i played a bit risky there with the intention of moving onto sircakez. i was counting on alchemist not catching on too much, so that i could do that.

Been having a depressing IRL for the past few weeks again.

I do feel comfortable about being able to call tris scum and egix town though.
And I feel like it was very silly to have a 2S-1T hood overall.
I guess(?) it doesn't screw with the actual balance much, but it gives you a very false sense about the setup when you know that the scum don't have a daytalk in their own PT.
And then you put 2 of them in the hood that has a daytalk.
Silly.

I figured we were gonna kill you early Una, maybe have one of us claim neighbour to have a more favourable meta on scum in neighbourhoods, and have a route to partial daytalk that way. But I also wasn't super comfortable with what I was supposed to be doing in the neighbourhood as a whole from either alignment.


On the setup: I don't think it's that wack. NRG position on balance is ~3 solid roles for 3 goons. You've got an activated IC, the even nights cop and a personal watcher who down the line can maybe confirm town power roles and makes fake claims from scum harder filling those slots. The even-nights symmetry gives you a bit of a hint. The 1-shot jailkeeper is a little extra to smooth out swing and give the town a bit more cos scum don't have 0 counterplay. The neighbourhood might go against site meta but the no day talk might hint there is something funky there and the NRG is also up for breaking from site meta in a controlled way so games don't get too predictable.

That salt in the wound. That's the first time I have been that far off with my read on someone since I started playing here. You somehow pushed the right buttons to me.

To think that the first two major wagons of the game were on 2/3 scum.

I could see maybe making the Commuter a goon if I had to do it again.

But the town losing their cop and watcher early really hurt them in this go around.

I actually think town wins 55% of the time in this setup.

Tbh I wasn’t a fan of the 2s-1T hood because of the natural assumptions people would make about balance, but a lot of people did question it at some point so maybe it’s not an auto-lose setup for Town. I’m not really a balance expert.

Can we get the review PT? I’m curious what NSG and Mastina said about it.
