My Little Monty: Friendship is Magic

comes a game like no other... (and by that I mean it's very similar to every survivor game ever ran)

In one night, we will accomplish what would normally take 39 days and crown a sole survivor...

I will run the game with anywhere from eleven to sixteen players. Depending on the size of the player list, the game will probably take about three hours. The goal is to start at approximately

8pm ET, Friday, December 4th.

The game will be ran entirely through discord.
If you're not familiar with survivor, basically there's a challenge, someone wins immunity and then there's a tribal council where somebody gets voted out. If you have any questions, let me know. And as always, you can sign up to spectate if you don't want to play.

If you're thinking to yourself, "wow, what a game. I wish I could relive every moment of that", or perhaps "what the heck is going on in this thread, the year is 2200 and everyone involved has died", try reading these summaries I wrote in real time from the spec POV.

ROUND 2:

Winnie/Riley/Skelda trio forms on Prop tribe, but winnie backstabs riley. Allegedly Riley was forming many alliences.

Skelda has also been forming many alliances with kdowns/ips but not targeted.

Pants has an alliance of Pants/menno/gb + xof on cowboys targeting dsjstr
Xof likes PhantomHearts the most

Spoiler: Episode 3/F11/Merge

ROUND 3:

A merge happens

Winnie plans to BACKSTAB!

Xof and Phantom grow closer and agree to watch each others backs.
PhantomHearts warns Xof not to trust winnie.

Winnie posts a picture of the cat in the tribe chat.

GeorgeBaily/Menno/Xof says the plan is to pagong. For reference the cowboys were xof, pants, gb, phantom, djstr, menno

GB protection squad (Pants/menno/gb + xof) are in a good place to do this.

Phantom says to Xof "Can we trust the other tribe?"

The pagong seems to target IPS first. The communists vote for dsjstr, but dsjstr votes for skelda, because Skelda was targeting dsjstr.

The pagong quickly falls apart. Dsjstr and skelda seem to get in a 1v1.

Phantom thinks it changed last minute to George, probably hearing this from dsjstr.

Judging by their confusion, it seems like phantom/xof got left out of the dsjstr vote.

Spoiler: Episode 4/F10

Round 4: F10

A scandal takes place during the challenge when george and several others disclose that they are using word scramble enhancing drugs, but everyone is forgiven.

Hectic unscrambles 3 words to win immunity.

After some time of confessional silence, George votes kdowns. Menno follows.

Menno says that last round, dsjstr targeted george.

Xof feels unsatisfied that she promised not to vote skelda then voted skelda in the minority.

It is then revealed that kdowns asked to be voted out.

Kdowns begins playing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but closes it in under 2 minutes.

Skelda makes an F2 with pants. He says he would love to be with IPS, but is not sure if it will work since kdowns leaving is bad for them.

Hectic tells Xof he's in a groupchat with 3 people. He then votes for skelda even though everyone else is voting for kdowns. Kdowns votes for Xof.

Winnie has made alliances with skelda and pants, but wants to F2 with Hectic.

Kdowns goes back to playing call of duty and is voted off.

Round 5: F9

Status of F2 arrangements:

Maybe menno-george but it hasn't come up in a while.

Hectic tells Xof that Hectic/Skelda/Winnie are in a group chat.

An alliance of Pants/skelda/IPS/winnie has formed.

Pants plants to vote off Hectic and Phantom, claiming to be allied with everyone else.

IPS reveals a second version of this alliance exists but with Hectic instead of pants.

Pants makes a lot of playful jabs at skelda in the public chats.

Three people incorrectly guess that Aronis said "Women are nothing but machines for producing children".

Winnie wins immunity, beating out xof and skelda by two points, despite never speaking to aronis before. Her strategy is cited as "i have no clue who you are as a person so i just let my heart say when it was time to say yes or no <3 <3"

Votes roll in quickly for Phantom, who seems to be on the outs given how little they have been mentioned in other people's confessionals.

Hectic confirms he is in an alliance with Skelda/Winnie/IPS. He says he's afraid of Skelda, who seems like a "power manipulator".

Xof says phantom has stopped talking to people, and votes for her.

Xof says Menno's purpose in the game is to make rocks happen.

The major groups in the game seem to be Xof/Pants/Menno/GB and Skelda/Winnie/Hectic/IPS, with the overlapping Skelda/Winnie/IPS/Pants group.

Phantom is voted out unanimously, seemingly afk'd out of the game.

Spoiler: Episode 6/F8

Round 6: F8

A second challenge scandal involving Georgebailey takes place, giving Hectic immunity.

Hectic, who is now immune, is the one person pants said he wanted to target last round.

IPS unveils his "Iprobablysuckblood" strategy, which is to parasite off skelda as long as possible then cut him.

Menno casts the first vote, which is for Winnie.

The stage is set for a conflict between the major groups Xof/Pants/Menno/GB and Skelda/Winnie/Hectic/IPS.

The George Baily protection squad begins placing votes for Winnie.

Winnie answers back with a menno vote.

IPS stands up for her ally Winnie and votes menno.

Winnie is unhappy about being called a challenge threat when she is on mobile.

Pants flips on the GB protection squad to the previously mentioned Skelda/Winnie/Pants/IPS group and votes out menno 5-3.

Spoiler: Episode 7/F7

Round 7: F7

Xof reveals that pants told her she was switching last round. She cites menno's obsession with rocks as the reason he was voted off.

Hectic wins the math challenge and gets immunity for a second round.

IPS is the first to report, saying it's between xof/george. These are the two left people that don't have a 4man alliance with the IPS/Skelda/Winnie trio. Pants and Hectic are the +1 to two different alliances of that group.

George, Pants, and Xof all place votes for Winnie.

Pants and IPS appear to be in the middle of the game, flipping between the GB protection club and the hectic/skelda/winnie group.

Hectic, Winnie and Skelda vote for Xof. Hectic calls xof terrifying.

Hectic worries cracks might start to form in his alliance. This is what is known as foreshadowing.

Skelda ponders flipping on Winnie, but thinks she can be voted out later.

Xof talks to IPS and tries to get his vote.

IPS pulls the trigger for him, and casts the 4th vote for winnie, sending her to jury 4-3. Xof is surprised to be alive.

Spoiler: Episode 8/F6

Round 8: F6

Lovely Awoo, Malkon, and Vash are chosen to judge the poetry competition. Another challenge scandal breaks out, this time not involving george, when pants posts poetry in the confessional.

IPS suspects that hectic is angry at him for flipping on his ally Winnie. Hectic describes this outcome as inevitable.

IPS considers dragging george to endgame for being inactive.

A new alliance forms! IPS/xof/Pants/GB as pants said he just shuffled all his alliances together.

Pants amkes an F3 with skelda and IPS, and an F2 with IPS. His plan is Hectic -> Skelda/Xof.

IPS, upon realizing this is an F3, does not want to endgame with it, since he thinks he's unable to beat them.

Contreversy breaks out between the judges as to if GeorgeBailey or Pants made the better poem.

Xof and Hectic vote for skelda, but all the rest of the votes are for hectic.

Hectic plays his idol, much to the delight of pants, who wanted to see skelda idoled out. Sadly, it didn't work, since hectic had no idol.

Spoiler: Episode 9/F5

Round 9: F5

Kareoke takes place in the voice chat. Xof wins immunity.

To the specs, it seems like skelda will go home, but then IPS, Skelda, and Pants vote off GeorgeBailey.

IPS makes the statement that he's worried about being cut before f3, and voting out GB guarentees him a spot in f3.

According to Xof, a mentality has formed against the newbies one the grounds that juries love newbies.

A few sidenotes:

- Xof gets a 5 in the Hectic and GeorgeBailey TCs despite voting with the eliminated player because they told me that they knew about the vote but voted this way for jury management (much the same way you score someone for voting in fear of an idol).
- I scored the FTC as a 7-player jury because I didn't want to penalize the finalists for a juror not voting.
- Pants enters the FTC with the best record I've ever seen at

I think vote splitting for an idol and voting with an ally who you know is going home anyway is a little different. I don't think strategically voting in the minority in that way should necessarily be punished by the system, but if you are saying that still earns someone a 5, I think that represents a large percentage of minority votes. Minority votes where the person knows they are in the minority and is choosing to vote that way anyway as a statement to express their preference or out of loyalty or for Jury management or what have you are extremely common, and I think are different than split votes, where you vote for someone who isn't the person you want eliminated because of idol concerns. Often with those kind of intentional minority votes, you are voting for the person you want eliminated even though you know they won't be.

I'm not sure if Xof wanted GB and Hectic eliminated over me if they had the choice in this game, but I assumed they wanted me gone certainly over GB if they had their way, so to me that's not the same as splitting a vote, but it's okay because I like strategic minority voting, I just think the system doesn't necessarily acknowledge all instances of it.
