Post count is + points per post/10
Every successful Lynch on a player of the opposite alignment is + points (+ additional points if they were on the wagon)
Every successful Lynch on a player of the same alignment is - points (- additional points if player was on the wagon)
+points per day the player is voting a player of the opposite alignment
- points for dying
+points for being alive at the end if the game
+ points for winning
-points for losing

Players are drafted blind from a list we demand from UT immediately before role PMs are sent: 1 player per game.

Obviously we'd need UT's permission/cooperation, but from his end the only thing that would be necessary would be announcing playerlists for the games a day or two in advance of the actual start of the event/distrubution of role PMs, which may even be preferable from an organization standpoint.

We could go either opt in or opt out for the TM players to prevent hurt feelings about not being drafted/not being drafted early enough.

if it's only players not involved in the event whatsoever participating in fantasy mafia, can't u just make a spectator pt for ongoing games discussion?

mods let players who aren't in the game in spectator threads all the time - but those players (I imagine) are vetted just like the players who play the game - the forum moderator asks a site moderator (all of which can see who is an alt of whom). RAS got around this using VPNs

Conveniently, all of these games are straight moderated by site moderators, so they don't even have to ask anyone - they can tell.

Oh, yeah, and they can tell even if you don't mark that it's an alt of yourself by looking at the IP you log in with. Unless you regularly move places or use a VPN, there's no getting around it.

fair but - using a proxy is really really easy

epic privacy browser is a free browser that comes with a proxy. it's really easy to make an alt that not even the mods knew was me

Why would spectators be disabled for these games and not all other ones?
I'm not saying any of this is difficult, I'm saying you're remarking negatively on the likelihood of something happening that already happens regularly.

For someone determined to cheat or get around a system, there is always a way. The goal of security is to make it too difficult to make it worth your time or to dissuade enough people that the system still works in general. At least part of this system is based on honor.

Communication isn't an important part of mafia, reads are the only thing that matter. You should just abuse the game state and write what you feel so that you can get the best reads you're capable of. Who cares what anyone else is doing, am I right? If they were better mafia players, they'd take control of the game first. All that matters is that, win or lose, your reads were right so you can justify spending all game spamming the thread with why town should listen to you in your next game. Doesn't matter if your reads were only right because there was only one time when you called the universal townread scum (and were right about it) because you were paranoid and you never actually voted or pushed for that player. Definitely doesn't matter if you had a chance to vote that player in Lylo and win the game for town but lost because your

actual

reads don't match the ones you think you had in hindsight. All that matters is that at some point in the game you were right and your goal for next game should be to shout more and listen less because you're better at this game than anyone else. And if anyone tells you you're playing badly, just say that it's your play style and other players just need to get over it. That's how meta works anyways, and mafia is a game about learning how to play around everyone else, so everyone should learn how to play around you while you completely ignore anything and everything anyone else might be doing. There's no such thing as a bad play style, right? Just call yourself lynchbait and your play is automatically acceptable anyways - your play isn't bad, it's just the whole site needs to learn how to change to accommodate you!
