Is it possible to win a Survivor while never lying and being incredibly loyal to everyone you make an alliance with? That's what I always try to do.

That's also why I never make alliances until I pretty much don't have a choice. And am constantly insinuating false truths without directly stating them.
Never be sorry for your little time.

It's not when you get there, it's always the climb.

I'm on the same boat with Nich, except I can't lie to anyone or really even talk to them without trying to be nice to them, making some people assume I want to align with them even though I want them out, and basically the whole game just stresses me out way more than any online game should. And after all the stress I put on myself, I never feel proud of myself after any game finishes (sans Arkham and The Amazing Race) because I always only focus on my mistakes in anything I do. >.<

KA that's still lying. Either lying by omission or lying by misleading.

You really can't get around deceiving people in survivor. It's part of the game. Very rarely do your best interest and someone else's coincide. When they don't you have to lie to them directly or indirectly. The question becomes just how much and who you deceive. Do you make a lot of alliances knowing you can't be faithful to them all? Do you make one true alliance and other "fake" ones?

You can come up with rationals for why what you said isn't really isn't a lie, but it doesn't make it so.

Also, I couldn't get anyone else on Xof's tribe to give me the time of day. I tried a couple of times, but any time I asked "So what was your tribe like?", I pretty much got the internet version of a blank stare.
Well, CC and I already knew that you planned to "run" things with xof. :P That was where you messed up. Had you not already made *master plans* with xof, it may have been xof out at F10 instead of you. You may have even been a part of it.
Actually, I figured Xof had firm control of her tribe, and therefore the merge. Part of the reason I went for *master plans* is because I figured it was the best route to not get pagong'ed.

Nya, I think we haven't really had the chance to actually talk to each other which is why I think you don't like me so far. Everytime we had tried to message each other during the game I was always gone because of School and work. =/

I actually did try during the challenges it was just hard to remember that we actually had a forum to look at.

I think I can't be part of a trend (I haven't played in ages), but I felt I had some things to complain about this game. There was a confessional question where the mods asked how they could improve their challenges and I stand by my answer there. You don't have to make much more of an effort then they already did with simply better results. Things like the raf challenge, and the "be in the smaller group" challenge simply do not work as well in team based games as they do in individual ones. Then you get people to talk and make deals etc which might make such a game better. When there are still teams, you'd love to have challenges where teams can help one another, where they have to discuss their strategy etc. Strategically more complex games can work here, you've got 7 players on either side who can come up with a strategy and talk about it. Like, the acronym challenge was a good example. That was something teams could work on.

In the end, the challenges themselves are nearly never going to be awesome. It's players that to make them fun. All you have to do is guide them a little with challenges that force them to play the game together.
Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.

This got moved to the other thread but belongs here so I am going to repost it.

I want to say a few words about Bahamas itself. I want to thank D3f3nd3r and Snakes for modding it. I know I did my fair share of complaining, but I regret a lot of it. I also agree with Shii comments about complaining during the game. It's fun to complain sometimes, and some of the challenges were frustrating. But I think it created a negative atmosphere around the game, when players all complain publicly it normalizes it and erodes the essential respect I think players should show to the mods. There is no doubt in my mind D3f3nd3r and Snakes both worked hard on this game and whatever our thoughts on what they produced, we need to first give them credit for their hard work.

So again, thank you D3f and Snakes for your hard work and diligence in modding the game.

Agreed. Thank you both for making this game and staying committed to it. While there were rough patches, I also really liked some of the ideas you guys had (The F5 challenge twist was great IMO, and the challenge maker reward was pretty cool, to name a couple).

I see all these comments in the form about the second RAF being the mod's idea to just re-use the challenge after running out of ideas. I actually planned on this second RAF from early on, because I feel that team RAF is vastly different from solo RAF.

I actually agree with this. The first RAF was not just pure Wifom like solo RAF. I actually correctly predicted the winning strategy in both rounds of team RAF, but my tribe didn't adhere to them. (I don't think anyone looked at my pretty charts)

I think the problem was the pervasive attitude of complaining started to become the norm. I actually didn't mind RAF 2.0, and it's not like it's the first time the same challenge appeared twice in one game. I did hate the essay one, but other people told me they didn't mind it. But by the time these challenges hit there was a pall on things. I am sorry for contributing to that.
