Game of Thrones Survivor - Sole Survivor Announced

By royal decree there is to be a SURVIVOR tournament held in honor of our Queen Cersei of house Lannister and the future Queen Margaery of house Tyrell.
May all who participate bring honor and glory to themselves and their houses.

Rules

This is an eighteen player, anonymous Survivor game.

The game will begin

Thursday January 23rd

and end no later than

Friday March 14th.

1 -

To uphold the integrity of the game, players must not share their identity to other players.

A -

We expect players to use their good judgement on what this rule prohibits.

B-

This includes discussing the game outside of the forums, hinting at your Mafiascum identity, or hinting at the identity of other players.

C-

Any violations of this rule will warrant extreme action, including the possibility of being mod killed.

2 -

The Moderators reserve the right to change, remove or institute new rules at any time.

Challenges

Challenges will come in many different styles to attempt to appeal to the broadest audience possible. We have worked diligently to ensure all challenges are fair.

1 -

Challenges will come in three flavors, tribal immunity, individual immunity and reward.

A-

Tribal Immunity challenges will have all tribes compete for immunity. Any tribe who does not receive immunity will be sent to Tribal Council.

B-

Individual immunity challenges will only award immunity to the top performing player. All players will then be sent to Tribal Council.

C-

Reward challenges will grant reward items to the winning players. There will not be Tribal Councils following reward challenges.

If a player requires additional time for any challenge, they must inform the mods at least six hours in advance of the deadline. Deadlines will be extended at Moderators discretion.

Tribal Council

1 -

Every tribal council has a 24 hour deadline.

2 -

You will vote in a specified thread in your confessional

3 -

You may change your vote anytime up to deadline.

4 -

If you do not submit a vote by deadline, you will automatically vote for yourself.

5 -

All results of tribal council are final.

6 -

In case of a tie, a revote will take place.

A-

During a revote players may only vote between the tied players. Tied players may not vote.

B-

If the revote does not break the tie, any tied player who self-voted in the original tie vote will be eliminated.

C-

If no players self-voted, and there are more than 6 players in the game, all non-immune players will be up for random elimination.

D-

If there are 6 or few players, all non-immune players will compete in a tiebreaker challenge.

7 -

If a Player cannot be present for a vote, they may send a conditional vote to the moderators in advance. Players may not "transfer" their vote to other players.

Activity

Survivor is a social and challenge-based game. It's optimal that you log on at least once a day, and sometimes more, to check-in on challenges and communicate with your tribemates. Low activity will result in a diminished enjoyment of the game for everyone involved. Players should ensure they have sufficient time to devote to the game before signing-up.

In order to keep the game running smoothly, we have implemented a four strike system.

Non-participation in individual submission challenges, events and/or votes will each result in a strike.

2 -

If you receive four strikes, you will be penalized at the mod's discretion, which may include being eliminated from the game.

18 competitors from all areas of Westeros and Essos have come to compete in a SURVIVOR tournament for honor and glory! Competitors made their way to King's Landing in three travelling groups of six, each group representing the most skilled individuals from their respective regions

Up until they reach King's Landing, each travelling group is unaware of the other two groups and what potential competitors they're destined to face - or potentially work beside.

Come Into My Castle

Challenge One

Each travelling group was required to choose three of their own to scout ahead to find King's Landing and enter the SURVIVOR Tournament. In order to gain access to the Red Keep, the three selected competitors from each group had to complete a series of

three

tasks. The tasks had to be completed in a specific order, with one designated person chosen to compete in each task. Additionally, competitors couldn't begin their own task until the task before their turn was completed by their fellow group mate.

The travelling group members that completing all their tasks, and therefore reaching the Red Keep in King's Landing in the quickest time would win a reward.

Task #1

Sansa Stark, Jaqen H'Ghar, and Daenerys Targaryen pieced together a torn map of King's Landing specific to their travelling group.

Each map contained a key to a password which competitors were instructed beforehand on how to use. The password allowed them access to a restricted area where their designated Task #2 group mate waited to receive the map in order to start their own task.

Task #2

Eddard Stark, Tyrion Lannister, and Viserys Targaryen used a key located on the right side of the map to decode a set of clues that were already given to them.

The decoded message gave competitors specific directions on how make their way to the Red Keep in King's Landing. The directions also contained another key to a password used to access a restricted area where their designated Task #3 group mate waited to receive both the map and directions in order to start the final task.

Task #3

Catelyn Tully, Shae, and Davos Seaworth used the decoded directions and pieced together map to make their way through the busy streets of King's Landing and reach the Red Keep where they would officially enter the SURVIVOR tournament.

Those completing all three tasks the quickest wins honor, glory, and a reward from Queen Cersei herself.

reach the Red Keep the quickest! In honour of this event, the three participating Southrons, Daenerys Targaryen, Viserys Targaryen, and Davos Seaworth were granted individual immunity in the first Tribal Council of the season.

Once reaching King's Landing, all three of the travelling groups and their players were revealed and introduced to one another. In preparation for the tournament ahead, the travelling groups were divided equally into three

Challenge Two

The tourney grounds were not to be ready for another few days, giving the new tribes extra time exploring the city. Lady Margaery Tyrell decided to make good use of this free time by having the tribes pick up some much needed goods around King's Landing.

For this challenge, tribes were given a list of eight links. Each link had two numbers removed from it and the clues as to what the numbers that complete it were. Once the correct numbers are placed in the link, it took them to a picture which they had to then identify the object showen and post a bold list of what each item was for their submission to be considered valid. Once all eight objects had been correctly identified and posted in a single list the challenge would be considered complete.

Battle Commander

Challenge Three

If the recent rebellions have taught us one thing, it is that the most important element of war is battle field strategy, not sheer numbers. The King decreed that Ser Kevan Lannister have all three tribes be tested in their ability to compose and command forces. To this end, a battle simulation was created tribes to compete against.

Each tribe was required to form an army. These armies consisted of 4 different types of units. Each army starts out with 1 of each unit and tribes received 100 golden dragons to spend on additional units. The units and their stats are below.

Once each tribe had formed an army, they do battle against the other two armies. Battles happen automatically and is be calculated by Ser Kevan Lannister himself.

Spoiler: How Battle Works

Each tribe's army will be in two battles. In each battle the armies will alternate between the role of attacker and defender.
While defending, all same type units will become one group with health based on how many units the group contains.
While attacking, each unit attacks the other army, one unit at a time. The units will attack in this order: Heavy Horse, Archers, Footman, Spear men.
Units will always perform the most damaging attack. All units do 1 damage to same type units.
After all of the attacking units have attacked, the attack is considered complete and the roles reverse, the defending army will attack and the attacking army will defend.

The tribe whose army who dealt the most damage in all battles is declared the victor. The tribe whose army dealt the lowest overall will be sent off to Tribal Council.

Challenge Four

Seeing the brave competitors battle for their right to stay, the notorious bard Marillion approached them with a challenge idea of his own.

In this challenge, tribes competed in a race to find words. Each tribe was presented with a grid of letters, similar, but of a more challenging difficulty to this one:

Tribes were required to form as many words possible in a fifteen minute period by connecting the letters together. Each word is worth a certain number of points based on word length.

Lady Margaery took a liking to this challenge and decided that the tribe with the least amount of total points at the end of fifteen minutes heads to Tribal Council.

Raided Caravan

Challenge Five: Reward

Margaery Tyrell had a dire need of the competitor's swords. As is well known, her family has been sending constant supply of food and other goods up the Rose Road from the Reach. They received a report that a caravan had been attacked by outlaws. The outlaws had already made off with many of the more valuable goods, but they were sure to come back. Lady Margaery implored the competitors on behalf of Highgarden and the people of King's Landing to go lend assistance. Those who proved the bravest and most helpful will have the favor of house Tyrell.

Competitors were required to help carry goods back from the attacked caravan. No more than 15 pounds of goods could be carried. Beyond this limit they could carry whatever combination of goods they wished. There were still bandits in the area, however. The more someone carried the slower the competitors would go, and the more likely they were to be attacked by bandits resulting in the loss of all their goods. However, the Tyrell's also do not reward cowardice! The players who brought back the least amount of goods do not receive their favor.
