I don't really think my reason to town read Herta was good. Looking at
85 again, I would town read it more if it actually shut down conversation with skitter. Because the tone of the post is like "fuck you for being aggro" but the actual action the post takes is to be super reasonable and
come off looking like the good guy
. This is not to say that shutting down a conversation is towny but I think generally scum are less likely to want to do that unless they are fairly experienced because they *want* to be seen as towny. The fact that this post's tone and actions don't really align either means I think I was wrong to town read Herta for it.
Also, Herta rolled scum in 2177, and while there's nothing that perfectly matches the tone of that post, there is a similar sort of... indignation in posts

751 after Shoshin starts pushing them. So like again, the tone here probably was a bad reason to town read Herta
but uh anyway that vote on Scoliosis is pretty bad. Herta has not mentioned Scoliosis once this game, and I think any townie would have some natural suspicion towards Pooky's bombastic entrance to the game.
the fact that Herta didn't try to engage with either side of the 1v1, didn't comment on either side of the 1v1, but *did* feel obligated to make a comment such as "Pooky sweeps in and takes over" which is just a statement about the game and not a position on anyone's alignment is pretty much a move ripped straight from Herta's scum game in 2177. It reads exactly like someone who is awkward in the thread, doesn't want to state reads on big wagons, and wants to blend in but doesn't know how.
I really disagree with Pooky's take that Herta is somehow fluid in this thread, and I would like more elaboration on that.
Like, if I go through Herta's ISO and look at the actual number of opinions Herta has outed, I can count them on one hand.

Herta maybe had a pocket scum read on skitter but then immediately feels better about it.
Gera is maybe scum? except no Herta is willing to vote Scoliosis 200 posts later without progressing at all on Gera or developing a read on Scoliosis
The only strong opinion that Herta outs is the meta town read on KT, which is like fine and all but this is exactly the easiest type of read for scum to form. And it's basically the only read Herta has explained. They seem very awkward pushing anyone but much more comfortable when explaining their read on KT, and that's a mark of someone who isn't comfortable playing scum
In general there's just a lot of posts that ask questions but never get followed up on, or lots of posts that try to portray some sort of background thought process like "something to note for now" or "there's something else I'm waiting for and need to sit on" in regards to Kitty, but also have yet to be followed up on and feel... LAMIST more than something a townie actually puts down because they think that non-information will be useful
