If I got rid of the strongman I'd have a cop and a

completely bulletproof

townie with no counterweight at all. Is that really balanced?

My thought process was

• A cop alone is close to balanced but a bit scumsided,
  
• but
  adding a bulletproof townie is too much and makes it townsided,
  
• but
  adding a strongman weakens the BP too much since scum will just use it every night,
  
• but
  adding a useless ninja fakes scum out of doing that, so is hopefully balanced.

RC, putting aside whether you like that method of balance, do you think the game is in fact balanced?

I mean, Nexus hasn't passed it as-is.

I can try and townside it more but I'm not sure how to do that without going back to the drawing board altogether.

To be honest it's probably slightly scum sided anyway. if strongman busses the ninja and claims tracker that's pretty much game. the bulletproof isn't going to absorb two shots.

Would a doctor with the ability to self-target be overpowered as a replacement for the BP, and if not would it be acceptable as the one non-normal role?

If not, what would work? I'd like at least one of the Ninja or Strongman roles to actually be useful.

Wait, that's possibly worse because there's a better chance it's killed early.

Yeah, too swingy... well, what is more powerful than a BP but countered by a strongman? Just a normal doctor?

I feel like if I were mafia I would want use the ninja until I had a specific reason to think a kill would be blocked. Also the ninja might make mafia paranoid about strongmanning obvious kills, e.g. claimed cop, in case there's a watcher.

I can just withdraw the setup, if no one can agree on whether it's balanced or whether any possible change to it is better or worse than what it is now?

I guess I can do it with a bodyguard, but can someone explain how that's balanced while a BP is scumsided?

So if the kill on the bodyguard's target is strongmanned, I assume they both die?

I'm going to kill the theming on this game and just leave it as an unnammed "Mini Normal," but this won't affect any of the actual text except the theme-related text in the intro post.
