Reality Show X is a competition to determine who truly is the ultimate reality show contestant; you will face numerous trials and tribulations on your way to your 15 minutes of fame. Several will try. Only one can win.

Right to Stay

The right to stay competition is very simple. There are several ropes, each of which is suspended over water. You must hang on for as long as you can. The last 20 contestants still in the game after this will move on to week two.

ACTUAL CHALLENGE:

You each have 1,000 effort points to expend on this challenge. This challenge will be three rounds. The players who spend the least effort on each round will be eliminated. The player with the most effort remaining at the end of this challenge will earn the right to pick first when we begin picking teams, as well as an advantage in week two.

With interest waning, and the few applications I have been getting in coming from personal invites, applications are now

. I am removing the Amazing Race round (it wasn't that good anyways) in favour of another, undisclosed round to come later. The game will begin sometime between now and midnight EST tonight.

The eighteen contestants were set loose upon their ropes, dangling precariously above the open ocean. At stake? The right to be the first to pick at the team picking ceremony later that evening. They were to hold on as long as they can.

Just seven minutes in, our first contestant fell off of his rope. It was singing "sensation" Sanjaya, granting him 18th in the challenge. Next to drop was Danielle roughly 10 minutes in; 5 minutes later, Jade fell from her rope. Dorothy fell another 5 minutes after. Another 5 minutes pass. Steven and Yau-man fall from their ropes. 12 contestants remained hanging.

Another agonizing wait. Richard falls. Then Terri. Then Sada. They're dropping like flies, only more dramatically and with a larger splash. Sierra can't hold on any longer. Right as she hits the water, Sebastiaan falls in to join her. Mere seconds later, Rupert joins the group in the briny sea.

Just 6 people remain on the ropes. Midget Mac falls next. It's a while before our next contestant, Brendan, claims 5th. Jonathan falls mere moments before Kathy. It's down to just Adrianne and April...

Someone splashes down into the water. Adrianne curses as she stumbles out of the ocean. April soon joins her, having won. They are all instructed to walk up to a luxurious house by the beach...

Hello, I am Jon Kelley, and I will be your host. You are here to compete for large sums of money and perhaps a few life lessons. Over the next couple of months, you will be competing in both physical and mental challenges based on various reality shows in the hopes of earning the grand prize.

The Bed Battle

In this challenge, players from each team will face each other in a battle on a bed suspended over water. You will each be armed with those padded stick things. Your choices for each round are to attack fiercely, attack normally or evade. Attacking fiercely beats attacking normally. Attacking normally beats evading. Evading beats attacking fiercely. The team that wins the most matches wins the challenge. The losing team will head to the vault, where they will select three people to nominate for elimination. It is now that I wish to tell you that the Green Team and the Gold team are no more! You will be shuffled into two entirely new teams. Yet again, two people are in charge of this swap; these captains have been picked based on performance in the Majority Rules challenge, with a random tiebreaker being used. Danielle, you are the captain from the Green Team. Since Adrianne and Sanjaya have both captained the Gold Team before, Rupert has been chosen as captain from the Gold Team. Welcome, players, to your first immunity challenge. This challenge is quite simple at first glance, but there is a twist. There are 21 flags sitting here in the sand. You will take turns removing 1-3 flags from the sand. The tribe that removes the last flag wins immunity. The twist is that you may not take the same number of flags twice in a row; for example, if you take 3 on your tribe's first turn, you may only take 1 or 2 on your tribe's second turn. In addition, the winning tribe will have the opportunity to send one member of the opposing tribe to send to Exile Island, thus preventing them from participating in the next Tribal Council. One night, Sarah decided to venture off into the forest to try out her new spells.

She knew how to make fireworks that sparkled.
She also knew how to make trees into castles.

While she was in the forest, she ran into a bunny. Sarah was always told that bunnies and kittens were not supposed to play with one another because they were too different.

The bunny hopped over to Sarah, "My name is Billy, who are you? Would you like to be friends?"

Sarah frowned, "Why are you talking to me? I am a kitten and you are a bunny. We are not supposed to be friends. Leave me alone or I'll turn you into a banana!"

Billy looked sad, "But why can't we be friends? Just because we look different doesn't mean we can't play together."

Sarah was scared, so she swung her wand and turned Billy into a banana!

On her way back home, Sarah thought about what she had done. Maybe the bunny was right. Maybe they could be friends. What did it matter if they looked different?

Sarah walked back up to the banana and swung her wand.

"Sorry!" she said to Billy the instant he turned back into a bunny, "I think you are right. We can still be friends even if we look different. Will you forgive me?"

Billy looked scared for a moment. But he smiled and said, "Yes, I would love to be your friend, as long as you promise not to turn me into a banana ever again!"

Harry Barker

Harry hated school.

He hadn’t always hated school, he used to love it. Back when he was young, Harry was always the first to arrive at school, the last to leave, and always asked for extra work. Harry was a model student. All that changed when Harry turned six.

When Harry turned six, he had to go to a new school. Hyena education only went until they turned six, as do most animals. After that, the smart students went on to a broader school, with different kinds of animals. Harry was always told he was really nice, sweet, and caring. And having been brought up in the hyena’s grounds, he had no idea of the racism to come...

Harry arrived at school the first morning and was shocked. No one wanted to talk to him, no one wanted to sit near him. Even the teacher, Akela, a massive wolf, seemed distant with him. The day, which he had been looking forwards to for a long time, seemed to drag on and on. When the class was finally dismissed for the day, Harry headed home.
As he was leaving, he heard a voice calling after him. It was Bruiser, the four-pound bunny. Everyone had seemed cold and distant towards Harry, but Bruiser was the one person that was actually mean to him. All day he had been making fun of Harry, teasing him about everything from his breath to the scar on his forehead. “At least,” thought Harry, as he got home, “it’s only Bruiser.”

As the days dragged by, things got worse and worse for Harry. The other animals were following Bruiser’s lead, and he was being teased more and more with every passing day. Harry didn’t understand, why was he hated just for being a Hyena? It didn’t make sense to him, it’s not like all hyenas were as evil and mean as the ones in the Lion King...
As the weeks and months passed, Harry was fed up. He couldn’t take the constant abuse anymore, and so, one day, he decided not to go to school. He ran off, instead, into the nearby forest. He quickly lost track of time, playing in the forest, and before he knew it, it was dark. He had been in the forest for hours. He couldn’t remember how to get out, he didn’t know what he was going to do. He walked around for hours and hours, until finally, exhausted, he fell asleep.

When Harry woke up, he couldn’t move. He felt trapped, and didn’t know why. As he woke up more and paid more attention, he saw that the tree he fell asleep under had fallen overnight. He called out, but no one seemed to hear him. He spent hours calling louder and louder, but still no response. Finally, his voice went hoarse and he gave up, hoping he would eventually be found...

That night, Harry couldn’t believe his bad luck. The first person to have walked by all day, and it was Bruiser. He heard Bruiser muttering something about Harry, and he couldn’t stand it. He was on the verge of calling out, yelling at him. Then he heard Bruiser more clearly.

“As much as I tease Harry at school, he hasn’t missed a single day all year. I really hope he’s okay. As much as I hate to admit it, I actually am starting to like him. I never thought I’d say it, but he’s actually a really cool guy. I think I’ll ask him to play with us tomorrow.”

We've made our decision. Net Worth, your story was not quite as well written as Mosaic's, but we feel you did a better job of reaching your target audience. Mosaic, we feel your story was too complex for younger children, yet the animal motif was too dumbed-down for older children. In addition, we were put off by the lack of a cohesive ending.
