I would like not to speak of this... As the person who broke that rule >_>
I was talking about JT in EtE, what are you talking about?
You don't remember Charizard and Alakazam?

I wonder how long it will take for BRO to start advocating semi-anonymous games

Would you explain what a "Semi-Anonymous" game even is?

Is that where you know the player base but not who in particular is who, or that half the cast is known while the other half remain anonymous?

the game is anonymous but you are allowed to reveal your identity

I still am a big fan of semi-anonymous games, in any form. One way I've considered involves everyone knowing the identity of one person. One involves Redemption Island, and people being revealed as they are eliminated.

non anon and anon each have a lot of benefits

non-anon is WAY less fun on a community like this where people know eachother. Skype games like me/bro/jess/bebs/more have played are a way more authentic different experience.

anon is a sort of necessary evil for this community to be able to have games

that said non-anon is fun as a sort of like all stars or "big moment" game but its completely different type of game where all parties are known etc

It's a very different experience but it is one that everybody should consider experiencing.
See I feel the opposite about that. I really hated being as exposed as I was. I'm fine if people do them, but I'm not likely to sign up for another one after the last couple non-anons I've played. It's...emotionally taxing.

are anons not emotionally taxing for you???

The difference is in anons I can go be emotional on my own time and not have that catch me off guard. Like on a computer you can take a moment to step away.

In non anon there's no character buffer to hide behind. You get caught on voice/camera whatever and like the emotions come whether you want them or not.

I suppose that's why I said it's a personal preference, some people deal better with their raw emotions on the spot, others deal better when they are able to take time to cope with their emotions and make more rational decisions after.

I see how well I play on the discord games, and I just don't feel like I can actually talk to people as myself.
The only other proof I have is what I was like in mario bros survivor in 2012, and I can't see myself being different from that, even with 5 years of anon games under my belt.

While I know I'm easy to ID (I'm fairly sure someone has guessed me correctly in every game I've played), and therefore it shouldn't matter that much as my style is unchanging, going non-anon just feels scary to me.

Although that's not to say I wouldn't necessarily play one, I just have doubts I can do well.

Semi anon is probably the best.
Non anonymous games arent that bad but past actions influcencing stuff isnt exactly fun.

What do you mean when you talk about semi-anon?

List of who's in the game given, but not who's who.

I mean... you don't actually have to talk to people in discord games from my experience. I made it all the way to the end and I only had a real "conversation" with one person (enteri). Everybody else was just game talk.

Hey just saw this post. Long time mser here.

I am on production for a Skype-based survivor game currently taking applications now. Both myself and some other people on this forum have played and it is honestly one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had playing survivor. Live challenges, tribals, twists and turns. Highly recommend and if you want the link to the app, PM me :)
