It was HILARIOUS when it happened, and it comes to mind all the time as one of the funniest things I've read in a game. In this particular game, PV is scum who has semi-counterclaimed beastcharizard, who then townread him for it. Antihero (town) subsequently loses his mind.

Nominate MafiaSSK/Natirasha with Dark Age of the Law for Game of the Year.

Starting with the concept - double day mechanic, plus a set number of days to win - this game had an interesting take on how to manipulate the lynches (from a scum POV) and how to recognize new tells (from town POV). The setup itself was genius in that it required the players to use their night actions as efficiently as possible (only 2 nights were available for actions). Scum needed to have at least two members (of 4) alive by the time the last allowed lynch occurred in order to win, so navigating the lynches, manipulating claims, and supporting each other were equally as challenging. Additionally, the modding itself was expertly handled. Scum received appropriate fake claims, vote counts were prompt and clear, the setup and mechanics were clearly described, and the flavor was fun, fitting, and cohesive. Whether you were familiar with it or not made no difference - it all came together very well.

On top of all that, the playerlist was amazing. Everyone really worked together (most of the time) and it paid off in a really well-earned town win. (I was scum but they did really well!)

Of the games I've played/witnessed so far this year, this game continues to stand out as excellent in every category and definitely deserves this nomination.

MS for the game of the year, I wanted to wait to play a bunch of games so I could really pick the best one in comparison. Also I was pretty butthurt at the end of it for a little while XD

Nominate FakeGod's Dance Mechanic for Best Mutation

With an uneven number of players, obviously someone's going to get left out. The "gentlemen" put out invitations for the "ladies" to dance with them. The odd-one-out who isn't chosen is lynched, and the dance partners become lovers. Oh, and you can "leave the dance" at anytime, which suicides you and your partner. So, on the one hand, you have this weird pair-tracking game in the thread, and on the other hand, you're playing a different game in your Lover QT to figure out if your partner is secretly scum or not.

Really just a simple but brilliant twist on the game.

as part of the heartless hydra. we replaced in at L-1. tth got the scumbag in my blind spot, got him lynched, then got the final scum lynched the next day despite my wanting to chase red herrings.

replaced into a vt slot at L-2 (someone made it L-1 before she caught up) with only a couple days to go until deadline. she turned around the wagon onto scum, who had zero votes on him when she replaced in. she started a scum wagon completely from scratch and managed to get it to lynch while never dropping below L-2. and she didn't have a pr claim to save her, it was just a solid case.
