lol. I just pay a lot of attention to foreign policy stuff so I thought that might be fun? It's the only politics theme I could really think of since there was a US game already ran fairly recently.

Skyrim would be fantastic imo. The DC and Marvel ones would also be clutch

id still love to see a star wars game run.

i was wondering...the scope of the franchise is so HUGE that modding a game to encompass EVERYTHING can be overwhelming.
what if Star Wars was run as a series?
Star Wars: Outer Rim
Star Wars: The Old Republic
etc.

it could help to set some parameters and let stuff be run

MCU has been done to death
DCU has been done via arkham games, dunno what a new theme would bring to it?

hunger games, pirates, food are all meh. though PSV was "ice cream flavors" so i think the right design could be good

NFL/MLB/NBA/Olympics/college are all okay but i really think sports-based games are gonna wind up being a big "meh" from the community

Skyrim...does that even have enough characters?
same with Fortnite
same with Miencraft

UN could be fun.

Indiana Jones like barely has enough characters idk

Skyrim has tens/hundreds, although perhaps not many appealing characters. All Elder Scrolls would have more & be great. minecraft no characters, but popular franchise. food would be good I would love food. hunger games doesn't appeal to me. Olympics would be nice, other sports not so much, those are all American sports I have no interest in, but nobody wants to do Survivor Cricket either. Literally never heard of fortnite apart from hella people are streaming it on twitch or whatever.

That totally makes sense to me about star wars. I was thinking something kind of along the lines of games set in different eras.

MCU has been done a lot? I was thinking the conclave marvel v. DC game was the only time itd been ran. And that was comic characters, not movie ones, not that it makes a huge difference.
DC has been ran a lot

Food would take some creativity, but it could be fun imo. It's a generic flavor everyone would know

I expected that about sports.

Skyrim does, you just have to be willing to be someone obscure to a degree though cause there's not many major characters. Who you interact with all depends on where you go on the map.

Minecraft I was thinking just pick your own skin kinda thing. It would give freedom to be w/e you want as long as it was in a blocky form.

I would pretty explicitly support more sports and MCU themes (I think the "people aren't interested in sports" thing is slightly overplayed given that most people are theme-agnostic and just want to play)

No.

Sports would have to be mainstreamish sport. I think MLS was a bit too obscure

bro supporting more mcu???? consider me shook

i think the myth of people being theme-agnostic is just that...a myth
if a theme is too bland or boring people lose interest and apathy sets in way easier

PSV was mostly newbies and people did get apathy from the theme
DBZA was carried by Kawazu and only Kawazu and there's overall a negative vibe about the game from the community
MLS is widely regarded as the most meh game in modern site history

it could be a coincidence that all three of these games are viewed negatively or not-positively but i doubt it

but we need mods more than we need good themes right now so we'll pretty much take what we can get

I think in general making mechanically interesting games and having good casts matters more than the quality of the theme

I would say the "theme" was "Survivor the way it's actually played if you were stranded on a desert island," so it wasn't bland even if the characters were from the show. There's a lot of overlap between theme/concept for me.

Not cuz of the theme? Everyone was excited for that. It being abridged and all the social challenges was that
