all players: if you get bookworm and do not use it to nullify the gorilla(s), I will definitely plan for your downfall no matter what.

Moral of the story: don't bid a lot for bookworms.

The problem with that is if someone wants to get gorilla, they're just bid 2 on Bookworms. I think it's better not saying the maximum bid.

Thinking about it a bit more, why would someone burn 5 to get no advantage whatsoever?

If someone doesn't use bookworms on the gorilla, we all team up and kill them round 1.

If we are fairly confident we are the only two who bid 11, then you can bid something really low and I can bid lower, or vice versa, and get a bargain .

Yeah I asked the mod, and as earlier, you can change your bid until the last bid (mine hopefully) is in.

So theoretically, we should decide for one of us to get it, that person bids 1 the other bids 0.

I would like to get the bookworms, considering the above, if that is OK. We should discuss its application, as well. I think it should be saved and held as a threat.

I pretty much am waiting to hear from anyone about this. If someone was here overhearing us, they would have bid 2, not 1. Yet Maz surely would have bid 0, not 1. I am not moving on this until I am forced to or until someone comes out of the woodwork.

So, what is the strategy? I am scared of Stoofer and the greg, as they spent enough to get some stuff but not enough to be completely hindered by it as Pooky or mccoyn probably are.

Well, I got nada obviously. I agree with Guardian on Stoofer and The Greg. I'm thinking at least one of them got a really good power, probably Ray of the Parasite. I'd rather not have to spend the 10 energy to deal with that too many times.

I've never played this before, so correct me if I'm wrong, but even though Pooky and Mccoyn both most likely have a lot of powers (or just a few powerful ones), the fact that they are low on energy makes them less of a threat, right?

If they start gaining energy yeah, otherwise let them sit a few rounds.

I don't think we should claim powers. I like the unpredictability. It's more fun that way

I bid 22 on Scrying and did not win it. That excludes about half of us from having it -- Sudo_Nym has the most life of those who could, theoretically, have it.

Mutable armor is not overpowered if Stoofer cannot use it *next turn*. We would be able to finish him, then.

However, having 6 imps that survive you -- for a whopping 150/150 -- is quite powered.

For the record, when I sent in the spell Necromancy, I intended that the controller could only have one zombie of each player, but looking back at the wording, it could be used to create multiple zombies per player. I will be playing the spell as I originally intended (one zombie at a time for each dead player). Could you please inform the rest of the players of this without naming me as the spell's controller?

willing to let Stoofer live and use the earlier dice rolls. I saw him make them, and they were legit. Literally, I was hitting refresh on the page, I saw the initial ones and they did not change.

In the future though, all rolls = mod done. Definitely. To prevent this.

I am full defending, as that is pretty much the obvious play considering his threat. my power is completely defensive, and completely sucks, fyi.

greg is pretty obviously the play. I am attacking him/his minions with whatever I can spare from defense, and I highly recommend that you all do so. remember that attacking the guy with mutable armor is NOT pointless -- if he uses it and loses it prevents him from attacking next turn.

Guys, here is the plan.

Two people need to commit to and actually attack Stoofer zombie, one for 40, one for 20.
Some people can randomly attack Golem.
Some people can randomly attack Maz Mediaz zombie. I expect maz mediaz zombie to use raise dead, so make sure we attack maz mediaz zombie enough to deal 40 damage.

I will commit to attacking Stoofer zombie for 20, and I will randomly attack golem and or maz. Exactly one other player needs to attack Stoofer Zombie, and they must attack it for exactly 40.

Someone claim that posthaste.

Other than that, my plan makes sense, and I encourage all non-Greg to follow it.

I have bookworm -- raise dead will happen exactly once -- so I will not be bookworming it. If it becomes necessary, I will bookworm mutable armor, or necromancy (if greg raises himself from the dead...)
