(there's a summary at the bottom for the lazy ones who don't want to read)
Hello, jurors. First of all, I’d like to thank you guys for playing this game with me. Bahamas has been very fun and important to me, and while I know some of you didn’t care for it all too much, I hope you were able to have some fun during it as well.
Regardless of how much it will change things, I’d still like to give a proper FTC performance. This is my first time making it this far, and I’m very excited to go through this process. I’ll start by describing the events of this game from my eyes. Then, I’ll summarize the points of the game that show why I deserve to win. Feel free to skip to the summary and use the description for reference; the description will probably include unnecessary detail.
Without further ado, let’s begin.
My strategy at the very beginning, honestly, was to wing it with conversations and scope out potential alliances. It wasn’t anything complicated, but it worked out pretty well; I was involved in the making of two major alliances that appeared almost simultaneously. First, there was an alliance of well-known veterans between xofelf, Crazy, TBO, and myself. We played a huge part in early play, as I will explain in a second. However, I knew that going with this alliance probably wouldn’t wouldn’t give me the best chances of winning the game. xof was a big threat to me in particular because she has the tendency to pick up loyal allies easily, and I didn’t see myself winning the game with her running the show. So, I created a second alliance between CC, Mist, Mhork, and myself. While I considered this alliance weaker in strength, this is the alliance I ultimately wanted to go to the end with.
Other than those alliances forming, pre-tribal phase wasn’t entirely special. I was able to form small relationships with DoctorPepper, Xalxe, and mykonian, but other than getting Xalxe on board with the Nich vote during TC 8 later on, these never amounted to anything. There was one big game-changing event during the early game, though, and it was the tribe pick. Since TBO won one of the leader spots, he brought tribe picking up for discussion with our alliance. We decided to do the picking as a team. However, I convinced them (without much effort really) to let me make the official draft for the tribes - and it was based on what would give BOTH of my alliances the greatest advantages. My stronger alliance wanted to split up, which worked with my plans; I could put my entire weaker alliance on one tribe so that they could all survive, and it would ensure a majority on my tribe, keeping me alive until at least merge. This was a major advantage to my game. I originally came up with this:
…but Banakai had other plans. Still, things worked out according to plan, and the tribes were still mostly my creation.Tribe Draft wrote:TBO
xof
Nich
myko
Nyalite
Xalxe
JDGA
DP
kdowns

Klick
Crazy
Mhork
CC
Mist(xof/TBO, as you can see, the list was ordered this way in the QT for a reason)
PEG
chesskid
Flame
Shortly after the tribes were formed, I realized I was going to run into trouble down the line if neither of my alliances knew about the other. I also fully trusted CC and knew that he was a very strong, underestimated player. I offered CC a deal to the end before the first challenge, and he accepted. This was an incredibly strong alliance. I was able to tell him details about basically everything in the game, and we bounced ideas off of each other easily. Throughout the game, I’ve considered him to be my closest ally.
Because of the previous planning I’d done, tribal phase was incredibly simple. I was never even close to being in danger. However, I began to doubt Mhork in our alliance because he was showing resistance to the JDGA vote. JDGA hadn’t really done anything at all concerning Bahamas, so I was worried that he’d stray away from us if we needed to vote out someone he liked in the future. I was having ideas of voting out xof sometime after JDGA in the tribal phase (although I eventually decided against it), and Mhork might not be the biggest fan of that. Around the same time, chesskid and I started talking more. I found out that he was actually trying to play decently this game - and he was succeeding. He brought up suspicion of xof being manipulative himself without any nudging from me, and we coordinated an alliance - he suggested that he would talk to CC while I try to get Mist, Mhork, or PEG. I I got to CC before he did as per our Final Two deal, and we eventually decided on an alliance of me, him, CC, and Mist. That is where your Final Four originated.
Mhork slowly fell out of our original alliance and was replaced by chesskid. Meanwhile, Crazy got voted out of Taino due to losing interest. xof and I talked, and we decided to “replace” Crazy with CC, since we were both close to him. This kinda worked out perfectly because it put both CC and myself in powerful alliances, ensuring that we’d have at LEAST a majority of six come merge.
Merge came along, and I was set up perfectly to get to the end. There was a very simple way to get there: I could have easily had a FTC with xof and TBO just by sticking with them. We had everything set up. xof was talking to Nich and suggesting that they’d run the game together, and they set up an “alliance” of six with xof, Nich, TBO, CC, myko, and myself. It wasn’t really an alliance, but those were the people that would know about the vote. However, that would have likely led to xof winning the game. She controlled everything involved with Nich and myko. Plus, I wanted to go to the end with my other alliance, and I didn’t want CC just being voted out at F4 there. So, I started planning for a Nich vote down the line.
I consider the F10 vote to be the highlight of my game. I was able to keep Mist and chesskid out of the spotlight (and both names were brought up, Mist moreso) while redirecting attention towards a Taino. However, I knew that, following the current plan, Nyalite, Xalxe, Mist, and chesskid were outside of the current group. In addition, Nich/TBO (I forget which one >_<) wanted both Mist and chesskid gone after a single Taino vote. That meant I needed to grab a fifth player to work with us by F9. Fortunately, xof, TBO, Nich and I had basically compromised on a Xalxe vote long before TC, and Xalxe already figured he was on bottom, so I went to him and gathered his vote for later. Then, I used my influence on the vote to have xof switch the target from Xalxe to Nyalite.
My original plan from there was to vote out Nyalite, and then flip with my alliance and Xalxe. But Nyalite was told that she was the target and that she was just kinda screwed… so she went to me. She already knew that I was the one that made her vote happen, but I guess I was kinda her last hope. We managed to make an actual alliance out of this, and I flipped Nya over to our side to vote Nich out at F10.
Shortly after the Nich vote, I kinda broke down and felt bad for flipping on xof and TBO. >_< I really did feel bad for going against them, even though I knew it was necessary in order to have a better chance of winning. This was the weak point of my game. I told xof a bit too much information and fell into a state of basically wanting her to win for about twenty-four hours. However, I feel that this wasn’t entirely bad because it contributed to xof siding with me against TBO.
Speaking of TBO, he wasn’t as okay as xof was after the Nich vote. He went to Nya and talked to her about a plan to get CC and I out. He also told her about my alliance with TBO, xof, and CC. However, Nya wanted to go to the end with me, so she said that she didn’t mind and would help get rid of TBO. We also talked xof into voting TBO with us (after them first trying to convince TBO to let me live until F5, then go for me). In order to stop TBO from flipping chesskid or Mist, I told them about the alliance between me, xof, TBO, and Crazy, but I told them that it was something that happened a long time ago and meant nothing. That way, if TBO talked to one of them, he wouldn’t be telling them anything new. Something worth mentioning here is that TBO initially targeted CC instead of me, but CC got immunity, leading to the only time in the game that I was seriously targeted.
So, the TBO vote passed. The rest of merge was pretty much a blur. I suggested votes to xof and Nya, they just kinda went with it. CC and I talked to Mist and chess… they just kinda went with it. I had full control at that point. I did win the last three challenges, but I’m positive I wasn’t getting voted off anyway - I just stopped Nya and chesskid from staying. So… yeah, that’s the story of Bahamas. (I have a feeling this ending would be cooler if it weren’t 1 AM)
In summary, here are the things I’ve done that, in my opinion, make me deserving of the title of Sole Survivor:
- I managed two major alliances throughout the first half of the game in order to ensure my own safety until and during Merge
- I basically picked the tribes myself, and I picked them in a way that gave a large advantage to both of my alliances
- I was the dominant player in the F2 alliance of Klick and CC, making most of the decisions but still not being threatened any more than he was, as evidenced by the F9 vote
- I was able to maintain trust with my allies, both those who were right in trusting me (CC, Mist, and chesskid) and those who were wrong (Mhork, xof, and Nya)
- I controlled most of the events in the F10 and F9 votes, the most difficult and important votes of the game
- Despite being widely considered the largest threat in the game, I was only seriously targeted once
- I called the shots in every single vote I participated in

Xalxe wrote:Okay so first of all, if any of you try to dodge questions at FTC I'll fuck up your shit so don't do it.
I want each of you to go through the Jurors and name one thing about each of them that really pisses you off.Nich:The fact that he felt like he could just make a quick plan with xof and skate to the end pisses me off. I actually have a gif for this:
The lady is Nich, the mascot is xof, and they're running into TC 8.
TBO:He's the only person that seriously targeted me, and if he would have gone about it a bit better, he might have pulled it off. I'm pissed off because he put himself into a position where I had to vote him out, because I didn't really want to.
Xalxe:It pisses me off that you're asking a question designed to have us upset the jurors.
myko:He pissed me off by being so passive throughout the game. It almost felt like myko was spectating this game to me. We had conversations about it, but I felt like I had to push him to think about his next step.
xof:It pissed me off when she basically told me that she was picking the lesser of two evils by siding with me. She seemed sincere when she said she still wanted to work with me, but not even a day later, she made it pretty clear that she would have voted for me with TBO if she could win that way.
Nya:She pissed me off by putting me in a position where I'd have to backstab her in the future. >_< She told me that she was trying to work with me to the end when she was talking about TBO's plan. That put a lot of guilt on me, because I knew that I was eventually going to be voting Nya out.
chesskid:He pissed me off by making F4 an issue if he won the challenge. He suggested that whoever won the F4 challenge should just choose who went home. If he won, I was afraid he'd pick me or CC, forcing us to somehow make a Mist vote happen. We'd probably have to have convince Mist to vote the person chesskid wasn't voting, and then both vote Mist. While that was apparently never an issue since CC planned on being a martyr for me if chesskid won the challenge, it was a worry before I knew that.
First of all, all three of us are minors.chesskid3 wrote:@ Jurors: If you three were at a bar, and it was decided to repeatedly yell the N word louder and louder, with the first to chicken out having to pay the tab, do you think that person would be you?
Hmm... it'd depend on Mist. I don't think CC would chicken out before I would. I'd say probably not.-

- Out of the non-finalists, who do you believe played the best game? xofelf
- Out of the finalists, who do you believe played the worst game? Mist
- Which challenge was your least favorite? The second RAF challenge.
- How many challenges were non-terrible? 10
- What advice would you have for future mods of survivor games? Get your game reviewed by the Survivor Review Group.
- Who would you say was most blindsided by their elimination? Mhork
- Do you guys agree that it's about time for Ani to host another pokemon survivor? YES.
- What's your favorite League of Legends character? Ryze, because he's the champion I played as the one time I played LoL.
- What is the ideal number of HII's for a game? 1-2
- If your answer to the last question was greater than one, do you admit that you're a horrible person? Two should be okay for a complex game.
- Would it be better if I made an Arkham self-reference, or a Middle Earth self-reference during this list? Definitely Arkham.
- How many similarities can you find between this game and Mario Bros Survivor? This question is bad and you should feel bad.
- Should I have let the whole Mario Bros thing die a quiet death by now? mhm
- CHESSKID. Because you know he had to appear somewhere on this list. http://www.chesskid.com
- If you had to join a large, non-survivor mishmash game, what would you try to find? I want to try playing a purely challenge-based game again soon. Something like Kingdom Clash, or another TAR.
- Should Xofelf be worried that I'm going to try to get her to comod the above game you answered? If there's not a third there with you, probably.
- What is the least legitimate question on this list? The one below this one.
- If your answer to the above question IS the above question, then no, you're not clever. This isn't even a question, ergo illegitimate.
- Is there any point in pretending that this FTC is even really a contest? Gonna be honest and say no.
- What would be your reaction if Mist won this game? No comment.
- Which moderator is going to be more irritated at this list of questions? Definitely D3f.
- Do you agree that all things considered, they probably should have seen it coming? Yeah...
- Do you think any backstabs you made during the game will come back to bite you here? lolno
- Are you at all concerned that people might vote for Mist because of that? No comment.
- Did you make any new years resolutions? lolno
- Have you broken your new years resolutions yet? Hmm... Schrödinger's New Year's Resolution.
- If you'd been one of the members of my tribe, what would your merge strategy have been? So basically, if I were you? First of all, I'd have probably been more aggressive and made some kind of alliance, instead of just entertaining the thought. If I wasn't sure of my safety with my own tribe, I'd try and get some kind of connection with someone on Metazoa besides xof.
- Are there any stupid questions I should have added to this list? No, there are enough stupid questions as is.
- All in favor of just declaring Jal the winner? Hell no. This is my game.
- Are you dumb enough to click this link? Yeah, even though I saw that it was the link from Arkham.
- Have you quit betraying your allies yet? (Yes/no answers only, please.) No.
- What are your future survivor-related plans after this game? I'm taking a long break, staying away from playing these for awhile. Don't know if I'll come back. I'll probably spectate a lot, and I may mod a game late this year if I start working on it soon.
Well, I did tell chesskid and Mist what was happening, but they were never really involved in much other than hearing what was happening. I'd mostly run plans by CC as sort of a proofread, and then we'd spread the info out to relevant parties. By your terms, you were my next closest ally. We pretty much planned the specifics of the F9 vote together (with xof also approving, and me telling what was happening to CC), and I told you about my backup plan being to just tell Mist and chesskid a slightly twisted version of the Klick/xof/CC/TBO alliance. I discussed that with you and CC only. I also discussed boot order with you, and it was genuine up to F5, while I never actually discussed a boot order with Mist or chesskid that looked ahead more than one or two votes.Nyalite wrote:Klick - Other than CC who was your next closest ally? 1. Yours, hands-down. I did feel bad for voting out Mhork, but it didn't emotionally hurt me. Meanwhile, I was really sad voting you out - not as sad as I'd felt about blindsiding you at the Nich vote, strangely, but still really sad. I honestly don't fully know the reason why I felt worse about your vote than Mhork's, but it was probably because I've talked to you more and know you a lot better from previous games. In post 1057, xofelf wrote:Klick: You made it! Good job. <3 I know like 95% of what you did either by you telling me or by PoE, so I don't quite have a whole lot of questions for you right now. Rest assured, they will be coming in due time.1Which vote emotionally messed with you more: Mine or Mhork's?2Do you think your plans would have worked out if tribes had been set up as we intended them to be?
2. I think it would have been much tougher for things to go quite as smoothly, honestly. Having you on my tribe instead of the opposing tribe made it easier to keep an eye on and limit your social standings with other people. I think I still could have made it happen if I convinced you guys to target someone from Taino first at Merge, though, using the same strategy. It would be tougher, but I still think it would have gone my way. One thing to keep in mind there, though, is that we didn't foresee Crazy quitting. That would be an unpredictable disadvantage.
Hmm... I wish the events occurring during F9 happened more smoothly. Like I said, I told you a bit too much information there out of hysteria. While I think I handled it well, it certainly could have gone better. And I definitely could have made it to the end with another group of people - I believe that, had I stuck with you guys, we'd currently be in a Final Three of me, you, and TBO, with CC being fourth. There were other possibilities for me as well, such as making something happen with you and Nya.xofelf wrote:To all: Is there any one move that got made you wished had happened differently? Most of it was using prior knowledge of the players I was talking to so that I could judge how to keep their trust. To go into details about specific players:Nyalite wrote:Klick -You had a lot of success in trusting people and having them trust you too. I don't want to downplay this success, but can you elaborate on any strategies you had to ensure you could trust the players in your alliances? Or at least that were they to betray you, you were still protected?
- I knew that Mist is the type to go all in on an alliance and trust it fully (with Mario Bros. as my example), so she was someone I wanted to talk to from the beginning.
- With CC, I made a Final Two alliance with him before the first vote because I wanted to secure his trust; I had conveniently done the same thing with him in Greece before he disappeared, so we were able to talk about how this was "how Greece should have went" and stuff.
- I didn't actually work very hard on maintaining trust with chesskid - my strategy with him was more passive, letting him do his own thing and pointing him in the right direction. If I felt like he might not like an idea, I would work with CC to have me suggest ideas and have him approve of them. That way, he wouldn't be able to totally justify going against me for doing something he didn't like, without at least bringing up a concern.
- For you, Nya, I was in the position to be the only player that both wanted to save you and would make it happen, so I took advantage of it. We had discussed it, and I knew that I was one of the few people left that you would be able to trust.
- At first, the trust I had with xof and TBO was just due to the loyalty they assumed I had to our alliance. There wasn't much more to it. However, immediately after the Nich vote, I worked HARD to get xof's trust back - and it worked. I had just betrayed her, and not twenty-four hours later, I was able to make a Final Two deal with her. While I'll admit that I was being genuine about it at the time I made it, I ended up deciding against actually going to the end with xof. However, I still maintained xof's trust, and her track to the end still had me sitting there with her.
Pre-tribal phase. There was much less predictability than the rest of the game for me, and it's when the game first started moving its gears. I had the most fun here.Nyalite wrote:All three -What was your favorite moment of the game? (Other than making it to FTC!)-

I held more responsibility for most of the moves in this game made by our alliance than either of the other two did. I overall did more to ensure that both I and the other finalists would get here. Both CC and Mist have admitted that they relied heavily on me throughout the game, while I feel that I carried them through it. In fact, (and I'm sorry if this sounds mean, but) I can't recall any situation where one of the others in my alliance did something to further our goals without me being at least equally as involved. The closest exception I can find is CC giving information about Taino, and even then, I was getting the same information from you. Other than that, these two relied very much on my planning and my tactics to get them through the game.In post 1070, xofelf wrote:Why do you think you should win over the other finalists?
I don't think that. Why do you think the other finalists should win over you?

Yeah probably what CC said. You and I were both Geppettos, Mist, chesskid, and Nich were Pinocchios. CC was kinda both - he was a Geppetto with me, but was ultimately a Pinocchio. What do you think an analogy of Pinocchios and Geppettos means? If you understand what it means, who was a Geppetto and who was a Pinocchio in this game?
Oh wow, I actually have no idea. A lot. If I had to guess... going for 200. Probably about ten full days of gameplay for this. How much time have you put into this game? Do you think it was worth it?
It's hard for me to compare this to any anonymous game; they're just too different for me to compare their gameplay. Therefore, I'll compare this to my play in Mario Bros. Survivor. I think I was able to more accurately judge people's intentions in this game than in MBS. I set up plans that were more likely to work and had less consequences. I managed to not be too big of a threat until it was too late to stop me. In general, I kept myself safer while securing more votes by my side. I think I could improve in games like this by being less emotionally attached to the game. I'm always so engrossed in the games I play that, whenever any small thing goes wrong/sets me off, I can easily go into panic mode. This was evident during my breakdown while talking to you. I guess my way of improving would be taking the game LESS seriously.Compare your gameplay this game against your past games. What have you improved in this game? What has this game taught you that you need to improve on further?
Any players you talked with a lot this game that you hadn't in the past and are so very glad you did?- I got to actually talk to chesskid! I saw him around a lot before this, but never actually interacted with him. Now that we've talked some, I think he's a pretty cool guy and I'm glad I worked with him.
- Nya <3 We barely talked until this game, and now we talk frequently. We hadn't had the best experiences in past games, so we kinda didn't feel like we'd get along (or at least, that's how I felt), but once I started talking to her a lot, I realized that she was awesome. We had a lot of fun talking about off-topic stuff before things got serious, and when they did, we worked fantastically together.
- I'm glad I got to have some interesting conversations with myko too. We had talked some before, but not very much. During merge, we were strangely able to talk about how the game was going from a sort of spectator point of view. I had a fun figuring out what he was thinking during those conversations. By the way myko, I'd still like to talk about it post-game.
You know I'm incapable of doing this question properly due to lack of a childhood. T_T I may try it sometime later before my closing statement. Probably not.And finally a silly question(and by silly I mean the most important question in this list ), pick a Disney/animated character you feel fits each player. Short explanation as to why. Extra points for hilarity and accuracy.-

Before I get to my closing, I'd like to point out an issue I have with an answer I've seen.
While I see no problem with Point 1, I have issues with Points 2 and 3. I had already picked up on the fact that Mhork had something against chesskid and really wanted to vote him out. You may have had more information about it, but it was pretty obvious that he was not a chesskid fan. I don't believe that Point 2 really affected anything. Furthermore, as I explained earlier, I also received information from xof about the workings of Taino and had the capability to find this information myself. I also find it likely that myko told me exactly what he told CC here.In post 1058, CuddlyCaucasian wrote:
Thank you darling! In post 1057, xofelf wrote:CC: Lovely CC, I'm so very glad you made it~ Not surprised since you've been so close with Klick all game, but still happy for you nonetheless. I know you were excessively social during this game, so I want to know in your conversations what info did you discover that Klick had to find out through you?[...]1.In the early game, I communicated with Mhork much more than Klick did, and Mhork's trust in me was the only thing keeping him from attempting to ally with you, and I tried to keep our close relationship hidden from Klick so that Klick would have more trust in myself, and so that he would think I was more dependent on him.2.I found out through Mhork that he was much more insistent on getting Chesskid out than he let on, leading to our decision to vote Mhork out. Namely, without me, Klick wouldn't have realized how easily Mhork could stray away from us.3.I also found out that Nya, TBO, and Nich were running Taino, and that Mist was trying to ally with myko. In addition, I told Klick how myko was attempting to vote on his own terms, apart from the majority, and that contributed to convincing Mist to cut ties with him.[...]
*ahem*
I believe I have made it clear that I have played the best game among the three finalists. What stands out from my gameplay compared to the other two finalists is that I took full control of the situation I was in. I was able to control my own destiny all game without being stopped or requiring someone else to make a move themselves. It's hard for any player to be able to say that come the end of their Survivor journey. I am the primary reason I got here, and I'm the primary reason the two beside me got here.
Let's take, for example, the first vote of the merge. Had I not done any planning and left things up to my alliance... we probably would have just voted out Xalxe. Then, chesskid and Mist would have left immediately after. This would have eventually led to a Final Four of me, CC, xof, and TBO, where it was evident that CC would be the one to go; xof had told me herself that CC was expendable to her, and when discussing things with CC, he hadn't been told the same about me. (Meanwhile, xof and TBO were clearly not letting go of each other.) While I would have been safe to the end by doing absolutely nothing come merge, both of my opponents wouldn't be here had I not decided to bring them with me.
I'm running out of time (I'm typing this at the last minute ), but based on the above evidence and the events of this FTC, I don't think it's justifiable to vote for anyone but myself going into this vote. Thank you all for a wonderful game, and I can't wait until it's over.-
