple days (at the latest) of the game.

I really liked how the idols were hidden in One World (aka through covered items/items that weren't what they actually were + some task to follow).

I think people need to get more creative with "how to hide things in forums."

Like doing it in such a way where it's still "hidden" but not in a way that a vet will find first every time.

I generally liked the MLS cup idol in MLS, although I could have made parts of it less arcane

(Not the Uruguay clue, though, which was a weird stumbling block for a ton of people)

We didn't realize that you played for Team Uruguay, that's why!

(Though in all actuality I did figure that one out relatively quickly)

could work if enough players were willing to sign up. id def be willing to play
I really do like this idea, especially if there aren't a lot of swaps early on, so the Vets can't take advantage of the newbies right off the bat.

I just remember something.

Is it possible for game mods to release PM made by players during game?

I have been garbage-dumping confessional and I see a lot of moment where the only reason why they decided to boot someone is because "I don't like it," which implies there is an implicit meta of a good PM technique than just "keep replying and try to make it full of meat instead of one liner".

The reason I asked for this is in Ned's school, there is a thread that gives us a list of password and I have been accessing people's account. Some have changed their password and some didn't and seeing other's people PM gives me a more clearer picture of demanded "PM dynamic".

I think from Ned's school--the most helpful account is McMenno's Spongebob account who one of the biggest reason he got sacked is because he happened to be rubbing people the wrong way and now it makes more senses why I get voted out quickly and why my attempt to make social connection flat down in Abridged.

The game mods don't have access to the players PMs, unless they change the passwords back to what they were made originally.

Also you should probably ask the people concerned before you access their accounts.

Yeah I remember there was discussion re this post game in the game that you're talking about Realeo, and some people specifically said they wouldn't want their PMs read.

Personally I'm all good to have mine read, and if anyone wants any of my passwords they can PM me, but just saying.

I tried to post all my conversations in magic kingdom and in civilization in my confessional (may be somewhat incomplete though) and really I'm happy to give out account info to any games of mine and explain my votes more in depth (assuming I remember the instances) if you just let me know what.
