Welcome to The Mole

Hello everyone and welcome to The Mole. Twelve contestants will be chosen, one of which will be The Mole. The Mole's purpose is to secretly sabotage the group whilst remaining undetected in the process and this will earn money to their own pot. The other eleven contestants will all be trying to earn money for the group pot while also keeping an eye out for mole activity.

Throughout the game there will be nine episodes. Eight of these episodes will contain two tasks and an elimination quiz. Each of the tasks will be one of the following types:
1. One will be solely for making money for the pot
2. The second will be about making money for the pot but will also have either an exemption or quiz points up for grabs too. However, often this will result in losing money for the pot, so you will have to decide if it’s worth it or not.

Quiz Points:

Winning quiz points could mean the difference between staying and going in this game. The quiz points will add to your final quiz score for the episode and will give you a better chance at staying till the next.
Example: You win 2+ for the quiz. You score a 14 which becomes a 16.

Occasionally there will also be a bonus task during an episode which may both allow you to make money for the pot and or earn an exemption. It depends on the task, just letting you know they may pop up in the future.

At the end of each episode will be the elimination quiz, it is at this stage of the episode that quiz points and exemptions come into play. Unless you have an exemption, each contestant will be required participate in a quiz about The Mole’s identity. Whichever contestant knows the least about the Mole and their activities, (after quiz points have been used), will be eliminated immediately. After this event the next episode will begin.

The ninth episode will be the final one. There will be one last shot to earn money for the pot and then the final elimination quiz and of course the unmasking of The Mole. Do you have what it takes to last that long though?

Throughout the game there will be twists and turns and some players may get secret side missions and offers. So be prepared and trust no one.

Episode 1 – Welcome to the Mole

Ten contestants stand outside a remote cottage in the snow in an unknown location waiting for their host and hopefully the other contestant’s. It’s eerily quiet until you all hear the noise of the approaching helicopter. It’s hard to miss the red speck as it draws closer. However what is odd is that there is what looks like rope ladder hanging from it and holding the ladder is another smaller red speck. Like some sort of action hero the man jumps off of the ladder just in front of you and smiles as the helicopter flies away.

“Hello everyone, I’m Tom Williams and welcome to The Mole. At the moment we are down two contestants, I think they might have been eaten by a polar bear or something trivial like that but hopefully they will find their way. In the meantime we have no Mole or Moles which is a first for the show and should be interesting to see if it affects the game in the future. While we wait for them let’s get to the Bonus Task and if they don’t make it we will just have to continue the game without them, Moles and all….”

This will be interesting as The Mole(s) haven’t been chosen and you will all be working toward earning money for the pot. Maybe this task will help you pick out The Mole in the future, who knows but anyway lets begin.

Just as you’re all about to begin the bonus task and go inside a green helicopter appears in the distance and once again comes in the direction of the cottage. As it reaches the cottage it begins to hover a fair bit from the ground and that’s when Crazy is pushed off of it. Some angry yells can be heard from the helicopter as Crazy lands face down in the snow. Ouch. You all exchange shocked glances as the helicopter leaves and then all continue inside. I guess you found the 11th contestant but where is the 12th?

Hello all, now that we have all of our contestants we will get the game under way and get straight to Task 1 which is all about getting to know the other contestant’s. As you know, you have been sent a list of 10 questions to answer and to send back to me. But you can only share 5 of the 10 questions with the other contestant's and the catch is you won’t know which of your answers will be used.

After the icy day before, you all wake up toasty in your beds. Smiling at each other though secretly suspecting everyone, you all make pancakes together. How nice. That’s when you notice the new and strange contraption outside.

You all get rugged up and go outside to investigate. As you stand before it wondering what the task could possibly be your host, Tom Williams, suddenly appears.

Hello all and welcome back, lets get to the next task. This task is all about being ready and on your toes at all times. Your job as a group it to watch the crane over the next few days... Well, it’s not as easy as that. Throughout the time a ball will drop and one of you will have

in which to catch it in. There are three types of balls:

The Blue balls are the money earning balls; each of these is worth $5,000 when caught. There are 20 of these balls.

The Red balls are the money losing balls; each of these will lose you $5,000 when caught. There are 10 of these balls.

The Green ball is the exemption ball; this ball will give you an exemption in the upcoming execution.

You can’t see what colour the ball is before catching it so you will have to hope for the best. The total that can be won is

Also, upon reviewing the balls and such I think the Red Balls have been docked too much. As there is only half the amount compared to the Blue Balls and they are negatively worth less than half of the Blue Balls. So I would put to you that the Red Balls become -$5,000. I know you don’t really want the ability to lose more but do you think this is fair? As even if you catch all the Red Balls you will still make a fair amount for the pot. If you think this is understandable and fair please let me know and likewise if you don’t. This goes for the new time also.

Episode 2 – One Down and More to Follow

Previously on The Mole,
The contestants all got to a good start with the Bonus Task unfortunately missing The Godfather II and The Lion King cost the group a lot of money when it came to the order and a potential $50,000 became $20,000 really quick. Even getting 16 correct out of the 20 couldn’t save the Group Pot’s $16,000 which was shadowed by The Moles big $34,000.

The first part of Task 1 ran smoothly with everyone sharing their answers easily, the only hiccup was that animorpherv only shared two answers out of a possible five. Then came part two and what happened? All the shared answers are missing? Well luckily Juls had saved them all and shared with the group. With some getting all right and others all wrong and also failed and won double or nothing’s the Group Pot was once again much less compared to The Mole’s. Luckily the group redeemed themselves slightly when mykonian correctly answered the bonus question earning the group $4,000 and only putting them $5,000 behind The Mole in this task.

In Task 2 the contestant’s were up against a machine, a ball dropping machine. Many of you caught ball some of you caught none but all of you were hoping for Blue or the elusive Green Ball. Finally the last two balls were dropped and Juls won the exemption and PEG won the final $5,000 for The Group Pot bringing them literally 50/50 with The Mole.

The Episode ended with the Group Pot trailing The Mole’s by $23,000 and of course the first elimination. Flameaxe knew the least about The Mole’s identity and was sent home. Who will fall victim to The Mole next? Find out as Episode 2 begins…

After having a year’s worth of fun you all come back inside to have a break. Except the living room has now turned into a computer room, with eleven computers set up and Tom Williams in front of them.

Hello and welcome back, Flameaxe knew the least about the mole’s identity and so was kicked out. Who would have thought, lets hope you’re not the moles next victim. This task requires you to go hunting, picture hunting. Below is a list of descriptions of pictures you need to find on the internet. Be careful though, there are a few rules.

Rules:

1. You are only allowed to find one picture per category each.
2. You can only post one picture at a time and can’t post two in a row.
3. You can only post a maximum of 3 pictures each, as rule 1 suggests.
4. You must post in this format:
Category [#] [# & description] – all in the colour of the category
[picture]. If you do not post in the correct format your submission will not count.
5. New rule, you may not assist others in anyway when it comes to finding images. This includes hints. If this rule is broken you will lose the possible bonus.

You only get the chance to grab an extra jacket and boots before you are forced into the back area outside. Yes, JDodge has been taken away and buried in a special luxurious, air providing and heated coffin in the middle of a large patch of land. Also in this patch of land are three blue money chests, each worth

If no one finds the coffin, JDodge gets the exemption. Also, if the coffin is not found, you only make half of what you would have made. So finding the coffin should be high in your priorities.
