This doesnt come off as someone who is "Declaring they were knowledgeable" this sounds like someone who read another game with you and saw a different cadence to your posts. Skellen just mentions it, and then is asked to support the idea, which she does by linking to a game where she found Rob to be different.

Like that whole exchange could have easily ended with you saying you were trying out a new style and games older than 6 months would have stale meta. Instead you start pushing the goal posts back further and further on a read being made on that until you are just discrediting the way the read was formed, but you are ignoring the read itself.

It reads as a contrived base reason and something that you feel you need to stick with and make an example of instead of brushing it off and playing the new style you say you are working on you easily allow yourself to be pushed back to the style you say doesnt exist, and admit you used to use.

I had to look because you seem familiar, but not really. We had that one game together right when I came back on site, and then a marathon game with me under Nev and Max.

These was a string of games back in 2017 where I rolled scum 3 times in a row. It was just after taking a break with my dad and I just couldn't handle it. LUV was in one of the games mini 1942 I think. Mini 1925 was another one, with Rob in it and Dunn took my scum slot when I replaced out.

This is the game I rolled scum in first and feel I played well. Endgamed with a partner, decent scum thread to dive into. LUV is in this one too.viewtopic.php?f=53&t=70568

Anything older and we are talking 2015. I have some other newer ones, but those are replace ins and they are meh.

I think the lack of a hook is what is making your iso look empty. Like even with the lines you have out there you aren't driving any of them, you just cast them and walked away. So to anyone giving a cursory glance your way it looks like you have your shit together and are in prime fish catching mode. To someone with a more discerning eye your lines are tangled, you didn't use any kind of weight or bobbers, you tied your hooks on with a loose knot and your tub of worms got knocked over and they are crawling away.

That first part is kind of werid. Town scan always find something to get into the game. Scum are the ones who have trouble getting into the game.

When you add the 2nd part, your asked plenty of questions and you’re still struggling, which makes those questions pretty useless. If they were useful, you’d be doing something with them.

i'm basically trying to gauge how capable u are at faking nuance as scum; i'm tending towards thinking that holistically your catchups are pretty townie for the nuance displayed in them - i need to check this tho, and i'm going to check this link when i get a chance after work

ya i know, i'm working on it, sometimes i need a little more time to get into a game, i can understand why you might read it as fluff tho; it isn't, it's serving a purpose for me, even if hasn't come to fruition yet

first time was gut - kinda like a relaxed tone, not sure how well i can elaborate on a gut read like this
now it's like what i said before, it's more the nuance displayed in your catchups - in a vaccuum i think it's kinda hard for scum to fake taht sort of analysis, so in general i kinda townread that; i need to check your scumgame to see how well this might apply to you specifically tho

i think we fundamentally have different playstyles

i'm not really asking anyone to beleive i'm town rn, i'm explaining what my process for this game is; sometimes it takes a little longer for me to get into this; if i'm still doing this like .... day 3 (or even like day 2) i'd agree with you that you should be concerned, but at this point in day1 sometimes i need to find something to get me *into* the game. sometimes it happens p1. sometimes it happens a little later, i'm still working on it; this convo is helping tho; usually those sort of questions help but in this particular game they weren't that useful to me
