Why wouldn't that fall under "Best performance: scum" or "most cunning manipulator" or something else we already have?

Because best bus is like best roleclaim, it's not going to be lumped in with Best Performance by an Individual either.

Why would those two specific scum tactics require their own awards? Couldn't those fall into the Best Performance (Scum) category just fine?

If categories were opened up for specific tactics, you'd probably have to create further and further subdivisions of awards outside of those two as well. Also, how about town tactics like Best Case Against Scum (Town) or Best Lightning Rod (Town)? The possibilities would be endless, which is probably why the awards are so generalized.

Like say, Best Mafia Catcher, or Most Cunning Manipulation. Am I missing something?

Most specifically for his introduction of a new game mechanic which he used in two of his latest games that I believe has huge potential to change the way mafia games are made and played. The mechanic I am referring to is the

Punisher Roles

(his name) that he created in B5 and Mind Screw 2.

I feel that this is more than just a "Best Role" nomination mainly because the roles themselves are not what I'm targeting. Its the idea BEHIND the roles which I feel should be recognized.

Mind Screw 2 had one punisher role:
Role: Tarhaliander, played by Nat in MS2

B5 had two:
Soul Hunter, played by Vis Major and
Lorien, played by Darox

This should be "Best Role" because you are talking about the Roles. This is not really a contribution to Mafia
