If someone in the team doesn't designate a white card for you, you will be given a card randomly of those remaining.

Can I object to the final tiebreaker? To me at least it would make far more sense for it to be the lowest character count, because in order to win without talking judges ears off you would actually need to have a strong argument.

I feel like anything that encourages less activity is generally bad.

Yeah, and it probably won't, but rewarding people for fluff is just a huge pet peeve of mine.
And less characters doesn't mean less activity. If activity is an issue, then the judges would penalize them for that, which would be worse than having a better chance in a second tiebreaker.

All White Cards have been posted in your individual match-ups in the Private Threads section. Please look there for yours and your opponents choices. If you do not have access, please notify a mod ASAP.
Teams may now discuss which Black Cards to play. Please remember that each player within the match-up will play one Black Card on themselves. The player will also play one Black Card on each opponent's character. Once all 9 Black Cards have been posted in your individual match-up thread, the discussion between you three may begin on who will win the battle. If at 7:30pm EDT tonight any Black Cards have not yet been played, randomized card(s) will be played on your behalf. Please remember that once your Battle Discussion begins, you are no longer able to discuss your match-up with your teammates.
All discussion in your match-ups will close at 7:30pm EDT on Tuesday night. The threads will auto-lock at that point and judging will begin.

For black cards, players may use any of the remaining 30 in their team's pool. Once a black card is posted in a match up it is no longer available to anyone else on the team. Please remember that once your match up begins, you cannot discuss yours further with any teammates.
