General Information
- Do not quote PMs from the moderator into the gamethread, and do not quote anything from a PT into the gamethread. Paraphrasing is OK.
- Do not discuss this game with anyone outside of the main gamethread and any relevant PTs.
- Do not make text intentionally difficult to read (examples include invisible text, small text, and text hidden via BBCode) or any form of encryption. Exceptions include spoiler tags and breadcrumbs.
- Even if you have the permissions to, do not edit or delete posts in the game thread. If you made a formatting mistake that impacts readability, notify me and I will attempt to fix it as soon as possible.
Activity
- I deliver prods after 48 hours of inactivity unless a player is V/LA.
- A prodded player has 24 hours to make a game-advancing post before I replace them.
- Three prods leads to a force-replace.
- If I accidentally prod you while on V/LA or before your 48 hours are up, the prod will not count against you.
- If I am asked to prod a player when, by the rules, they do not need to be prodded, I may send them an "informal prod" if I feel the circumstances of the game permit it.
- Please bold any requests to have a V/LA made in the gamethread. I will acknowledge an unbolded request, but having it bolded ensures I see it.
- If a V/LA is longer than 4 days, you must post at least once every 72 hours. Depending on the nature of the V/LA, I may be less stringent on the amount of content needed for a post to count.
Gameplay
- The game's day phases will last two weeks (14 days).
- The game's night phases will last two days. The night may be extended if I cannot access the gamethread at the time of the daystart.
- You may use either vote or bold tags to indicate a vote, as long as it is formatted as VOTE: gigabyteTroubadour or
VOTE: gigabyteTroubadour.
- Any sort of misspelling, pun, nickname, or abbreviation will count in a vote, as long as it's clear who is being voted for. VOTE: Giggles would be a valid vote for myself if I were in the game.
- As soon as a simple majority of players vote for the same player, the day ends with the death and role reveal of that player.
- Players are free to post during the day until I lock the thread. Even a lynched player may continue to post until they are flipped.
- Players who die, whether by lynch, by night kill, or by modkill, are allowed to post one "bah" post after their flip. After that, dead players are not allowed to post in the gamethread until the end of the game.
- If a player is modkilled for any reason, the day will continue as normal unless the game ends with that player's death.
- Any informed minority groups are guaranteed to have daytalk at all times.
- Players with access to a factional kill (such as mafia members) are able to use their factional kill while using an ability granted by a role.
- Always play to your win condition.
Moderation
- I reserve the right to update the rules as I see fit midgame. If I make any changes to the ruleset, I will make a post in the main gamethread acknowledging the specific change as transparently as possible.
- I reserve the right to enforce my rules as I see them and with the appropriate consequences.
- Please avoid using
,#c3b4ed,#92d3e8, and colors that look similar. Please also do not use the font "Helvetica". This font and these colors are reserved for modposts and should not be used to avoid confusion between my posts and players' posts. - Remember, the forum rules and guidelines apply everywhere on site, and my games are no exception.
- Be mindful of the language you use when posting. I am fine with cursing, but I will censor players who use harmful slurs and force-replace them if it gets excessive.
- If the gamethread is excessively toxic, I will do my best to resolve the issues as diplomatically as possible without harming the gamestate. This may include warnings for harassment, but if that is not enough I will not hesitate to force-replace players.
- Have fun! Mafia gets heated sometimes but that should not interfere with your enjoyment of the game.
- Do not hesitate to ask me any questions or send any concerns about the rules or the game via PM.

- It is guaranteed that there are 10 members of the

- The setup was reviewed for normalcy and balance by X, Y, and Z.
