Power of Veto #3: Flash Game 2

Competing in this Power of Veto: 15, 22, 23, 27, 413, 3141592653.

Time for another Flash game! The logistics of this one will work just like the last one - you’ll use the Flash Game Starting/Ending Form initially to start the challenge and submit your PoV usage, and then later to finish the challenge and give me your score.

I can’t tell you what the Flash game is yet, but once you start the form, you’ll have 45 minutes to get as high of a score as you can. By the deadline, take a screenshot of your best score - making sure to include evidence that you got that score for this game, and submit the form again. You can do this as many times as you want during the 45 minutes - I will only look at your last submission. If you lose track of time, there’s a five-minute grace period after the 45 minutes, in which if you submit, I’ll just give you a 25% penalty.

The player with the best score will win the Head of Household. You have 48 hours to complete the challenge, and the Flash Game Starting/Ending Form is located here. Deadline is in (expired on 2020-04-13 22:00:00).

Now, how did they use the Power of Veto?

Spoiler: The Power of Veto winner has decided...
to use the veto on 3141592653.

With that, the power goes back to 22 to pick the replacement nominee. They may not choose 3141592653 or 15. Head of Household, you have 24 hours to PM me your decision. Decision will be posted when I have it, but not before 11pm EDT tonight.

Spoiler: By a vote of 5 to 2...
27 has been evicted from the BB: AQP household.

HoH #4: Bracketeering

Your next Head of Household challenge will be a strategy game called Bracketeering (this is not the Jackbox game of the same name, don’t worry)! Remember that the outgoing Head of Household does not play in the challenge where their replacement is named. This game will occur in a single elimination bracketed tournament with the following randomly-generated bracket:

Quarterfinals:
Game A: 15 vs. 3141592653
Game B: 83 vs. 66
Game C: 23 vs. 413
Game D: 37 vs. 74

Semifinals:
Game E: Winner of A vs. Winner of B
Game F: Winner of C vs. Winner of D

Final:
Game G: Winner of E vs. Winner of F

Each of you gets 100 points to divide between the three rounds of the tournament. You must assign a positive integer point value to each of the three rounds, and you must spend all 100 of your points between the three rounds. With this done, the bracket will be played out.

The winner of each game will be determined randomly, but your chance to win is weighted by the amount of points that you and your opponent spend. Several examples of this randomization are below:

i) If player A spends 20 points and player B spends 35 points, player A will have a 20/55 (~36%) chance of winning and player B will have a 35/55 (~64%) chance of winning.
ii) If player A and player B each spend 35 points, each player will have a 50% chance of winning.
i) If player A spends 60 points and player B spends 5 points, player A will have a 60/65 (~92%) chance of winning and player B will have a 5/65 (~8%) chance of winning.

Winners will advance onto the next round, where the winners will advance to the finals, and the winner of that game will be the Head of Household. You have 48 hours to make your submission by PM.
Remember to include your nominee selections in the event that you win!
Deadline is in (expired on 2020-04-16 17:00:00).

PoV #4: A Math Test

Competing in this challenge are 15, 22, 66, 74, 413, and 3141592653.

Hope you either remember your middle school math or are keeping up with your remote lectures, because it’s time for A Math Test!

When you start the challenge with the Challenge Start Form, you’ll see a math test! The math test features 20 standard operation calculations (you won’t see anything here that doesn’t appear in the order of operations), plus five word problems. You need to solve all of these problems as fast as possible, as you’d probably expect. No calculators allowed!

The player that scores the highest the fastest, noting that each of the 20 standard operation calculations is worth one point and each word problem is worth three points, will win the Power of Veto. You have 48 hours to complete the challenge and submit how you will use the Power of Veto.

The Challenge Start Form is found HERE. Deadline is in (expired on 2020-04-17 21:00:00).

PoV #5: Numerical Trivia

Competing in this PoV challenge are 15, 23, 37, 66, 83, and 413.

It’s time for a classic from Survivor: A Quiet Place, and that’s some Numerical Trivia! Once again, I’ll give you a series of questions with numerical answers, and your job is to guess the answer to each one without outside sources or calculators. You’ll do so at the Challenge Start Form once again, which is located HERE.

Once everyone has submitted, I’ll rank your answers from best to worst. The player with the best score will get 10 points - second place will get 7, third 5, fourth 3, fifth 2, and sixth 1. After all of this, the player with the most points (using time to submit as a tiebreaker if there is a tie) will win the Power of Veto! You have 48 hours to complete the challenge and submit your PoV choice. Deadline is in (expired on 2020-04-23 13:00:00).

ARE
allowed, unlike many past challenges!

You might be wondering why I put quotes around about. That’s because while each of the questions will use Coronavirus as a premise, none of them will actually be about the ailment. Instead, it will lead you to another topic, which will be what the question is actually about. For example, if the topic was baseball, I might have given you a question along the lines of “The Nationals from Washington, DC won the 2019 World Series. How many different national capitals did United States have before the capital was moved to Washington, DC?”

You’ll get into this trivia through the Challenge Start Form, which is still located HERE. The person that gets the most questions correct the fastest will win this Head of Household. You have 48 hours to complete the challenge and submit your tentative nominations. Deadline is in (expired on 2020-04-26 01:00:00).
