I think the Jury/merge arguement is silly in a forums survivor. It's not like we're on seperate beaches unable to communicate.
Where I come from(watching the tv show) Merge almost allways happens at 10/9 survivors left, and jury allways starts at 9. It was a win on an earlier reward challenge that had crazy(i think) pick to start the jury so early right?

It's really early for a survivor game though, coming as someone whose watched alot of the original show, like alot.
It also seems like, down the road, it would be a bad meta for forum survivor games to have a really early merge because it would encourage voting off the strongest challenge performers since there would be very little consequences with an early merge.

I like the idea that there's a team dynamic for a while, and then it builds into an individual game, that's why I like the show survivor more than the show big brother too


I just searched through shadowlurkers posts to find the merge descision thing, so you were able to choose between a final 2 or a final 3 (which you don't have to reveal), and the number of jury members. You chose somewhere in the Higher margine (I don't want to bother to go count now).

Final 3 changes the game way too much, I agree. It's not so bad when you have one useless person like Becky there, and it's basically a final 2 of Ozzy and Yul.
But when you get situations where there's 3 people who could all potentially win, it throws off the whole dynamic of what the final jury vote should be like.

I also have the horrible feeling that Mark Burnett is pushing things like even numbered Jury and Final 3's down our throat because he wants there to be a tie at some point, just so he can draw purple rocks on the finale.

some difference though, I don't like any luck element. I like the idea that anyone could get eliminated if there's a tie, so it discourages tie's and encourages flipping, but I'd rather everyone had to compete in some form of skill based challenge to see who get's eliminated. Kind of like the fire tie breakers, but involving everyone.
And not building fire because that's boring.

Nah, frankly if you'd been following this game, you'd know how seriously I take this by my challenge performance, how much time I was willing to sink into longterm challenges, the jury deffinatly knows this. Many of the Jury also know how active I was talking to people each tribal council about votes and what we should do. The jury knows I take this Serious.
I still want to win, but I'm not going to act nice to

person who I feel is not acting like a very nice person. One could even argue this is a sensible strategy for winning right?

Reasons why:

It pretty much would gaurentee a vote from the person who was being picked on by crywolfe, so it's a 1 for 1.

If there are more people like me on the jury, they'd have more respect for someone who doesn't suck up to someone who is being a bully, so that'd be more votes.

The rest of jury knows I was being completly genuine with them because of my clear honesty here, where as they don't know if everyone else who was sucking up to everyone was genuine to them.

You see what I mean drench?

Edit: It's also a fact that if crywolf is voting based on who she likes instead of gameplay, she was never going to vote for me anyway so there's doubly no point in sucking up to her.
