vote: GreenLiquid
. My guess is that the leader may have the chance to betray us for an immunity, and GreenLiquid doesn't need immunities from what I've read.

Yoshi! :D

And guys, please don't try to fake the traitor by screwing over tasks, you barely got enough stars in both TT1 and TT2...

You mean TT1? That was Guardian I believe, and GreenLiquid scored perfect scores on the first three tests (but missed the next one). I'm expecting the "immunity or stars" test of loyalty here.

I suspect BB may have earlier planned for 30 people to play this game, thus a majority would be 16.

Let's bandwagon GL before he can speak!

It's even less potentially damaging than a 23 townie 1 SK setup, since the leader can't make themselves do the tasks...

To me, informed decision = reaching a decision. I'm also worried about sabotage on purpose and GL seemed unlikely to do such a thing. It's a good choice.

Chelseafan, is your number 77 or 38.5? I'm guessing it's 77, so here is me modifying the list (change it back if I'm just being a smart ass):

Positive(+)
Yoshi:
1

Sonic: 3.14159
Pokemon Trainer:
Young Link:42
Pit:
(Olimar: )x 2:
(Lucario: )x 2:
Link:
Luigi:
Pikachu: 66
Falco:
Donkey Kong:
Captain Falcon: 23
Jigglypuff: 42

Negative(-)
(Fox: ) x 2:
(Snake: 77) x 2: 154

Peach: 13
Ness:
Mr. Game & Watch:
Ice Climber: 42
Kirby: 77
King Dedede:
Lucas: 10
Diddy Kong: 57
Bowser:

It's *2 because your number was reduced twice in the equation.

I'm not bothered about PEG taking the heart container. It's to be expected. But we should also expect not to have enough stars; the past two games tell us that much at least. Clearly, PEG is very satisfied with what he has seen of our group's ability.

My information:
1. Diddy Kong
(Lawrencelot)
need to send Meta the favorite item of Donkey Kong
(charter)
.
2. My favorite item has been sent to Pikachu (Wizardcat)
3. Here's a list of who needs to send Meta the favorite item of whom:

PEG: SSF --> scigatts
hascow: Wizardcat --> Litral
(someone): hascow --> ssf
Flash: cybele --> Lawrencelot
klebian: Flameaxe --> MafiaSSK
MafiaSSK: Gamma --> SensFan
Cybele: Litral --> farside22
Lawrencelot: Flashstorm --> Flameaxe
Chelseafan: UROE --> Moonie
Litral: Lawrencelot --> charter

The first name is "who said that", the second name is "who needs to send it", and the last name is "whose item". This is just to discourage wanton sabotage...

Current list of item sending.

PEG: SSF --> scigatts
hascow: Wizardcat --> Litral
(someone): hascow --> ssf
Flash: cybele --> Lawrencelot
klebian: Flameaxe --> MafiaSSK
MafiaSSK: Gamma --> SensFan
Cybele: Litral --> farside22
Lawrencelot: Flashstorm --> Flameaxe
Chelseafan: UROE --> Moonie
Litral: Lawrencelot --> charter
farside: Scitgatt --> Porochaz
SSF: Pickem --> Wizardcat
bird: Moonie --> klebian
GL: JDodge --> PMG
charter: Iron Man --> flashstorm
Flameaxe: klebian --> UROE
Gamma: MafiaSSK --> JDodge
UROE: Chelseafan --> Iron Man
Iron Man: charter --> hascow

Farside, the current pattern tells me most likely only I need to send in your item.

Can the person who told hasdgfas to send in SSF's favorite item stand up please?

We're lacking 6 claims of item-sending, I believe.

No, I don't think PEG getting one makes sense. He's taught us he's capable of dicking around if pissed off. We can't guarantee we'll do everything according to His Majesty's exact wishes from now on. His best argument is "Since I've already been mean enough, I can't possibly be mean from now on." That's like a mass murderer saying he's killed enough people to ensure he'll be the most productive member of society ever.

Thats a horrible analogy... really. I would like PEG to be in as his incentive to dick around is low compared to everyone elses. There is no way he can be eliminated at the quiz so has no need to try and make people think its him. PEG is the best bet for someone not taking the free pass, PEG is the best bet at having someone not dick around. If he dicks around some more then fine you can be pissed at me too, but I want him doing a puzzle.
Remember, the other solo missions occur in the following rounds.

JDodge, deadline is August 19 7 PM GMT, which is about 13 hours later.

I have double checked the list right from everyone's posts that stated their favourite numbers. The list is correct; nothing was "lost"... I have also checked the list to see if it's a proper translation of the equation. It is.

Since Fox's number doesn't count, the list should sum up somewhat like this, x being your favourite number:

Positive(+)

(565.14159 + 2x)

Negative(-)

(478)

Of course, I offer no guarantees that I am not the traitor.

Also, BB posts the right numbers at the end, I believe.
I think I've seen BB post this game two or three times and the players never got it right (once in TT2, once/twice in some sort of Survivor game).

It's because some numbers are calculated twice, farside. I just checked, everyone's number is correct.

And assuming JDodge's is 42 would net us 173.14159.

I think something is wrong though, double checking.

Sorry, assuming Jdodge's is 42 would net us 123.14159. SSF, you missed the fact that Fox's 24 is also calculated.

@farside: Well what can I say, BB wanted to confuse us.

Okay, to summarize: Everyone told their favourite number entirely truthfully. The calculations were correct (2x+39.14159). SSF guessed JDodge's was 42 but forgot to take into account -48 from Fox, so he got 171.14159.

Falco, Fox, Link, Mr. Game & Watch, and Pokemon Trainer did not send in a submission.

Blackberry, I'm not a visitor. Yoshi Elder is buddies with me. Can I not post question marks? :D

I have thought up a plan so that we may tackle Task One easier. Post this: "??" at the top without anything else. Once that becomes a trend, it will be much easier to follow (because you'll be reminded of it whenever you see any post).

SSF is right.

Ways one could slip:
1) Quick replying
2) Swearing at someone
3) Posting while drunk
4) Making a joke
5) Being the evil traitor?
etc. etc. etc.

I'm just hoping the question mark at the top is weird and unusual enough to remind you at all times we are now experiencing the evil fun of Task One.

We should follow charter's plan for now. I won't be posting until Task Two appears.

The last bob-omb wouldn't be there if Cybele bolded his statement. Please do so, Cybele.

I vote: LlamaFluff rolls a dice to determine who among those who have not rescued gets the exemption.

Petey Piranha Pow-Posting People, hurry up.

I don't think voting makes sense. It's not like any of us have actually earned stars (except SSF, but then again he lost some too), so the only real benefit is to vote someone who you think is the traitor (so no one really gets the exemption), but obviously we're not going to do that.

A six-sided dice.

1. Bowser (farside22)
2. Donkey Kong (charter)
3. Fox (orangepenguin)
4. Kirby (Scitgatt)
5. Pikachu (Wizardcat)
6. Snake (Chelseafan)

Everyone agrees to it completely. No regrets. If you still hold out after the dice doesn't roll your way, you're definitely not getting the exemption nor getting us stars, because the person who got lucky would never give up their exemption with such conditions.

Noo! My fellow Yoshi(s)! I will avenge thee!

I have a sneaking suspicion that task eleven follows the TT name list - so that WO + RD = WORD.

Bowser (farside22)
Donkey Kong (charter) - MO
Ice Climbers (klebian) - WO
Jigglypuff (hasdgfas) - RD
King Dedede (somestrangeflea)
Kirby (Scitgatt) - PA
Link (Porochaz)
Lucario (MafiaSSK)
Lucas (LlamaFluff) - IC
Ness (SensFan)
Pikachu (Wizardcat)
Sonic (Iron Man/skitzer)
Yoshi (Litral)

Then again I can't think of a four letter word ending in MO and making sense in our context.

I'm not posting mine until I figure out it doesn't say "you'll get stars if you don't post your info in the thread".

Heck I'm happy enough with 12 stars.

Next door:
Get 2 stars chance = 11/14
Lose 12 stars chance = 3/14

So there's almost no gain from opening a door, not to mention someone could figure out the hint... (I tried, no luck).

Opening 3 more cells has a 55% chance of losing us all of our stars, while the 45% chance stands for only gaining 6 stars. Not worth it at all.

Oh well. SSF got us some stars, then farside decided we didn't really need stars.

LlamaFluff, if you choose me for the solo mission, I will get the stars to the best of my ability. You have my guarantee. I pegged it on the exchange market against a Pooky guarantee at 1:1 value, so yeah, it's valuable!

To the seven of you who don't know what the hell is going on, someone using the Iceman account sent a PM to me, Porochaz, SSF, Scit, Sens, and charter, asking us to post what Sens just did and receive an exemption at a cost of 20 stars.

Now if Blackberry actually sent that, he would've first of all also noticed that we've finished task eleven, so he would update the thread; second, there's no reason to use the Iceman account; third, the traitor shouldn't be allowed to do this, but there is no sign they can't, unless the six of us aren't traitors, which would be a huge tip-off; fourth, this sort of thing is unprecedented in TT games; fifth, the spelling in the PM is pretty bad, doesn't seem to be up to BB's usual standard.

Interesting. The words without a are:

Cell
Encounter
Hill
Killer
Lick
Liquid
Mission
Moon
Night
Only
Quit
Solid
Stud
Trust

But only at most 6 of them are correct (if alaska and alliance are both in).

Assuming neither alaska nor alliance is correct, only 3 of those words are correct.

One of them is either liquid or quit, considering q.

Considering s, base, island, solid, stud and trust are all correct if mission is not correct, but this is impossible as now there are 4 words correct in the above list, so mission must be correct, and one among solid, stud and trust is correct.

Then the following words must be incorrect:

Cell
Encounter
Hill
Killer
Lick
Moon
Night
Only

However, then there is no word that contains h, so we have a contradiction. This means that at least one of alaska and alliance is correct.

.... tiny conclusion, but anyway...

SSF: You missed alliance in the l series.

SSF: You missed dead and deal in the a list...

... the deadline is 2 hours later.

I find it justified for me to do this. I have my logic below:

If ALASKA is not correct, alliance must be correct:

7 more words from:
Agent
Angry
Army
Car
Dead
Deal
Gear
Island
Liar
Metal
Mountain
Traitor

ONE: Alliance
ONE: Ball, base, break
ONE: Liquid, quit
ONE: hill or night
Suppose BREAK is correct, then base and ball are not correct; we need at least THREE other words, including mission, from the s series. There is a contradiction.
Suppose Break is then not correct, and suppose further base is correct, we still need TWO other words from the s series. There are at least fourteen words.

This means that Alaska is most likely correct.

I'm going to look for the rest of them...

By the way, what I did was count the number of words that had to be formed if alaska was not formed. 7 words with a would have to be formed (two given to alliance and one given to either base/ball/break), etc. This would eventually result in at least 14 words having to be formed in order to satisfy certain letters (maybe 15 or 16 if I consider everything)

Might have counted wrong of course...

I
think
I just proved that mission is also in there if alaska is in there.

This is what I wrote down as I thought.

SUPPOSE: MISSION IS INCORRECT
THEN: Base, island, solid are all correct (s)
ONE of stud and trust is correct, the other is incorrect (s)
BALL is incorrect (b)
ENCOUNTER is incorrect, MOUNTAIN is incorrect (u)
METAL, ARMY, MOON are thus all correct (m)
ANGRY and ONLY are thus incorrect (y)
TRAITOR is incorrect (o)
QUIT, METAL, AGENT, NIGHT are all correct (t)
HILL is incorrect (h)
GEAR is incorrect (g)
Not enough R

More thinking, if alaska and mission are both correct.

If MOON is correct,
ENCOUNTER, MOUNTAIN, ONLY, SOLID, TRAITOR are all incorrect (O)
AGENT, METAL, NIGHT, QUIT, (STUD OR TRUST) are all correct (T & U)
LIQUID is incorrect (Q)
ARMY is incorrect (M)
ANGRY is thus correct (Y)
Since ANGRY, AGENT, NIGHT all correct, 3 Gs.

Thus Moon is not correct.

Encounter would follow if alaska and mission is correct.

If: Encounter is incorrect,
SEVEN of those are correct, from the E list:
Agent
Alliance
Base
Cell
Dead
Deal
Gear
Metal

All of those words contain an "A". Since Alaska is correct, at most seven A's can be used. However, one of army and mountain must be correct if we consider the rest of the words with m, so only six A's can be used for those with e.

Eh, I might be entirely wrong, but at least I tried :/

Plus it took me an hour and a half to figure it out - and that's when I've suspected that alaska is correct for a while.

Llama, again, my guarantee I'll get stars to the best of my ability.

Wiz, I have enough info on my hands not to select "betrayal". I have sent in "Alliance" as my PM. So it's your call; do you want 6 stars or an exemption?

I
think
I know how to win the car racing thing.

TASK THIRTEEN: DOG CHASE

LOCATION: ONETT

It appears a couple of Skate Punks have lost their Runaway Dogs. Five of them in total. Each of you set out to find one of the dogs...

* Each of the teams will be given a riddle/pattern to solve. If you two solve the pattern you will rescue the Dog and earn 5 stars for the Team.

* The Punks will give you 5 stars to each pair if that team successfully finds a Runaway Dog.

* You will only get one guess between the two of you. Your guess most be posted in bold in the thread and BOTH players must agree on it. You will have 48 hours to complete this task once I send out the patterns. You may change your guess if both player have not locked in yet.

* Each person in each team will be given a seperate part of the pattern. You may NOT discuss your pattern in the thread or your specific team will be disqualified. You may discuss in private though.

* Once the deadline is up, I will no longer accept submissions.

POSSIBLE STARS: 25

Answer is s.

Go alliance. If you are one of us, you need more stars to actually win, definitely. Even if you are the traitor, you won't mind giving us a few stars and portraying someone else as the traitor, so you can stay hidden forever and thus win.

Proposal.
If someone refuses to dance on the stage, we give them no chance at all to receive an exemption next round. We betray them before they betray us, we don't send them on solo missions, etc.

Please agree to this proposal.

Well, our PMs are the same, then.

There seems to be a striking similarity between every two numbers. That is surely no coincidence. I tried crossing out all the same numbers.

23412431-2432147219: if you cross out "2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 4, 1" you will get "3-729"

2432147219-08470298471: 3212-08087

08470298471-29380471: 0847-3

29380471-290834: 71-(nothing)

290834-7132908: 4-71

7132908-4723198: 0-4

4723198-047231908: (nothing)-00

047231908-472319: 008-(nothing)

472319-80425: 7319-805

etc.

Doesn't seem like the right path, but at least worth considering. Maybe you're supposed to take the numbers that are the same.

I think it's the difficulty in re-editing 40 pages of red herrings out that's demotivating BB.

Since last time he disappeared, he was planning to edit 40 pages of red herrings in.

EDIT: Okay, I'm not watching this any more. Someone send me a message if BB comes back.

I request that you agree as soon as possible. 100 stars here is far more important than anything anyone has done in this game.

Okay, that's it. I don't see how Wizardcat will ever vote me, so the only option is this.

I elect Wizardcat.

Farside, has, please also elect Wizardcat. He may not deserve an exemption, but we don't deserve losing 100 stars either. This is the easiest 100 stars I have ever seen, and we're screwing them over.

Ehh... I hope we still have enough stars to win. It's barely above 50%. I think it's lower than 60%...

I figured Jigglypuff would also think that farside's gender was obvious, so the first question was easy... the second one was a lucky guess.

Thanks animopherv1 :D

Yay, I won :D Thanks, Blackberry, it's been great fun.

There's a question in BB's application that asked us what our general strategy would be. I answered that I would help as much as possible and not try to screw over the town in order to pretend to be a traitor. That I did.

There seems to be a general but somewhat inexplicable pattern that whomever screws with the town dies within a round or two. Maybe because they usually do it far more obviously than any traitor would dare to, so by eliminating themselves as a possible traitor they actually increase the winning chances of everyone else. Or maybe because no one trusts them any more, and having friends is useful in this game because you could share quizzes and do a bit of analysis to easily reduce the number of possible suspects.

I had an alliance with 5 people in it (charter, hascow, sensfan, bird and me); good relations with Wizardcat earlier on (quiz exchange... and this avvie :D); and Scitgatt helped me out with some quiz analysis. Most of us survived until the late game. Proof that discussion with trusted people helps.

I'm glad I managed to do that letters puzzle - the one with alaska - although I should've done it a bit earlier. That was the only task in which I really could've added stars to the team. The rest was mostly luck...

Eh, I got some of the questions wrong on purpose in some of the latter rounds because I still had doubts that it really was Bowser. She seemed... townie. I went with Sonic earlier. He was quiet enough to arouse a lot of suspicion.

Again, thanks for the game, BB, it's great, although it's been extended quite a bit.
