Funny thing, i was once a Desperado and I didn't know it up until MYLO and then I figured out I was Desp and then used my ability to win game.

If Desp holds onto his power for longer than Day1/2 I think its very very powerful, but yeah unlikely to not be used in first few day phases.

I think the setup is fine, unless you think theres something that specifically can be adjusted Antihero?

I agree its not "town sided" but, I don't think scum have a huge advantage in this.

personally Id rather see an invest taken out and a prot put in this game, but I think that might swing game the other way.
And kind of goes away from the theme of this game.

The 3 investigatives are all of the exact same type with the exact same limitation, and the scumteam via their ninja shot are warned of that. A scumteam who assumes that they're under no threat of being caught is making a faulty assumption, and that's on them.

If the town lynches their own power, then that would be the fault of the town, not the setup.
While it's true the three investigatives all being of the same type is unusual in a mini normal, the total amount of town power is not: four total town PRs, with three of them as (slightly) gated. Additionally, the Desperado shooting one of said investigatives gives the town a clue that, yes, they are in fact town investigatives. With the exception of the Desperado (which can prove its power), them being of the same theme gives the town a clue to the synergy of the setup, and if the town can't figure it out, then they can't figure it out.

I think that while there would be the chance of the losing side complaining, the game's neither swingy nor unbalanced. There's no breaking strategy for the town; there's no inherent weakness to be exploited by the scum. Town being lynched hurts the town but not beyond recovery; scum being lynched hurts the scum but not beyond recovery.

Simply put, my opinion on the game is, if the Desperado doesn't have the bulletproof, any complaints about game balance would be 100% objectively wrong. To me, it's a balanced setup. It has a fun, unique quirk to it. (The theme of the investigative roles.) There's not any aspect of the setup which I see as inherently unfun. There's not any aspect of the setup I see as "not fair". I don't have any other metrics by which to judge the game, and all of these decisions, all of this process, can be explained in the postgame if need be.

But were I outvoted here, I would be willing to work on tweaking the setup further.

I don't really think we as reviewers should punish mods who have setups which discourage outguessing the mod, basically.

you should also prob type up how the results pm's are going to look for the investigatives just to cover your bases
