What's your favorite twist from a game that isn't common?

For large social games such as Survivor where the primary mechanic is social interaction.

shipwrecks are honestly terrible and im glad they've mostly fallen out of favor

Yeah these have been the primary cause of activity drop in most of my games. Glad shipwrecks are dead.

Just make a twist that you can only PM 3~ people in a giant merge. If you want to get a message to someone else, better hope one of the 3 can talk to them.

you could uh...start a game with a 20 player shipwreck before schoolyard pick, but PMs are banned. that would probably work in some way.

in the pregame period, there will be a 24 hour period in which everyone on the same tribe can PM everyone else on the same tribe. then people make a list ranking their tribemates and the PMing will be based on that list, with people getting as high of a match-up as possible. repeat for swaps. then, at the merge, the same 24 hour period, the same list. but this time... people will get their WORST possible matchup. glhf

It sounds cumbersome and like it actually doesnt make the game anymore interesting but just tries to make it seem it
