I'll reveal the votes. The two players with the most votes will enter the Black Hole. In the event of a tie preventing there from being exactly two players going in, all tied players will be safe and people will be randomly selected to fill the remaining slots.

Cephrir voted for...
Spoiler:
Ghug

Image

Chevre voted for...
Spoiler:
Ghug

Image

Ghug voted for...
Spoiler:
Meme

That's 2 votes Ghug, 1 vote Meme

Image

Kublai voted for...
Spoiler:
Meme

Image

MGD voted for...
Spoiler:
Xalxe

Image

TWIE voted for...
Spoiler:
Chevre

That's 2 votes Ghug, 2 votes Meme, 1 vote Chevre, 1 vote Xalxe

Image

Xalxe voted for...
Spoiler:
Xalxe

Image

Meme voted for...
Spoiler:
Meme

3 votes Meme, 2 votes Ghug, 2 votes Xalxe, 1 vote Chevre.

We have an interesting voting situation. With 3 votes and being the top vote-getter, Meme will go into the Black Hole. Because we cannot put either Ghug or Xalxe into the Black Hole second spot, they now become immune from the Black Hole, and we randomize from the remaining 3 players (exclude Meme, Ghug and Xalxe).

Code: Select all

There were 3 items in your list. Here they are in random order:

MGD
Kublai
Chevre
IP: 97.xx.xx.xx
Timestamp: 2018-02-26 00:36:04 UTC

This means that MGD will face-off against Meme in the Black Hole.

Memory Cells

{Cephrir, TWIE}

This final void is a fun one. We know how much you all enjoyed Ku-Do-Su, but we hated how it took away the opportunity for you to solve a sudoku yourselves. Therefore, everyone will now be solving a sudoku from scratch. And by "from scratch", we mean you'll start with no numbers in the grid at all.

When you're ready to begin, fill out this google form, upon which your time will start and you will receive a list of clues relating to events from during the game, each one listed next to a cell coordinate. Use this clues to enter numbers into the blank sudoku grid below, and once you believe you have enough numbers, solve it and submit a screenshot of the full grid in the google form. You will not be required to guess at any point, and there is only one solution.

Image

If your submission is incorrect, you will have 5 minutes added onto your time for each number you have wrong. However, a mod will let you know how many cells you have wrong after you submit, so it is in your best interest to complete the challenge while a mod is online and to let one know immediately after you submit. If you eventually solve the puzzle correctly, time penalties from previous attempts will be ignored.

You are allowed to reference game information in this thread or the Discord, but you are PROHIBITED from using outside sources to solve the sudoku.

The Black Hole nominee and Void participant with the slowest times will be eliminated from the game. But that's not all - the players with the best times overall will be given an advantage at the start of the next round. Therefore,
all players will participate in this challenge.
Obviously, the members of the winning pair from this round's mission are still safe from elimination. You have
24 hours
to finish the challenge.

Resultados por favor. All times have penalties (if applicable) included.

We have Meme vs. MGD in the Black Hole.

In first was...
Spoiler:
Image

Meme with 1:25:46!

Therefore the eliminated player is...
Spoiler:
Image

MGD who conceded and did not finish.

Sad to see you go MGD, especially going in a Black Hole after not getting a vote. You played a very Sandy-esque game. In the end, randomization sucks. You're a great The Challenge fan and we deserve our Monthly Melissa, even on every Sunday. Thanks for playing! Can't wait to see you in another game!

First in the void was...
Spoiler:
Image

Ghug with a time of 0:55:56!

Second in the void was...
Spoiler:
Image

Kublai with a time of 1:06:27!

Third in the void and surviving was...
Spoiler:
Image

Chevre with a time of 1:26:46!

This means that the eliminated player was...
Spoiler:
Image

Xalxe who did not finish. Xalxe, for all the times you were eligible to go in, you managed to escape the black hole every single time. You're a fighter through and through. Your social game was great, but it can't save you from The Void. Away to the Void you will go, along with all knowledge of the pronunciation of your name. Thanks for playing, it's a pleasure as always.

Also, we need to know Purple Team's times to figure out who won the advantage for next round!

TWIE's time was:
Spoiler:
Image

2:54:53. Good you had immunity there.

Cephrir's time was:
Spoiler:
Image

1:23:51. Good enough for 3rd place.

Ghug is in first, Kublai in second, Meme in fourth, and Chevre in fifth.

{Finale}

Welcome to the final six. It's been a long journey across the universe to get here, but you've finally reached the finale. The finale will take place in two parts. For part 1, everyone will be forced to face a final Black Hole. But who will face off against who? Opponents will be selected based off of how you did in the previous Void. The player that had the fastest time overall will pick their opponent from the other five players. Then, the remaining player with the fastest time will pick their opponent from the three remaining. The two leftover players will face each other.

Only Connect

Chevre vs. TWIE

Welcome to the Final Black Hole. Today, you'll face off in the game of Only Connect. This is a quiz show based on finding connections in seemingly unrelated things. You'll compete in one-on-one matches live in separate Discord channels.

Part 1
is the
Connections
round. There will be six categories in this round, with up to 4 clues in each category. At the start of a category, one clue will be given, with each additional clue following in 15-second intervals. A player may buzz in at any time by posting "STOP" in the Discord channel. They will then be given 15 seconds to guess what connects all 4 clues in the category. The mods may ask for further clarification in your answer. If a player buzzes in incorrectly, time will resume for the other player from the point where the first player buzzed in. If 15 seconds pass after the last clue is revealed, the category will end with no one receiving points. A player who answers correctly after the first clue gets 5 points, then 3 points after the second clue, 2 points after the third clue, and 1 point after the last clue.

Part 2
is the
Sequences
round. There will be six categories in this round, with up to 3 clues in each category, and it is your objective to determine the fourth item. At the start of a category, one clue will be given, with each additional clue following in 20-second intervals. A player may buzz in at any time by posting "STOP" in the Discord channel. They will then be given 15 seconds to guess the fourth clue in the category. There may be multiple correct answers for a category, and you do not need to explain why your answer fits. If a player buzzes in incorrectly, time will resume for the other player from the point where the first player buzzed in. If 20 seconds pass after the last clue is revealed, the category will end with no one receiving points. A player who answers correctly after the first clue gets 5 points, then 3 points after the second clue, and 2 points after the third clue.

Part 3
is the
Missing Vowels
round. One at a time, words or phrases in a category will be shown with all their vowels removed and their spacing shifted. The category of each item will be given prior to the item, and there will be multiple items in a category. There is no buzzing in on this round; simply post your answer once you think you have it. A correct answer earns 1 point, and an incorrect answer subtracts 1 point from your total and allows the opponent 5 seconds to steal. An incorrect answer on a steal doesn't subtract a point. An incorrect spelling in this round counts as an incorrect answer. If no one responds to a clue after 10 seconds, we'll move onto the next one. The Missing Vowels round will consist of 15 items. In the Missing Vowels round, the letter "Y" is considered a vowel in words such as "myth" or "nymphomaniac" but it is considered a consonant in words such as "yonder" or "yeti".

All outside sources are ALLOWED during this challenge.
Please find a time during which you can complete the challenge with your opponent within the next
48 hours
.

{Final Mission}

Supreme Regent of the Black Hole

Image

ImageImageImage

Now we come to our final obstacle before the end of journey. And everyone will be competing separately with only
one
winner. To complete our journey, we've been searching all across the universe traversing through the deep corners to find the right planet for us. We've navigated on our ships, we've learned more from alien lifeforms, and we've developed some basic foundations to be able to populate our new planet. Unlucky for us, this new grand planet already has habitants. Lucky for us, they are ruled by a familiar supreme regent. We have chosen to make Planet of the Babars our final destination.

In this Final Mission, all three competitors will engage in a drawing contest to make a drawing to present a suitable abode to our most supreme regent, Babar. For this puzzle, you must read a list of 20 steps to complete a picture. You must read all the directions carefully and draw a picture according to the instructions. Once you believe that you have drawn the correct picture, you must upload it and submit your drawing. If any of the required details are incorrect, you will only be instructed that you have made an incorrect drawing and you will earn a 15 minute penalty which will be added to your final time. You must continue until you have submitted the correct picture. In each step, you will be given three options for your drawing. The correct choice will be determined by a clue which will ask you about a fact about an episode in this game (1-10). The options for each clue will be: 1-3, 4-6, 7-10. You must determine when during the game such an event occurred. For example, if the clue asks: "When did animorpherv get eliminated from the game. If if was during episodes 1-3, draw a gold house in the picture, if it was during episodes 4-6, draw a purple house in the picture, and if it was during episodes 7-10, draw a black house in the picture." In this case, it was during episode 1, so you would draw a gold house for the correct option. You are encouraged to look back in public mafiascum threads or discord chat to attempt to figure out the answer to the clue.
No outside resources are allowed (aside from mafiascum and discord archives).

In case you have been going slow and still feel lost, after one hour (including penalties) of attempting this puzzle, every 15 minutes you will be allowed to create a list of 5 of the steps and your answers for each, and ask if you have answered correctly for all of the steps. You will only be told if the list of 5 steps is all correct or if there is a mistake in there. You will not be told which step is incorrect. Artistic quality does not count toward the final judging. Begin at Step 1 to start the challenge. Once you feel that you have completed the drawing according to the instructions, please submit your image. If your answer is incorrect, you will be told that you are incorrect and 15 additional minutes will be added to the final time.

You must schedule ASAP with a mod to find a time that works for you. Your starting time must be within the next
72 hours
.

The player with the quickest time will win this final mission and be crowned the winner of The Challenge: The Void.

Guys. You were all absolutely great to mod. This was a 26-player game with no issues involving non-submissions or flakes or quits or modkills. When does that happen? Basically, only this time. And the final three all fought
hard
to get here. Any of you would have been a deserving winner. But alas, there can only be one.

In third place...

Spoiler:
With a time...

of 2 hours and 18 minutes...

Image

Ghug. You beat out your fellow WebDiplomacy competitors, and you won many missions along the way. This was a tough final, and I hope you get another chance to play again and win one of these large social things in the future.

The top two were separated by 12 minutes. The winner is...

Spoiler:
With a time...

of 1 hour...

and 40 minutes.....

Cephrir is the champion! After losing almost every team mission, you did it man. All you need to do in this game is not lose in the Void or Black Hole, and you kept winning. This is a well-deserved victory, and storywise it's a fantastic ending.

Image

Chevre, you doubted yourself a lot along the way, but you're an incredible competitor and human being, and on another day this could have easily shaken out the other way. You both deserve a huge round of applause, and I hope you two have made some new friends along the way. Pablito and I had a blast modding this game, and everyone treated the game with a lot of respect. Thank you to everyone for giving us such a fun competition where we never knew who would win, and keep giving us unpredictable games in the future. CC out. :cop:

Thanks for putting this on, mods. You guys really put together a high quality game and the challenges were pretty fresh. I really appreciated your diligence with updating the first few posts. I know how much work these things take, so seriously, thanks for giving of your time to create this fun thing for us. And thanks to chevre for the fun times and maybe scheming? You managed to get me invested in someone else's success in a game where that doesn't make much sense, and talk nongame for the sheer fun of it even though I was deliberately trying not to spend too much time doing that.

seriously, i've always liked you and even now that i realize never targeting you meant i'd never win, I don't know if I'd do any differently <3 I loved having someone like you to 1-on-1 talk to for most of the game!

yes, thank you mods. the challenges in this game really scratched my puzzle-loving itches.

BTW USING DISCORD WAS AN AMAZING IDEA!!!!!

Spectators: sorry I got real turnt at various points in this game. I think despite everything I ever said I'm not really mad at anyone. I like pretty much everyone.

I just get really dramatic and I see this and I'm like "well nothing
really
matters, let's crank it up to 11"

sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings!

Congrats Chevre! You were great and played really well. Also, incredibly entertaining!

Thanks to Pablito & CC! You guys kept everything running smoothly, the games were varied, interesting, and challenging. You kept everyone engaged throughout the whole thing. It's no surprise that you had no flakes, it was hard not to look forward to playing.

Congrats to Cephrir and Ghug. You guys were great. Really enjoyed talking and playing with you both!

And thanks to everyone else and the spectators. This was a very fun experience!
