This setup is kinda ugly for a lot of reasons

Balance is wrong
Strongman counters almost all of town power
Strongman dies you can follow the vig

I would recommend fundamentally changing the setup tbh

just fucking around with some ideas because i need something to procrastinate on studying for finals with

something like
mafia 1-shot strongarm? so it's still a guilty to a rolecop

split the joat into a town roleblocker and town rolecop

disallow doc consec targeting? if that's allowed in normals

I think the above proposal is improved over the original one, in terms of balance.

Idea:
For the doctor if you don't want them to consecutively target the same person, you could apply non-consecutive as the modifier for the doctor then.
BUT if the doctor protects on n1, then is roleblocked n2, then decides to protect on n3 and is not blocked - they still can't protect .

A doctor cannot protect against strongman, neither can a roleblocker.

I believe the resolution goes like this....

i feel like that's loltown enough for it to be acceptably town's fault? and it balances with rolecop having 2 guilties of the 3 mafia instead of 1 of 3?

Miscellaneous
  • The site-wide rules apply in the game thread and any other threads directly related to the game.

  • Use of Outside of Game Information is strictly prohibited. This includes alignment reads off of almost anything not a product of posts in thread, such as reports, online status or forum signature changes.

  • I have the final say in any decisions.

Voting, Lynching, Death
  • For a vote to be counted, it must be in vote tages, like so: VOTE: sheepsaysmeep or VOTE: sheep. Nicknames with a clear indication of the user being referenced are acceptable.
  • Unvotes can be used in the form UNVOTE: sheep or UNVOTE: . They are not necessary when switching votes.
  • A lynch will occur when a player achieves a majority, more than half, of the votes of living players. When this has happened, any subsequent votes and unvotes will not be counted, and night will begin as soon as I have declared the lynch. Posting after a lynch but before I resolve the day phase is allowed.
  • "No lynch" is a valid option as a vote instead of a player.
  • In the event of a deadline passing without a player gaining a majority of votes, there will be no lynch.
  • Once you're dead, you are dead. Do not post in the thread until the game is over; "Bah" posts are not allowed.

Activity & Deadlines
  • Prods will be issued after 48 hours in a row without game related posting. Whether a post qualifies as contentful is up to me, but it should be pretty easy to tell. The need of a prod after the third may result in force replacement at my discretion.
  • If a player does not respond 24 hours after receiving a prod, the player will be substituted unless the player can appear before a replacement is found.
  • If you will be on V/LA, you must let me know in advance. V/LAs for longer than a week are not acceptable.
  • Days will have a 10 day deadline.
  • Nights will have a 2 day deadline. If a night action is not submitted, the player will not do anything.

Setup
  • Regardless of whether an Encryptor is present, any private threads begin the game open during the day.
  • Mafia can perform any abilities alongside the factional kill simultaneously.

I think the non-consecutive Doctor has more positive utility than a 2-shot Jailkeeper...the latter can be positive or negative based on who is targeted.

If a Mason claims on d1 and the Jk ends up jailing him 2 nights in a row, that could mean 2 soft confirmed town.

The 2 roles will have different effects as the Doc is simply restricted but positive usage, the Jk can be positive in protection or stopping scum OR negative to town prs.

I would say either is fine , a non-consecutive Doc or a 2-shot Jk....it depends on what your intents of the setup are.
