The Rules
1. All rules from [this post](mafiascum rules) apply here too.
2. Don't directly quote any game-related PMs I've sent you. Paraphrasing is OK.
3. Don't intentionally obfuscate your messages; cryptography, tiny text, and the like are not allowed.
4. Provable randomness, such as dice tags, is banned.
5. Treat your fellow users with respect. As a cool guy on this site once said, "Attack the play, not the player".
6. Don't pretend to be the mod. Green is my color. Please don't use it.
7. Each in-game day will last 14 days and each in-game night will last 2 days.
8. Players that haven't posted with game-advancing content for 48 hours will be prodded. If a player is prodded and doesn't post within 24 hours of the prod, I will look for a replacement for that slot. If a player receives three prods, they will be replaced. If you're in V/LA, you are exempt from the above rules for the duration of your V/LA. You must announce the V/LA either in-thread or in a PM to me.
9. If a player is voted for by a majority (1/2 of the living players, rounded up), they are lynched and removed from the game. After a lynch, all living players may post until the thread is locked: this time is called Twilight.
10. Votes will be counted if they are placed by the vote tag or in bold, and are recognizable as votes. Don't abuse this rule for vote trickery. Examples of these votes:

11. If a player wants to end the day without a lynch, they may vote for "No Lynch". If a majority votes for No Lynch, the night will start early. If there is no majority vote by the deadline, no lynch will take place that Day.

I don't like 3 Mafia + Vig + SK, it seems quite a lot of deaths as a risk.

It is a lot, though it's balanced against a lot of ways to stop a kill - town doctor, roleblocker, and commuter. And on the mafia side a roleblocker and a bulletproof. There's inherent swinginess to it.

Yeah I thought if I centered the power roles around stopping kills it would make it more balanced. Theres 3 kills: sk, mafia, and vig. And five ways to prevent kills: town doctor, town commuter, town roleblocker, mafia roleblocker and bulletproof mafia.

Three kills a night is still a lot of possibilities for a mini. The Serial Killer is the worst off with no potential to protect itself.
As SKs generally suck in minis, best to remove it in its entirety and place a Mafia Goon instead.

Lynch thresholds in the rules are incorrectly worded, at the moment if there are door example 8 players left alive, that rule days someone would be lynched upon receiving 4 votes.

Ok, if I remove the serial killer I'll change the BP Mafia to a Mafia Watcher, change the goon to a 1-shot strongman, and add a VT.

So the vigilante is unlimited shot. That's not something I see all that often in mini games. I think town may have too much kill-neutralizing power, though. Lemme think about it.

The ungated cop may be a problem, too. Maybe change the doc to a jailkeeper.

I think Mafia has enough control with their thinngs that the ungated cop is fine as it is, all three of those roles can prevent a follow the cop scenario. If it's not based around innocents, but with the Vig there, the death count should go fast enough that it's unlikely to be a problem as much.

I think it works as it is at the moment.

That's one high powered setup. Not sure about balance honestly, this could go wrong for scum in multiple ways, but then I suspect they got a little more power than they deserved. Then again, they are going to whine if they lose about the power town got, so you can put it out there that I think scum had the edge. Role pm's look fine as well.

I'd say there is variance but it is balanced; it could swing in either direction and swing back depending on how the night actions resolve and how each team plays.
